Dutch earns polarized reviews: its tele-vet care proves effective and convenient for quick diagnoses, anxiety, allergies, and same‑day video appointments, but recurring complaints cite slow or failed pharmacy fulfillment, delayed or missing prescriptions even with paid expedited shipping, and clunky tech. Reviews indicate the brand can work—many pets improve with meds like Apoquel and antibiotics—yet inconsistent medication delivery, limited state prescribing, and occasional inattentive consultations undermine trust.

Really terrible service. My dog has a bad infection that didn’t seem bad until late Friday so I scheduled an appointment since no vets had availability any time soon. No appointment until Saturday. Ok that’s fine. Have appointment get prescription. Then I can’t get prescription until Dutch can call Monday morning. Monday morning comes around they don’t call. Then I call my pharmacy after their lunch break. Still no call. Call Dutch, they said they tried to call during their lunch break. Ok I’ll get it by the end of the day, right? It’s now 1pm on Tuesday and I still don’t have the prescription filled. This is a horrendous service. Never again.
Great experience with Dutch so far --- had a very positive experience with Dr. Heather Aubrey after a coyote kerfuffle.
Okay, Dutch vets? Rockstars. Easy video chats, quick diagnoses, and zero awkward car rides with a puking pup? Sign me up. But the pharmacy... well, let's just say they wouldn't win a race against a snail. Shipping took forever, which felt like an eternity when my pup's ears were on fire. Prices were fair, though, not much different from my usual brick-and-mortar joint. So, Dutch gets 4 paws up for the top-notch tele-med, but maybe one paw tucked under the bed for the pokey pharmacy. Overall, a win for convenience, with a little room for improvement on the delivery speed.

I really loved the convenience and ease of Dutch when I was a member, the plan covered both of my dogs and made prescription refills and visits for minor issues a breeze. Unfortunately, after a few months I decided to cancel as other companies like Chewy and Petsmart didn't accept prescriptions from Dutch and shipping from Dutch's own pharmacy was slow.
I found this company relatively easy to deal with, I knew my dog really needed some sort of anxiety medication, but just didn't have it in my budget to have an expensive vet visit so I tried this, and found it affordable and easy! I gave a clear description of her problems and they prescribed a regimen.
Feedback
I will say, they wanted her to go on a few things and I didn't want to get her too dependent on any sort of mood stabilizer, I wasn't convinced it would be helpful, but they assign like a pill "regimen" so they keep sending the ones I don't use too.
My dog had a rash and the wait list to see my vet was going to be until the next week. I was able to have a video call same day with a vet and she was able to prescribe a treatment plan. Pretty cool!
The doctor never joined my call. I waited and waited and no one joined. I was helped by our traditional vet who knows my dogs and was easier to work with and more convenient.

Today I was very disappointed with this company. I scheduled two appointments for my kittens. For the second appointment, I never received a link for the video call. Then they offered to reschedule the visit for July 1st. Today is June 25th. Who’s going to wait a whole week just to speak with a vet, and then wait another 3 days for the medication? Don’t waste your time — go to a regular veterinarian instead.

My experience has been terrible. Today’s Friday. Last Saturday I did the Vet video, and she prescribed me an ear salve and an ear flush. The air salve was 65 bucks and the air flush was 30 bucks. When IMy experience has been terrible. Today’s Friday. Last Saturday I did the Vet video, and she prescribed me a ear salve and an ear flush. The air salve was 65 bucks and the air flush was 30 bucks. When I got the package all that was in there was the salve . Knowing that I had to do the flush first, I was in a quandary. I got in touch with Dutch and they kept emailing me pictures of the package at my door. I kept explaining to them. Yes I got the package, but the flush wasn’t in there. Then they said they had to talk to their shipping team. This is not a brick and Mortar store. This is someone doing business out of their house and I’m sure their shipping department is standing right next to them. Finally, someone told me that they would be sending me the flush right to my mailbox as quickly as possible that was Tuesday and now it’s Friday and still no flush. This is my first visit visit with Dutch and probably my last.

