Bee's Wrap Reviews

3.8

Bee’s Wrap earns mixed-to-positive reviews: it reduces plastic use and works well for sandwiches, cheese, bread, and produce, yet cleaning proves finicky and the wax adhesion can degrade quickly. Reviews praise its easy-to-use sizes, attractive patterns, pleasant beeswax scent, and reusability, while noting issues with bowl sealing, scent and taste transfer, residue, lack of transparency, and difficulty maintaining hygiene without hot water or strong soap.

  • This is my favorite wrap for homemade or fresh bread. It preserves the moisture just enough to keep the bread soft, without making the crust soggy (like happens if you put it in a bag). Have used it for over a year now, and it still looks brand new. Easy to clean. No issues with the wax wearing out or peeling off. Love it!

  • As much as I wanted to give these 5 stars for their eco-friendliness, they cleaning process is quite difficult and even with proper care the wax coating began to thin/pill in less than 6 months. So overall I find these incredibly useful!! They’re great for sandwiches, keeping fruit fresh in the fridge, and really just wrapping up any & all items! They cling honestly better than cling wrap & really do hold! I also absolutely love how environmentally friendly these are - they’ve replaced all plastic wrap in the house! The biggest pain point (from someone who loves to clean but also hates wasting too much time on dishes) is the cleaning! It’s very difficult to get cold enough water from the tap that is required for maintaining the water supply wax coating properly (instructions say cold water to clean with soap so wax doesn’t melt). On top of that they indicate that scrubbing should be kind of gentle but I’ve found that the wraps are way more sensitive and require MINIMAL scrubbing with incredibly light pressure and honestly really just using your hand and not a sponge (too abrasive). This, in turn, makes it hard to then get the cling wrap fully clean without accidentally wearing down the wax coating - which ends up pilling and leaving your hands and items/food sticky. So truly after being so careful with cold water and minimal abrasion, I found almost all of my wraps to have spots with sticky, thinning wax. I do still use them with those coating issues, but it is just honestly frustrating and makes using them feel like a chore because cleaning is so tedious and still results in wax pilling up and sticky hands. On the plus side, I’ve read that these are very easy to restore with an iron and wax paper - but I can’t get confirm as I haven’t gotten wax paper to restore them. I am planning to fix them, but selfishly I do find it frustrating that I have to restore them after only 6 months of use. I can update once I’ve attempted to restore them with results! TLDR - Despite working incredibly well, they require more work to clean than indicated and even then, they aren’t as durable as they advertise. They work incredibly well but, these wraps require a lot of care and time. Overall I think this eco-friendly choice is worth the care & time required, but I wish I had aware before buying. I also wish I would have bought more than 3 wraps so I could rotate wraps in & out of use so they last longer!

  • cool concept, but truthfully the wraps are insanely sticky and would sometimes make my sandwich taste weird. i used to have bread with flour sprinkled on it sometimes, and it would always stick to the wrapper so bad it would be difficult to wash off

  • I really like the concept of this product. I think it's great to have an alternative to plastic wrap, and I like that this brand offers lots of different patterns. My only issue is that it's a bit hard to use, and it doesn't stick to itself as well as plastic wrap does.
