I liked the jacket, but was very disappointed with the company’s integrity. I purchased a significant amount from them—almost $2,000 worth. Before ordering, I subscribed to their list to receive the advertised 10% discount, which was meaningful given the size of the purchase.
I waited several days for the discount email, but it never arrived. I ultimately had to place the order in time for an upcoming ski trip. At the same time, I contacted customer service to explain the situation, expecting they would recognize the issue and honor the discount.
They were polite, but instead of applying the 10% discount to my $2,000 order, they offered it on a future purchase “as a courtesy.” That response was disappointing. Whether by design or due to a flaw in their system, they failed to deliver on their promotion—and this was how they chose to handle it.
I received the order and returned all of it.
There are plenty of other independent ski clothing brands that do not treat customers this way. I rarely write reviews—good or bad—but felt compelled to share this negative experience with Halfdays.