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY Had a telehealth visit with Dutch vet recently (I have been with Dutch for almost 2 years) and vet ordered apoquel for my dog. Shipping was fast. Price was 97.00 which was actually higher than everywhere else I checked however, when Doc ordered it he added refills. My pet only needs this when his allergies start acting up in the spring and some days he doesn't need it. I hadn't even used 10 pills in the bottle when Dutch charged me again 97.00 for a refill that I did not authorize, need or ask for. Checked my order and there was no automatic refills anywhere in order. Dutch refused to refund me and said they can't change anything once order is placed so I called my bank and explained. Once my bank looked in to it and contacted Dutch , I received a text from them telling me my subscription has been cancelled and I can no longer access my treatments, meds prescribed Any refills that any vet has prescribed. This is a punishment I received for calling my bank. This is pretty much against the law to not allow me to access my pets medical records even. A pet is just as important as a child. I would not join if I were you.

I have had a great experience with Dutch online vets and highly recommend their services. The vets are incredibly knowledgeable and more so than my local vets in many cases. One of their vets correctly diagnosed my German Shepherd with a spinal issue after he had been misdiagnosed with hip dysplasia for over a year. Their advice has also been extremely helpful for everyday concerns like flea and tick refills, ear infections, and parasite treatments. While I still maintain a relationship with a local vet for in-person needs, Dutch has saved me a significant amount of time and money and I completely trust their expertise. The only downside is the website itself. It feels outdated and is not the easiest to navigate. Additionally, the billing process can be confusing and lacks transparency. That said, their customer service is outstanding. Anytime I have reached out, no matter the time or day, I have received a response within minutes and any issues have been resolved quickly. Overall, I highly recommend Dutch for the quality of their veterinary care even though their website and billing systems could really use an upgrade.

Dutch is a great help. With the cost of a vet visit this is such a bargain. I live in a rural area and it is difficult to get to a vet. My daughter lives in the city and is too busy to get running to vets. Having access to a vet through Dutch and that they are able to prescribe medication is a tremendous help. The vets are all knowledgeable and kind and the customer service is amazing. I am not the type to give recommendations, but Dutch truly deserves one.

Dutch.com has been one of the worst online buying experiences I have ever had. I needed to get new prescriptions for my two dogs for Simparica TRIO (which they have been taking). The site is confusing in terms of the vet evaluation for the meds vs. the virtual vet memberships and I was unclear what I needed to do to get the meds approved so I ended up ordering a membership. (which ultimately I didn't need so I cancelled it same day). The site also advertised a 20% off coupon for the medication. (more about that later). After placing the order for one pet and the membership, I finally figured out how to request the medicine and eval for both pets. I contacted customer service to cancel the first order and refund me which they agreed to do. Getting ahold of customer service is very difficult and they are slow to respond. After the vet approved the two prescriptions I tried to check out and add the coupon but it said it was already used. Again, hours of trying to get customer service to help with fixing this and finally they said to just place the order and they would manually refund the 20%. I placed the order and got a confirmation on the site (from Shopify). But, I never got a confirmation email and I cannot see a pending order in my dashboard. I do however see a charge for $908 at my bank. In the meantime, the authorization for my first order for $226.15 dropped off but they charged $55.95 with no explanation and contrary to what customer service agreed to do. All of this was hours of chat and email and trying to call the number they have listed but do not answer. Horrible customer experience. So today, I have started reaching out to them again to get the rest of my refund, verify they do show a pending order for me and get the 20% refund on that order that they promised. The concept of this service is great... The actual execution because of a buggy website and poor customer service is horrendous.

When you get to check out after the vet appointment it gives you an estimated arrival date for the meds you’re ordering. It’s totally predatory and you will be waiting 3-5 days before in anything even ships. Pet needs an rx, sure she them wait 6-7 days for the medicine. Misleading and the excuses are that it was only an estimate…..

Dutch was a lifesaver for us. We travel for work and work long hours so getting to the vet is hard. Dutch got us appointment same with no problems. The vet we spoke with was very nice. Are fur baby had a bad ear infection and needed antibiotics. I ordered the medicine that day and it shipped the next day. I would recommend Dutch to all my traveling friends.

Dutch has been a lifesaver for us. The vets are great and it has saved us so much time and money. We have three dogs and two cats and it’s very hard to get them all to the vet for every little thing. Now we have Dutch and can talk to a vet anytime from the convenience of our home.

Worst customer service, had an appointment for veterans at 4:20 could not get on zoom tried calling customer service no one would answer, tried emailing them said they would respond back in 4 hours 10 hours later no response, tried texting in Dutch said 15 minutes they would respond back 90 minutes later they responded back said it was to late to have the appointment. No kidding them charge me 15 dollars for a missed appointment. After paying 25 for years and not really using the service then when I did all these issues. Not worth paying for membership and customer service is Worst in industry
