Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

I think everything this brand makes is pretty cool. I especially love the lip products. I want to say it’s over priced, but honestly it’s worth it.

Most of what they make is great quality and lasts a long time
Purchased some makeup from this brand. Cute, does what it says, reasonable price.

I purchased an eyeshadow stick, but it pretty much matched my skintone. So make sure you're sure of what color you're buying! A little blush goes a long way
Never truly loved any of their products.

Not worth the money! Nothing remarkable.
I know this company is a cult favorite but I don’t get the hype. The Cloud cream blush is just OK, I found it’s very pigmented but it doesn’t blend well. The mascara falls flat within an hour. And the lipgloss is not very comfortable for long wear. It pains me to say because I really want to like Glossier, it’s top shelf pretty, at least.
My absolute faves include Boy Brow in shade Blonde, Cloud Paint in shade Puff, the Monochromes in shade Almond, and Brow Flick in shade Brown. I love using Brow Flick for my eyeliner for a more subtle look.

I would avoid their Stretch Concealer if you have really pale skin - the palest shade was too yellow on me. Did not like Lidstar - it cracked and didn't apply well or stay. Skywash is a waste of money in my opinion as well, it was flaky and sheer when it's supposed to be matte.
obsessed with this skincare line, have the best products

amazing products!!
I love using glossier because their products are very natural. I love how this brand has everything like skincare, makeup, body care, and fragrances.

I love their body care more than their skincare. Their niacinamide serum is very nice though because it’s not higher than 5% which can cause inflammation in the skin.
All three of daughters use the lip stuff. They love them.

All three of daughters use the lip stuff. They love them. A little pricey for teens to be using.
This brand is one of my top favorites! For people who want more glam or coverage, this is not the brand for you, but the minimalism of Glossier works in my lifestyle. Items I have used: *Lash Slick - my favorite mascara. Feels weightless on my sensitive eyes but still gives length *Brow Flick - perfectly fills in my brows with sharp wispy hair lines *Boy Brow - only brow definer I will ever use, I always come back to this *Cloud Paint - have tried several shades and love the versatility and blend-ability *Generation G - not a bad matte lipstick, I just don't love matte on myself, somewhat drying so maybe this is like the one thing I wouldn't repurchase *Ultralip - the perfect gloss-lipstick hybrid with semi-sheer finish... I love her *Invisible Shield - amazing sunscreen for under make up! Primer-esque, and smells like classic summer sunscreen *Glossier You - my go-to perfume... its light but kinda juicy and just feels right *Glossier Candles - You and Orange Neroli scent, they put out the best smell even without lighting The brand is just so fun to follow and the packages always come with a little fun sample and stickers. Love the marketing!
Overall absolutely adore this brand, everything I have tried I loved just a little on the side of buying just for the brand name.
I have purchased the boy brow, cloud paint, balm Dotcom, and lash slick. -I am in love with the boy brow and cloud paint, making it a staple in my makeup routine. -The lash slick was disappointing and smudged easily. -Balm Dotcom was good but not worth buying it full price. If on sale get it! -I am far from being good at makeup so glossier's minimalist and high quality products are great for me.

Do not expect "bold" heavy makeup. Glossier is known for their "natural" aesthetic.
Absolutely love the Boy Brow - have bought it multiple times now and always find the purchasing process straightforward, arrives quickly and is packaged well with a cute bag that I actually want to use and a sample. I enjoy that it's not too big so it's easy to throw in my bag to take with me for the day and doesn't dry out if I'm not using it as often.

The auburn boy brow changed my life. I use it as mascara because there are no good mascaras for redheads. Genuinely, I don't know what I'd do if it was ever discontinued. Also love their FutureDew, it's my favorite highlighter.

I love the buying experience at Glossier (in-store and online). Every year I re-fill on boy brow and cream blush. The boy brow dries up pretty easily imo but gives your brows a waxed, brushed look in the first ~20 swatches which I love.

The packaging is REALLY cute and Glossier, imo, has influenced the mainstream aesthetic drastically over the last couple years. The products used to come in these pink bubble wrap-esque travel bags, which were really cute, but they stopped doing that. However, the packaging is still really cute and minimalist.

