Violette_FR earns strong reviews for delivering elegant, high-performance color and the cult-favorite Boum-Boum Milk that simplifies routines and leaves skin hydrated; the brand is good at pigment, texture, and packaging. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some lip formulas bleed or dry lips, components like caps or bullets can fail, shades feel limited, and certain textures fade or require touch-ups—useful caveats for deciding what to buy.

  • I can't say more positive things about this brand. I love everything I've ever tried (mostly lip products and the boum boum milk). So well made, beautiful packaging, and unlike any others. The lipstick is so buildable and matte, the stain is glossy but then fades so nicely, and the Plume is so rich and long lasting. Adore. Kind of pricey but worth it for the quality.

  • I can only speak to the Bisou Balm as i have not tried anything else from the brand, but this product is probably the most innovative colour cosmetic lip product i have ever tried. I am not someone who likes lots of colour on my lips, so this product is perfect for me. It's so hard to describe because the formula is unlike anything i had ever tried but it adds colour that looks unbelievably natural and feels like nothing. I have in two shades and will be adding more. Highly recommend!!!

  • This product was sent to me as part of an educational promotion in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was really curious to try the Plume Lip Matte Whip because its texture sounded so different from the liquid lipsticks I usually wear. Colors: I received Mon Chéri, a warm brown-red. The warm undertones of Mon Cheri make it a perfect earthy color palette. I will wear it the most during the autumn season. En Feu is a fiery red that actually looked a little more orange when I swatched it on my hand. I still like it, but I know I’ll reach for that shade more in the summertime when I go for brighter colors. Feeling on my lips: The Plume lip shade really lives up to its name. I learned that “plume” in French means feather. It truly feels just like that on my lips, light and airy. The texture has this whipped, mousse-like feel that almost melts as soon as it touches my lips. It sits comfortably without feeling thick or cakey, so I can wear it for hours without it weighing my lips down. I love how it enhances my lips while still feeling barely there, making it perfect for a soft, everyday look. Scent:  The smell also stood out to me. It reminds me of whipped marshmallow or vanilla cake, but not in an overly sweet way, which makes putting it on even nicer. Applicator: For application, the wand made it really easy to put on. I tried using my fingers to get that blurred effect, but it ended up staining my fingertips. I’ve found it’s better just to massage my lips together and stick to the applicator. It makes less of a mess and saves me from having to scrub the stain off my hands right after. Pigment: The color payoff is strong. I found that I only need to apply two small dots or swipes. One on my top lip and one on my bottom. This gives an even, effortless look. It’s definitely not on the sheer liquid stain side.I wanted to test the pigment of the lip stains, so I rubbed a piece of paper towel on my hand where I had applied them. Even after rubbing hard, I noticed that some stain remained for both colors. Interestingly, the brighter shade, En Feu, left more pigment on my skin than Mon Chéri. When I first applied them, Mon Chéri’s formula felt thicker, while En Feu was a bit thinner, but in terms of pigment on my hand, En Feu held up better. Formulation: I’ve noticed that because it’s a whip formula, it moves a little when I’m drinking water or eating. It’s not like those ultra-locked matte liquids. It still wears pretty well throughout the day. After a meal, though, I usually need to touch up the inner part of my lips. Style: The packaging is chic and very Violette, and I like that the shade range feels modern and creative instead of just the basics. For me, it’s less about being an all-day, transfer-proof lip and more about having a flattering, soft matte that feels good to wear.

  • The Violette_FR Boum-Boum Milk is a luxurious and effective addition to any skincare routine. Its multi-functional nature and high-quality ingredients make it a standout product for those seeking simplicity without compromising on performance. While the price point may be a consideration for some, the results justify the investment.

  • Solid brand! The blushes are really pretty and look good but they can fade sometimes. The bisou balm looks great when my lips are smooth, but the product will settle into any lines or areas of chapping.

  • Im still trying to understand this brand. but I have the lip product and do love it. It's more of a lipstain but it works so well. its a new product in my everyday bag. The shade range is great and my lips are so soft wih this

  • Formulas are really nice but my matte lipstick came straight out of the component after a few weeks. Disappointed for the price of it though maybe that’s the price you pay for the type of formula it is.

