East Fork is a certified B Corporation in Asheville, North Carolina, committed to bringing you the most beautiful, functional and long-lasting pottery out there while treating each other and our community with kindness and respect.

East Fork began as one potter, then two, then a few more, throwing clay and filling a wood-fired kiln on an old tobacco farm in Madison County, North Carolina. Before there were stores and a website, we had pottery sales on the farm. Much has changed in the last decade, but our early days laid the foundation for the company we are today. 

We're proud to be a Certified B Corporation, a distinction that speaks to our accomplishments in making business decisions that speak to our values, but more importantly, holds us accountable to the work that lies ahead in terms of working for the betterment of our employees, customers, suppliers, our communities and the environment.

East Fork is Climate Neutral Certified, the standard earned by companies that offset and reduce all of their greenhouse gas emissions.

From our factory and headquarters to our warehouse and retail stores in Asheville and Atlanta, the East Fork workforce is made up of 100+ hourly and salaried employees. When it comes to wages, everyone here makes at least $22 an hour and we have plans to raise this minimum wage again to what MIT has calculated as a family living wage here in Buncombe County, North Carolina.

We partner with local non-profit, grassroots organizations and individuals working toward racial equity, community reconciliation, and supporting the liberation of folks who’ve been systematically oppressed by white supremacy, patriarchy, and heteronormativity.

East Fork earns strong reviews for beautiful, durable stoneware that stands up to daily use—microwave and dishwasher included—while feeling weighty, balanced, and satisfying in hand; standout pieces like The Mug, Everyday Bowl, Coupe Bowl, and Big Mug draw consistent praise. Reviews also flag drawbacks: limited color drops that sell out quickly, noticeable flaws on some Seconds, mismatched glazes across batches, a plate that didn’t fit a standard dishwasher, and occasional breakage or shipping frustrations.

My first encounter with East Fork stoneware was at the Bold Monk Brewery in Atlanta in 2021 and I have dreamed of owning a set ever since! These dishes are so beautiful and well-made. Initially I was worried that they would be really high maintenance but I am so pleased that they can in the microwave and even dishwasher. East Fork stoneware has really elevated my day-to-day eating experience and I couldn't recommend them enough.