The products are usually pretty hit or miss for me. I understand the idea of "barely-there makeup", but some of the products weren't that great. For example, I think the balm dot com has an almost cult-like following, but I bought the cherry one and was recently gifted the swiss miss one and both of them felt like thicker, sticker, glorified vaseline. The color looked quite potent coming out of the tube but did not have much of an effect once it was on my lips. Additionally, the generation G lipstick didn't glide on my lips at all, but that rough/chalky feel gave that "barely there" effect since there was not much product transfer. However, I have to say, the skincare and serums are the BEST and made my skin feel amazing. I recommend the vitamin C superglow serum!
What can I say, Glossier's branding and packaging got me. I first bought their products online without ever having sampled anything. Their makeup line is really fun--I'm especially a fan of their lidstar eyeshadow, which gets applied with a wand (like a lipgloss) and comes in pretty, very wearable colors. Also, their Wowder (loose setting powder) is AMAZING--a makeup mainstay for me, I genuinely don't use any other. Also love their balm dot com, which comes in adorable flavors (birthday is the my favorite) and is pretty moisturizing. And, I mean, the products just look great on your dresser!

Glossier's skincare products are just okay. They don't really do anything for my skin, and I haven't returned to them after trying their The Skincare Edit set. I'm 100% loyal to the Wowder and dabble in their "fun" makeup now and then--love the lidstars and the pencils and the cloud paints. Also! The Wowder powder brushes! Unmatched.

I currently have the following products from Glossier and have been pleased with all of them. - Lash Slick mascara in black: a very subtle look, think "your eyelashes but more defined", I would wear it more often but it has sadly flaked every single time I have used it. - Boy Brow eyebrow pomade in brown: looks great and I have had no issues with it, this product is more for evening out color and brow hair direction than hold. - No. 1 eyeliner Pencil in Kiln red: I was looking everywhere for a red pencil eyeliner and this is the best one, it goes on smooth and dries down well enough that I have worn it during a workout and had no smudging. - Cloud paint in Storm: the color is amazing and the formula is the right amount of buildable. - Balm Dotcom in Rose, Birthday, and Cookie Butter: all three smell and taste amazing and I would love to try more, however, it seemed to be marketed as a tinted lip balm and the colors just did not show up or last more than a couple minutes. (This product is also not unique enough to warrant the price so I would only get one if you are curious instead of three). - Generation G lipstick in Fuzz: I was a bit disappointed in this formula as it ended up creasing a bit weirdly and the other colors available are not flattering on most people. - Ultralip lipstick in Ember: I liked it at first but I find that it becomes uneven after about an hour of wear. My recommendation for this product would be to only wear it if your lips are fully hydrated and to reapply more often. - Glossier You perfume: it smells amazing! My first purchase came with a free sample and the scent profile is modern, youthful, and honestly a little addicting. I have not bought a full bottle though because it is quite expensive. In addition, when I was in D.C. I was able to visit their Georgetown store and try almost all of their makeup products (available in the summer of 2022). - Boy Brow in clear: does dry down with a slight white cast so if you have darker brows I would opt out of this one. - Generation G lipstick: the colors are a hit or miss so I would recommend trying them on when they are available in Sephora stores next year. - No. 1 eyeliner pencil: I was able to try each of the shades and all of the formulas were opaque and dried down well. - Lip Gloss: the texture was nice and I loved the gold color - Pro Tip liquid eyeliner: great standard liquid eyeliner - Lidstar: did not blend out well and was disappointed with the texture - Skywash: did not blend out well, the formula was chalky, and the colors did not hold up well - Stretch concealer: amazing, very buildable - Monochromes eyeshadow: I wish the shadows were more pigmented and had more variations in color options - Perfecting skin tint: good for evening out color and redness but don't think of it as a foundation - Brow flick: very precise tip and seems natural - Solar paint bronzer: okay but when blended out it doesn't really add anything - Haloscope highlighter : nice, I wish there were more shades

I overall like quite a few of Glossier's products and would love to see what they come out with next! However, I do find that it is more of an aesthetic than a holy grail brand. An aesthetic that I have bought into, yes, but an aesthetic nonetheless. Not all of their products are perfect, but they have enough star products to have a place on my shelf.
Very beginner friendly, easy to use makeup! I love their blush and brow gel. My only qualm is that it can be easy to accidentally dispense more product than wanted with the blush tubes. The mascara is my all-time favorite; I can't use anything else at this point. The most natural-looking mascara I have tried, looks like you're not even wearing any, but still does the job a mascara should do. It keeps my lashes curled all day, even if I workout. The balm dot coms too omg! So nice, and great scents! (except mango, I hate the mango scent but several of my friends have tried it and liked it)
I have only ordered from them once and so far my experience is average at 3.5 stars. I feel that for the quality and size the prices are a bit high but overall the products work well. For my first order, I purchased boy brow, You solid perfume, and the balm dotcom.
