Ask my people and they will say I am obsessed with my Whoop. I have truly started to base my workouts on my recovery levels and am competitive with myself when it comes to my sleep score and consistency. My data has helped me establish a healthier workout routine centered on what is best for my body and not just closing an arbitrary ring. I have multiple colored bands and the swim protectors! 

Works great for specific things, but their membership payment setup isn't worth the cost. With all the smartwatches out there now, they can do similar readings without monthly fees or at least lower costs. Whoop is awesome in theory and used to be unique, but now it's not worth the long term costs. The bands also start to get too loose over time and are silly expensive to replace. If you're a pro athlete or training for an Ironman, maybe this is right for you. But again, most watches are equally good these days.

Game changer. Great device + an even greater app loaded with information about your daily strain, recovery, and sleep performance. 

Excellent device especially for pregnancy or immunocompromised. I found this especially helpful while I was pregnant to check in with my recovery and exertion, and bought one for a family member who has some heart issues and has found it tremendous in self-management while also acting under a dr's care. While I think this is excellent for an active athlete, I do not fall in that category and still loved my 2 years with it. 

I tried the one month free trial, tried to end the free trial after 3 weeks, knowing they would want me to subscribe after. The app is designed in such a way that heavily veers you away from cancelling and pushes this on to a further date. They then automatically enrolled me not on a monthly subscription but annual, and billed be circa £230 up front and are now refusing to refund or allow me to cancel something that I did not want and only signed up for a free trial for.

Feels almost scam-like at this point. Very frustrated. I was recomending friends to the product prior to this but now I am left with a very bad taste in my mouth after this service. Customer service are completely not negotiating on the point either.

Literally a scam company. They do everything they can with confusing wording and horrible tricks to effectively steal your money by making you pay for things you don't want. In my case, I was offered a one month [contract] for £30 vs annual for £22 a month. I went for monthly as I just wanted to try it a bit longer after the free trial. When I went to return it they demanded £270 up front for the remainder of my '1 year contract' that I had literally no idea I agreed to. They disguise it completely, maybe somewhere in their T&Cs but nowhere obvious. The thing is that they know full well that noone wants to pay almost 50% more for monthly payment terms. They know exactly what they are doing which is why I consider them fraudulent and would never buy from them. You have to choose who you give your business to and I don't give my business to scammers.

I love my whoops! As a High Performance Athlete it really helps me stay on track with recovery, sleep, goals & habits! Along with my training with strain levels & calorie burn. Total worth it 

I really believe I will be a Whoop customer for life. The sleep data alone has had a serious impact on my life.

While the band itself is really well made and good quality, and I am really happy using it, sometimes it makes mistakes and I'm not sure if that's to do with the band or the app. Sometimes it will show my heart rate as being 20bpm for example which is in the red zone for being unusual – but then when I tap on it it will say it's actually 120bpm which is fine because I'm doing exercise. Which is confusing.

It also did take a long time to ship – about 4 months but I believe that was due to high demand so I didn't mind that much.

The App is also a bit confusing – I don't particularly like using it as there are a lot of sections and it can be hard to remember which bits of data are in which sections or how to browse to find what you need – but the design of it in general is nice.

I'm super interested in data behind myself and my body but never really found existing wearables that interesting – even Apple Watch (I have a Series 3) which I like how it looks but I found it annoying that I need to tell it when I'm working out

I ordered Whoop after looking at it a few times over a couple of months and their model of the band being free (or cheap?) but then you pay a subscription to use the app etc was interesting but £30/month is overly expensive I think.

I also looked at the Oura ring which a couple of friends have – and love – but I don't like wearing rings so that was out of the question – I really liked how Whoop's 4.0 band was minimal, no screen and very flat to my wrist – and the app looked great too.

One thing I really like about it is the charging is done through a little black "puck" thing which slides on top of the band. I charge the puck daily via USB-C and then when the band itself gets low on charge (lasts 3-4 days on a full charge) I just slide the puck on top of it and continue my day until it's charged so you really never have to take it off.

As far as I know it's also waterproof but I don't like the feel of the fabric band being wet so I just take it off when I shower.

The app is good and collects a tonne of data including calories burned, heart rate variability, blood oxygen level, respiratory rate and more and being able to capture those without any manual input is really nice. It also lets you know if any of the things I mentioned get outside your "normal" zone which can be an indicator of injury or illness and being able to get a heads up if you might be getting sick ahead of time is really interesting and one of the main reasons i got it.

You can also generate a PDF of your insights which is interesting and I haven't seen other solutions offer that (though I could be wrong)

The product is great, the daily information you get from it is awesome, I personally loved the recovery/sleep data, and comparing it to how I currently feel. 

I love whoop, great if you have friends using it as well because you can create a team.. and do little competitions. 

The data is truly what sets WHOOP apart, so if you aren't interested in that or have difficulty being obsessive with training, this may not be for you.

I have been a loyal WHOOP user for almost two years. The product insights are exceptional, and customer service is fast. 

I genuinely love my whoop. Have been wearing it for over two years. I am not a huge athlete but love it mostly for the sleep tracking and to make sure I'm setting goals for workout and recovery. The tech is very cool, and I like that I can charge it on the go and not have to take it off. 

Only downside is not having a watch face.

Innovation must continue to beat the Apple Watches of the world.  By far a superior product vs. Fitbit/Garmin.  

Absolutely the best Health fitness product available with focus on strain, recovery and sleep.   Waterproof and basically never leaves your wrist (battery recharges while on clasp).    All people should know their body data to be focused on how you recover.  User since 2017 and firm believer in how the Whoop captures data, calculates your recovery overnight and measures inputs through a daily diary for better outcomes.  

I have had my whoop for a year and live by it.  It doesn't give you credit for things like steps or general movement - only when you workout hard.  I love using this to track sleep, find out what habits help me perform better and to push me to workout harder.

I would not buy another fancy wearable again having tried many other wearables during past 2 years. Overall Apple Watch is the best!

Expensive product and not comparable to Apple Watch or oura. 

Their sensor does not work well. It relies on HRV data but the data collection is not accurate and you cannot fix it manually. Upsides are the black wrist band looks fashionable and everyone's hyped about this in the past year so you're part of the cool wearable club eg people with apple watches, whoop or Garmin 

I was a bit skeptical when signing up for Whoop, but now I'm absolutely in love with it! I can see the correlation between my sleep data and how it affects my performance in other activities. It's definitely worth giving it a try, as it can be helpful for some people but may not be suitable for everyone. What I really enjoy is the versatility of wearing it not just on my wrist, but also on my waist and arms. It's pretty cool, albeit a bit pricey, but totally worth it!

So accurate for fitness and sleep tracking. I’ve used an Apple Watch before this and since I got the whoop I’ve been using it for three years. If you’re into fitness I recommend it. Try a free month if you’re not sure!

The Whoop data is the best I have experienced so far. But, as many have called out, the price is steep. $30/month feels especially pricey as the Apple Watch has added a lot of the data (like HRV) that used to be Whoop's key differentiators. I see they've added new data around things like strain which I would love to try out, but at the price I'm not rushing to dive back in.

Still love the product and hope they'll continue to evolve and add value, but feels like they'll be stronger if they get acquired and integrated into a larger health and fitness connected ecosystem.

I love my WHOOP. I wear it every day and night to track my sleep and it really influences how I think about my health. My daily journal allows me to track what influences my recovery. When I was sick with C*vid, it tracked my heart rate so I was able to understand when I needed to take care of myself a little bit more. Overall love it and will be buying a new band soon!