  • The tint is soft but noticeable, and the texture is super smooth and hydrating. It’s easy to apply without a mirror and wears down evenly. I love how low-maintenance and pretty it feels and how it adds the perfect amount of color.

  • I’m someone who loves a subtle, polished look—something that feels elevated without trying too hard. Living in a dry climate, I’m always on the hunt for beauty products that are both functional and flattering. The BISOU JELLY Sheer Shine Hydrating Lipstick in Pomme d’Amour from violette_fr has quickly become a favorite. I actually love how this looks on my lips—the soft ombré effect is beautiful and actually works. It gives a juicy shine that looks super natural but still pops, making it perfect for spring and summer. It's a very kbeauty-like vibe. In my 30s, I appreciate how wearable this is for everyday or office looks, but it also builds beautifully for a more pronounced going-out vibe. The shade complements my cool-toned skin (which is rare for reds), and the balm-like texture feels perfectly moisturizing—no cracking, even in dry air. It wore longer than I expected (multiple hours!)—though I did notice a little bleeding on my lower lip after a while. But overall? This is such a lovely balance of vibrant and effortless. Definitely my new go-to lipstick. This product was provided for promotional purposes in exchange for my honest review

  • Obsessed. I was on a call for work one day and the person I was speaking with had a beautiful lip color. I complimented it and she mentioned who it was and that she'd gotten it at Sephora. I've been watching the founder on socials. I literally went to Sephora right after work to scoop up the product - Bisou Balm. It's gorgeous and builds. You can do one coat for a tiny blush or a few coats for a nice coat of color. I am so happy about this product.

  • The lipstick I got from them is my favorite lipstick ever!!!! The shade is gorgeous and its quality and feel are super great. The packaging is also super aesthetic - I'm in love. Shade I got is "BÊTISE" - my skin is pale and red-ish. Fits so well. Only con is that sometimes the cap comes off which can be quite annoying.

  • Love the hell out of this — my favorite reds among many. The colour is nice and blue. The texture is gorgeous and matte. The stay is long lasting. I’m on my third tube.

  • Have been watching her YouTube videos forever and am just so happy she's launched product now! They are so french-girl cool and I love the lipsticks.

  • Absolutely love the Boum Boum milk - I'm always a little skeptical of makeup brands that venture into skincare but you can tell Violette is dedicated to making high-quality, effective skincare. The Boum Boum milk is the perfect texture - I love using it in the summer months because its light, serum-y, but still hydrating. Worth the money! I have a couple of their twinking eye-shadow yuex paints - very fun for a unique look but I don't always finding myself reaching for it and not sure they are worth $30+ price tag. Overall, would love to try more of their products across makeup and skincare!

  • V-fr’s Boum-boum Milk mist owns me on lazy skincare days. I hate the name and the price. Love for the rest. It’s like a toner and a moisturizer and whatever all in one. Water and glycerin and birch sap and squalene and and glycols and some oils and then botanicals in tiny amounts that we all should be skeptical about. If I can manage nothing but splashing water on my face and a few sprays of Boum-boum…miraculously my skin survives to see another day without its usual multi-step process. For this I am a grateful shill. Haven’t tried any other products from the line.

  • Lasting power of lipstick is pretty good, but definitely more of a velvet matte finish. Skincare is nice too, very refreshing. It's just a bit pricey, and I wish they had more shades!

  • Love love the liquid eyeshadows! The color payoff is amazing and the dry down is perfect. I am not an eyeshadow person but I have the whole collection of colors. They are easy and beautiful.

  • Their lip balm caused my lips to become dry and chapped for weeks. They would not refund my money even if I sent the product back. #buyerbeware

  • I bought a few of the Yeux paint eyeshadows and the red Petal Bouche Matte lip product. I love them all so much! They’re super pigmented which can be a little tricky to work with at first, but once I got used to it, it was no problem! I really love the wands in the Yeux Paints — It’s easy to apply the product both as an eyeliner and an eyeshadow. My order arrived quickly and was packaged very nicely!
