Breville earns strong reviews and, by most accounts, works exceptionally well: its espresso machines deliver café‑quality shots with powerful steam wands, integrated grinders, and durable, handsome builds. Reviews also flag real drawbacks—there’s a learning curve to dialing in grind and seasonal adjustments, bulky counter footprint, occasional part wear or breakage, and one report of an early failure—making it excellent for committed users but less plug‑and‑play for beginners.

  • I am so happy with this water heater! It heats up super fast, is easy to use, and the quality feels amazing. I love how sleek it looks on my counter and that it keeps water at the perfect temperature. I use it daily for tea and coffee and it has been so reliable. Definitely one of my favorite kitchen appliances!

  • Breville makes my favorite espresso machine—hands down. It’s the perfect mix of home-friendly and pro-level, giving you café-quality shots without needing a barista degree to operate it. The build feels solid, the milk frother is powerful, and once you dial it in, the consistency is unreal. It kind of ruins coffee shops for you in the best way. What I love most is that it makes the whole ritual easy and enjoyable. It’s reliable, it looks great on the counter, and it delivers every single morning. If you want a machine that gives you real espresso without the headache—or the massive price tag—Breville is the one.

  • This is my review for barista max. Its lovely product make superb coffee. I have it more than 3 years. The price is good as well. Can't really ask for more in this price bracket however... seal gone in first year but been replaced swiftly on my guarantee and the tray getting scratch marks as well quite quick.

  • The Breville espresso machine is great especially since I started working from home. It produces cafe grade coffee and it's quite simple to operate and easy to clean. I don't think I'm using it to its full potential (I drink espressos & americanos etc.) so I rarely use the frother. It does take up a lot of counter space so perhaps I should've opted for the compact version.

  • I’ve had a Breville Barista Express for nearly a year now. After using a basic Nespresso machine for years, the bar was low, and I was expecting low-to-mid quality espresso from this. I was surprised almost immediately. The built-in grinder is even better at espresso grind than my $200 grinder I use for pourovers, and the standard portafilter is sufficient for a solid shot. I get nice crema 90% of the time, and can pull shots back to back without worrying at all. I wasn’t an espresso guy before this, but it now has a permanent home on my coffee bar.

  • Really, great and high quality espresso machine. Our friend gave us his after he got a new one. Unfortunately, it didn't last much longer as it broke. But I'd love to buy one of the newer models. The brand itself is known for its quality.

  • I was gifted the espresso machine for Christmas a few years ago and this thing is a dream. I will say it takes time to get the grind right and understand it (I have 8 years of coffee experience and still struggled) but once you get it…. Another thing to remind people is that the machine changes based on temperature so you should be changing the grind for your shots as the seasons change

  • Our espresso machine is by far my favorite appliance in the house. It felt a little intimidating at first, but after a couple of YouTube videos we got the hang of it, and now we’re officially espresso people. The quality is great, the coffee tastes amazing, and it’s been a huge upgrade from both drip and pod machines. It’s also saving us money in the long run. Cuisinart really delivered with this one. In retrospect, we didn't need the full size machine with froth arm because we use so infrequently, but it's impossible to know that until you are using it for a while.

  • This machine makes me feel like a barista in my own kitchen without the $5 price tag. It’s sleek, smart, and seriously quick. The touchscreen lets you customize your perfect cup every time. Coffee snobs, prepare to be spoiled. The integrated burr grinder ensures fresh grounds for each brew, delivering a rich and flavorful espresso. Whether you're a seasoned coffee enthusiast or just starting your espresso journey, this machine elevates your at-home coffee experience.

  • We have the Breville toaster oven and are absolutely obsessed with it. It is so much easier to use than a regular oven. It can do just about anything, it can air fry, bake, reheat, dehydrate, slow cook, broil, toast, and roast. Game changer.

  • I love my Breville espresso machine and I use it DAILY to make myself espresso drinks and lattes. I have a simple espresso machine, and have been using it for the past 5 years. It's so easy to use and makes delicious espresso. It is so easy to clean and upkeep. It is well worth the money!

  • I have a Breville Barista Touch Espresso Machine, best investment. Save me lots of money and trips to Starbucks. You can make regular coffee, expresso, latte with one touch. Love that you have everything in one coffee machine.

  • We have had this for a while but we love it! Looking to upgrade soon. We use it daily for the last 8.5 years

  • I have a combination toaster from them that has lasted for years! It functions really well, easy to clean, and classic. I do think it takes up a considerable amount of counter-space in my small apartment but it is worth it!

  • My Breville espresso machine is the GOAT. I bit the bullet and invested in this beauty after spending way too much $$ at a coffee shop. It's built like a tank - I've had mine for three years with zero issues. Worth the investment.

  • We have had the Barista Express machine for about five years now and it continues to work well. For the price, I’ve been extremely impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. It does require upkeep and we have had it serviced one time and only recently had to do a deep clean of the grinder component. Any issues have been easily resolved with a quick chat with Breville’s Customer Service Department or a quick YouTube tutorial. We’ve had great experiences ordering parts and supplies from Breville’s website as well. This is a brand I will continue to use for our kitchen appliances!

  • Breville appliances are top-notch. My Barista Express espresso machine delivers café-quality drinks every morning. It’s easy to use, built to last, and worth every penny for coffee lovers. I couldn't do life without it!

  • So far I love all of my breville products (toaster oven, immersion blender, espresso machine). All work and continue to work for several years - in the case of the immersion blender, we are hitting year 8! When I've had issues with parts (a basket on my espresso machine was clogged and a piece broker with an attachment for my immersion blender), I've had an easy time calling support or buying what I need.

  • I used to have a Breville barista pro and that was my introduction to espresso and I was blown away by how good they are. You can get cafe-quality shots if you learn about how extraction works and put in a little time to learn the science. I'm a huge fan of the high clearance because most coffee scales are kind of thick. the grinder does timed dosing and the steam wand is honestly out of this world. I upgraded to a more "professional" machine, and to be honest, I prefer the steam wand on the Barista Pro. I have pulled 2+ shots a day for the last 2 years (rip teeth) and gifted my machine to a friend and he has been using it for a year after my two years. It has a lot of life in it. Buy with confidence if you want to start your espresso journey!

  • I was gifted a Breville Barista Pro for my birthday (after throwing *not so subtle* hints at my bf) and I absolutely love it! I’m not going to lie, there is a bit of a learning curve right out of the box but after a few weeks of tiktok tutorials and trial and error I eventually got a hang of it. Pro tip: Make sure to get some cheap coffee grounds to practice on!
