East Fork is a certified B Corporation in Asheville, North Carolina, committed to bringing you the most beautiful, functional and long-lasting pottery out there while treating each other and our community with kindness and respect.

East Fork began as one potter, then two, then a few more, throwing clay and filling a wood-fired kiln on an old tobacco farm in Madison County, North Carolina. Before there were stores and a website, we had pottery sales on the farm. Much has changed in the last decade, but our early days laid the foundation for the company we are today. 

We're proud to be a Certified B Corporation, a distinction that speaks to our accomplishments in making business decisions that speak to our values, but more importantly, holds us accountable to the work that lies ahead in terms of working for the betterment of our employees, customers, suppliers, our communities and the environment.

East Fork is Climate Neutral Certified, the standard earned by companies that offset and reduce all of their greenhouse gas emissions.

From our factory and headquarters to our warehouse and retail stores in Asheville and Atlanta, the East Fork workforce is made up of 100+ hourly and salaried employees. When it comes to wages, everyone here makes at least $22 an hour and we have plans to raise this minimum wage again to what MIT has calculated as a family living wage here in Buncombe County, North Carolina.

We partner with local non-profit, grassroots organizations and individuals working toward racial equity, community reconciliation, and supporting the liberation of folks who’ve been systematically oppressed by white supremacy, patriarchy, and heteronormativity.

Love the smooth matte glazing and the rough edges, really nice texture and color contrast. They feel great while you're using them!

Amazing products, great quality, and design. I love their matte glaze and how thick the plates and bowls are, definitely my favorite ceramics!

On the other hand, I am very disappointed by the customer support. I ordered during Black Friday and at the same time, they changed their international shipping provider without giving any notice. I ended up paying the same fees (over $100) I paid for DHL Express on my first order for a slower and lower-quality service on my second one. I am now wondering if they are not making any profit on shipping or trying to recover some of the discounts they did for the Black Friday sale. Paying $104 for a 2-week delivery compared to 7 days with DHL Express for the same price is insane.

Overall, I am very disappointed with how they handled that, as they simply said they understood my disappointment. They said their new shipping provider (Passport) was clearer about costs and tracking for customers, which is not true. I won't order again because of how they handled that, too bad.

Great design and quality. Fast shipping, securely packed. Great company who is doing good things for employees, their community and lots of people in general.

We got dinner plates, side plates, soup bowls and the Coupe bowls. All are fantastic and solid, but not overly heavy. These look like they’ll be around for decades. Will be ordering the mugs soon.

Great bowls and plates, really nice range of colors and pretty durable. One plate broke in the microwave and we discovered the problem with the special edition colors in our attempt to replace it but managed to source a replacement from the very lively (but expensive) used market out there. Next time I’d definitely get a couple of spares, just in case!

They have always available colors and seasonal offerings. Sometimes living on the West Coast means you miss out on a special item unless you are somehow willing to wake at 6am before the limited edition item sells out. I really like this pottery, but I won't get up at 6am for almost anything. 

Purchased several smaller items and am very impressed with the heft, glaze, and durability. I haven't bought a full set so can't speak to using these as dishes for everything, but all the pieces we purchased look fresh and lovely and remain unbroken even after heavy use by a toddler.

there are very limited color runs and often out of stock very quickly--I don't mind waiting for a preorder as opposed to stressing that something will sell out

Everything I've purchased from East Fork has been stunningly made. They're simple, but durable and beautiful. Their team exceeds expectations from operations to marketing. I'll never stop buying their pieces. 

worth every penny!! I love their ceramic items so much, its high quality and made with excellent craftsmanship. Luckily, I am near one of the stores and get to buy my ceramics in person. 

I have the mug and bowl and honestly they are stunning, beautifully Made.

East Fork is the only dinnerwear/serving wear I use. My cabinets are so colorful! I love the variety of shapes and colors. 

They do limited edition drops, which literally sell out in under three minutes. I get that it can be frustrating to miss out on these drops, but their customer service is literally unparalleled in their kindness, clarity, and service. 

Also, their social media presence is 10/10.
