I like that they are clean! But, the adhesive on the pads are not as strong as I would like. I move a lot , duh , I’m a person. But I’ve found that they don’t stay in place especially at night. I purchased them from target and they were cheaper than honey pot which is why I got them. But, I also know the adhesive is natural but maybe too natural ??

WORST PADS EVER! I tried a variety of pads and they are not nearly as absorbent as advertised- blood just sits on top really. Also, they’re hardly sticky so constantly moving around in my panties. All of this, on top of the fact that I can’t just pick them up at the store… it’s a no from me!

I've tried August for a couple months now and can confidently say I absolutely love this brand. The branding is beautiful and the packaging feels like a fun treat for a not so fun time of the month. I love having these in my bag. I've used brands like Cora in the past and one of my biggest frustrations was that they kept changing their packaging, specifically the material of the wrapper the tampon comes in. I know it's a small thing (and maybe it is more sustainable, idk) but I much prefer the plastic-y feeling wrapper to a paper wrapper. The experience is better, and it's much more quiet to open in public restrooms. I did a lot of research on August's mission, too and I really appreciate what they're doing. Above all, their products do actually work excellently. I will continue to repurchase.

I like the story behind the brand: educate people about a period. Also biodegrade pads and tampons are great idea. I ordered night and days pads and, unfortunately, I did not like them because they leak. A blood does not reach the elongated part of pad; blood accumulates on sides and leaks :( I usually use well known A brand because the liquid spreads around all the pad surface evenly.

August had a great unboxing and I like how all of the product boxes fit neatly inside so there was no waste. The packaging is sleek and cool and isn't anything like traditional period brands. Also really resonate with the mission.

My dream would be that the tampon and pad packaging is biodegradable or recyclable too but I'm not sure of the limitations there.

I really love the mission behind this brand! Their focus on personalized products and sustainably sourced materials is wonderful. I don't think I tried the right product for me but I definitely want to try more from August!
Experience
I have repurchased from August several times. I love their day and night pads, they are so cottony and soft. I appreciate that the liner wrapping is dissolvable. The packaging is beautiful. For me, I find the tampons harder to insert than Tampax or Playtex. The mechanism to release the tampon from the insert is not as smooth/effective and it seems to sit lower than generic brands. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for shipping as I understand they are trying to be more sustainable with freight. However, you should probably order their products before you need it!

I've used their tampons - love the packaging, so cute and the product itself is comfortable and easy to use. No complaints!

Love the packaging and sustainability efforts. A tampon is a tampon at the end of the day :)

I love their branding and mission. I like the community-building aspect of the brand and makes the period no longer a dreading experience for me. And I actually love their products too. The pads absorb really well although they are thinner than other brands' products.

I feel like the packaging takes too much space and I think it'd be actually better to store them in a biodegradable bag instead of the box.
