  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • Was super into this brand when it first came out in 2016(?) - lost the appeal over time but I think it’s meant to cater to the younger audiences so makes sense. Cute & fun!

  • Boy brow and lidstar have be Len staples in my makeup bag for several years now. Amazing products.

  • I am madly in love with the dry body oil. The scent is so light but so… comfy and delicate? And it’s the perfect texture and consistency to where when I put it on damp skin (please put your oils in damp skin yall) it’s spreads out easily and sinks nicely into my skin and leaves a lovely sheen and clearly moisturizer skin. I just wish it was in a pump bottle and bigger! That’s where my one point knocked off is from.

  • I haven't been the biggest fan of Glossier products except for the cloud paint blush! It lasts awhile because of how pigmented the colors are, which I love, and it also makes it worth the price. I get nervous with balms because I tend to breakout easily, but I haven't had an issue with this blush.

  • Truly one of my favorite beauty brands. I love that no-makeup look and Glossier makes it easy to simplify my routine while still feeling so put together. The Perfecting Skin Tint is one of the best foundations I've ever used. It is super lightweight and mostly sheer, but truly makes my skin look and feel airbrushed. I love the healthy glow it gives me, even during the driest of winter days. The Cloud Paint is the only item I have critiques for, and it is not about the product itself but the packaging. A significant portion of the product exploded when I first received it, due to the pressure built up during transit. It also takes some serious getting used to so you don't squeeze too much out. I truly hate the packaging and would give it 0 stars. It would be perfect if they could put it in a glass pot like the concealer!! Please please make this change.

  • TLDR: their stuff can be kitschy and/or overpriced, but for a bunch of products, they're just the ones I keep coming back to. I've tried a bunch of Glossier things, some I like more than others. I'm not someone who buys or wears a ton of makeup but I like things that are easy to apply and can be used on their own, without a full-face. Over the last five or six years I've tried a bunch of different products, so one-by-one: -> BALM DOT COM: If they kept the old formula, I would break my rule and stock up. I have the old formula in Cherry and will guard it with my life. They last forever (I've had this one for a year and a half) and are so hydrating, and the Cherry is such a great color. I like that it can be pigmented enough for a full lip look, but it's also not so pigmented that you can't apply it without mirror (if you're careful). When they re-released old formula I got Hot Chocolate, which I also love, but it's definitely not the exact same – it's more liquidy, a bit messier — but the color is my fav ever. -> BOY BROW: It's just the brow gel I keep coming back to as my favorite. I've tried so many other clear brow gels (I like them to look neat but not laminated) and just nothing is as good as this. But it runs out SO FAST that it makes the price a little ridiculous, and honestly I will probably keep searching for others before I repurchase this for that reason, but I'll be sad about it. -> CLOUD PAINT: By contrast, this stuff will literally last you for the rest of your life. I have a few colors and each one is unbelievably pigmented. You need just the tiniest amount to get great color on your cheeks, and can apply w/ finger, brush, or sponge. Again I really like things that are super easy to apply (like a blush stick) and sometimes this is one step too far, but whenever I use them I am very satisfied. -> STRETCH CONCEALER: Again, the one I keep coming back to. I have dry skin (thank you Accutane 10 years ago) and always have trouble finding concealer that doesn't flake or cake. I'm not the most expert wearer (only sometimes use a primer, e.g.) and usually don't add a base of foundation or anything else. I got this years ago and recently remembered that I had it and it's just so good. It feels super hydrating, it's really buildable, and the match (for me) is better than anything else I've found. It works best for me when I put a bit on the back of my hand and warm it up by spreading it around, and then dabbing it on my face. I can't imagine running out of it but would repurchase if I did. -> ULTRALIP: This, in Villa, is the only lipstick I have ever used up all the way. I never lost it, despite taking it with me literally everywhere, because it was too precious. I'm now digging out what's left because it's just that good. I've always had trouble finding a long-lasting lipstick that's not matte, and this is it. It's like 85% lipstick, 15% balm, sort of? It's super pigmented but really hydrating and doesn't look matte at all. I should go repurchase this right now. -> HALOSCOPE: It's good! Pretty standard stick highlighter. Don't know that I'd repurchase just because it doesn't really stand out from other stick highlighters that are cheaper. But I use the one I have happily. -> LIDSTAR: I keep buying new colors of this because it's just so fun and easy. I find the product can be a little hard to control, like it just sort of will get everywhere on your eyelid, but maybe you could use a different applicator than the doe-foot one it comes with? Should try. The colors look different on your skin than in the tube, so would try out in-person first.

  • Every New York "it" girl is wearing Glossier You. The scent is addicting and contagious. Unisex, sweet, musky perfection.

  • I love Glossier and fortunately we have one in Seattle so I've only ever purchased from them in-store. The balm dot coms are super cute little gifts and smell amazing. The packaging is adorable and the product is good. I am obsessed with Glossier eye shadows because of how light yet effective they are.

  • Perfectly holds the brows in place without any residue, swear by this

  • Just got the boy brow and cloud paint from glossier! Their products are great and work well, I really like how natural their makeup looks. Products are relatively small...but other than that they are great!

  • The Glossier You perfume smells wonderful, but the scent doesn't last long at all. While it's on the cheaper side for perfumes, it doesn't feel worth the price.

  • I have mixed feelings about Glossier. I love and will always use their Boy Brow, mascara, milk jelly cleanser eyeliner. However, I hate the new formula of their lip balms. It’s not as moisturizing as the old formula (with the flat tip) and I feel like I have to keep reapplying it.

  • Glossier's makeup game is a rollercoaster of vibes. The Balm Dotcom is straight-up bomb, giving major moisture love. Cloud Paint is cool but not totally rocking my world. Perfume? Nah, not my vibe at all. But, hold up, the mascara boy brow are legit fire – like, seriously good. Glossier's got the hits and a few mehs, but it's all about finding your groove.

  • So far everything I've purchased I'm super happy with! They have these paint shadow things that i LOVE! Makes my eye make up routine super quick and easy. I also LOVE their eyebrow flick thing, it looks like REAL hairs.

  • The funny thing about turning 40 after spending the past 15 years obsessed with skincare is how more subtle, natural makeup compliments me more than a full face. Glossier has got the formula DOWN for your-insert feature-but-better looks, My favorites are the cloud paint (I have 4!) for a healthy wash of color on cheeks, nose bridge, eyes, and even lips. It's undetectable texture just enhances what you have. The same can be said for the Lash Slick - a formula I had dreamed about for years before finding this. It darkens my lashes, lengthens and enhances them, while still looking like you're wearing nothing.

    Influencer for Glossier
  • Love glossier as an overall brand! My repeat purchases are the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Invisible Shield, and Futuredew. Good price points and consistent product wise.

    Works for Glossier
  • Had the whole product line when it first dropped, loved it ever since! Beautiful on the skin and achieve a go to look which I love! Skin care and fragrances are amazing!!!

  • I love there new deodorant! I've already been through two of them in the green packaging.

  • I have the boy brow and the liquid eyeshadow and I wear both religiously. Also nothing beats the balm dot com. Such a great brand.

  • I am honestly so disappointed in the downfall of Glossier after they expanded. You would think with so much more coming in, they would commit to staying true to their amazing product. They’ve changed the formulas to a lot and honestly so heartbroken they aren’t my staple anymore.
