Reviews mention

  • Soothing formulations for sensitive skin
  • Ultra-fine refreshing facial mist
  • Rich, non-greasy barrier creams
  • Consistent post-procedure skin recovery
  • Occasionally drying facial cleanser
  • Strongly scented redness corrector
  • Under-hydrating b3 serum
  • Inconsistent scar gel efficacy

Avene earns strong reviews as a gentle, effective solution for sensitive and irritated skin, with Thermal Spring Water mists and Cicalfate creams consistently calming redness, hydrating deeply, and aiding post-procedure recovery. Weak spots emerge around select formulas—drying cleansers in winter, a strongly scented Antirougeurs redness corrector that underperforms, and mixed results for scar treatments—so product choice matters.

  • Avène Thermal Spring Water is a midday must. One spritz and my skin feels instantly calmed and refreshed. Fragrance free, no residue, and gentle enough for sensitive skin. Simple, effective, and worth keeping at your desk.

  • This brand never fails me! A great quality product at a very resonable price point. My holy grail is the pimple cream. I bought it last time i was in france as a i had a zit emergency and it works wonders!!!!

  • After using this spray for a month I will admit that it lives up to the hype!! It seems super silly since it’s just water in a can but this is very convenient for refreshing your skin when it’s hot outside or when you need to calm down your skin from irritation or a flare up. It also works super well as skin prep before doing your makeup because it helps my skin feel very moisturized. I haven’t noticed any issues using it, and I really like how fine the mist is. I think this is one of the finest mists I’ve ever used, you can barely feel it when you apply! Now, will I be repurchasing? I think it’s a hard yes BUT im hoping to find it on sale soon and currently am on the hunt for a cheaper alternative

  • I really enjoy the thermal spring water face mist spray, as it feels super refreshing when I spray it onto my face. It also is great to use when I want to lock in my toner and moisturizers. It is more on the expensive side, but I believe that it’s worth the price!

  • This is a great drugstore available brand!! I enjoy the Eau Thermal spray a lot. I keep a large bottle at home and a small one in my purse for a daily refresher! Mellow scent and cooling on a hot day!

  • I got this combo when my skin was oilier, and it helped reset and rebalance everything. The cleanser is thorough but can be drying on combo skin now. The Cicalfate spray is amazing for calming redness and repairing damage—especially post-reaction.

  • This cream is perfect for dry and sensitive skin—it delivers deep hydration without irritation. The texture is rich but not greasy, and it leaves my skin feeling calm, soft, and nourished all day. A gentle classic that never disappoints 💧🕊️🤍

  • This cream saved my skin. I'm dermatitis-prone, very similar to eczema, and I tend to get very dry, irritated, rashy patches on my face durign seasonal changes. When I started using this cream, I was in the middle of a flare, and it was immediately soothed. I've gotten so many people to use it!

  • At first I thought this was drying out my skin, but found out it's mainly during winter. My skin tends to change depending on the season and so I must change the products too. During oily periods like summer, it's quite effective and leaves my skin dry and ready for the serums and sunscreen. During winter it isn't my best option, but the foam version definetely cleans the pores better

  • My friend got me their Cicalfate Repair Barrier Hand Cream, and I love it! I am a chronic hand washer; my hands dry out so quickly, which is why I keep it by the kitchen sink. I never have a dry hand day with this around!

  • Avene is high quality french pharmacy. Where I live, you can buy this in the pharmacy and it's considered a nice brand for being so commercially available. The products are a bit pricy but do work. Their facial mist really helps help me hydrated and the soins emulsion is great at shrinking zits

  • I love love love Avene!! Especially as I used to live in Europe, it used to be super affordable. Regardless, these products are such high quality and work so so well on my sensitive skin. My favorite is scene’s hydrating serum and its sunscreens

  • My husband used Avene Scar Gel for his operation scar, but unfortunately, we didn’t see any significant changes after two months of use. In contrast, I’ve had a much better experience with Avene’s Restorative Protective Cream. I used it for my rhinoplasty scar, and it completely disappeared. Based on our experience, the Restorative Protective Cream seems to be much more effective than the gel

  • I used thair Repairing protective cream and Thermal Spring Water and I'm a big fan of both of these products. Cream has nice thick consistency and deeply moistruizes, Thermal water revitalizes and brightens my face in the morning, it would be perfect for sunburn during the summer time as well. Pricey but worth it.

  • A go-to for irritated or compromised skin. Thick, rich texture that creates a soothing barrier without feeling greasy. I use it for post-treatment care, dry patches, or when my skin barrier feels stressed. Heals quickly and never causes breakouts. A staple in my skincare kit.

  • I really love the brand. Such a good brand for our skin. The quality of the product is amazing and I had a great customer experience. Would definitely recommend it and I would buy it again for sure.

  • One of my favorite brand, no smell, no chemicals, takes care of the Skin and they even have a special cicalfate cream when you just have been tatooed

  • I absolutely love everything I’ve tried from Avene! Their products are gentle, effective, and perfect for sensitive skin. Whether it's their moisturizers or sunscreens, each one leaves my skin feeling nourished and calm. I’ve seen great improvements in my skin's texture and overall health since using their products. Avene truly delivers quality skincare every time. Can’t recommend them enough!

  • I would die without Avene. Okay...maybe an overstatement, but I am religious about skincare, and let's just say Avene is my religion. It doesn't break the bank, isn't full of unpronounceable ingredients and does not break me out.

  • I love Avene! The Cicalfate cream is the best! Very hydrating!
