UrbanStems earns largely negative reviews: the brand disappoints on quality control and reliability, with many reports of wilted or dead flowers, short vase life, wrong or downgraded bouquets, missing vases/notes, and missed delivery dates that ruin time-sensitive occasions. A minority of reviews praise modern, distinctive arrangements, occasional on-time delivery, and helpful credits, but persistent inconsistencies and substitutions without consent make UrbanStems a risky choice for meaningful events.

Flowers did not look anything like the photo. They lasted just a few days.
I have used UrbanStems for about 4 years - purchasing as gifts for others or for myself - and always had different experiences with them. PROS The deliveries arrived on time (or even earlier), the arrangements are in good condition, no damages, no spoilage, etc. When sending as gifts, the recipient would always text me right away and compliment on how beautiful the arrangements are. CONS When I did run into some issues, it mainly had to do with the condition of the flowers. Here are two experiences that I remember: (1) The arrangement had some buds/flowers in awful condition (I remember one of them was moldy!); and (2) The arrangement arrived in decent condition, but after prepping it and putting it in water, it wouldn't look so fresh the following day. I do contact customer service, and their reps are so responsive to my concerns. They would either offer credit or a replacement; if I asked for replacements which I then received almost 1-2 days later with no issue. RECENT EXPERIENCE I noticed something different from my most recent purchase in July VS one of my orders from July 2023: they're using a different shipping courier! In the past they've always used FedEx, but now they ship with OnTrac. Normally I am okay with OnTrac, but they usually deliver towards the end of the business day in my area (around 4pm-5pm). This was much later than I was used to (FedEx delivery would always be around 12pm-2pm), so I was a bit concerned and worried about the condition of the arrangement by the time it is delivered especially since it was during the summer heatwave. Fortunately, the arrangement arrived in great condition without any issues (I think that damp foamy-sponge wrapped around the base of the stems definitely helped!). But I am definitely going to keep a close eye when I purchase again in the future! PERSONAL TIP Try to place your order (or schedule the shipping/delivery) at least 1-3 business days before you need it. For example, if you need it on the 5th, check to see if you can schedule the delivery between the 1st and 3rd in case you need additional time to contact customer service if you come across any issues. But honestly the earlier the better... it's less stressful that way LOL Of course, don't forget to take into consideration the popular holidays (Mother's Day and Christmas are the two big ones!) and weekends, but that is the general timeline I follow when ordering flowers online! P.S. If you like to have your flowers delivered exactly on someone's special day, I recommend supporting your local florist as they may offer local delivery!
Amazing easy website with excellent selection of ready to ship flower arrangements. I chose an Orchid as gift. Arrived in 1 day.

I remember being so impressed the first time I used UrbanStems years ago as I've always loved the idea of sending flowers or plants to friends and family, but never had the right platform to order a nice bouquet or arrangement (not just roses or something basic from 1-800-flowers). I love that they have expanded over the years to deliver across the US and added in giftable items along with fresh flowers and plants! The range of price points is affordable if you need it to be and unless you're ordering around a major holiday, there's always a decent selection.
This was a good last-minute birthday gift for my grandmother and she loved it - however, the end product didn't look exactly like the website.
I wasn't overjoyed with the flower quality from Urban Stems. I like the concept and their floral designs, but wasn't impressed with the execution.

They shouldn't pack the flowers so tightly inside the bouquets, some of them get crushed in transit.
S t u n n i n g bouquets. Urbanstems has the most modern, unique, gorgeous flower combinations / arrangements of any online flower shop I've seen! They feel so high end and luxurious and make incredible gifts. It makes your friends feel like you REALLY care about them when you send these bad boys.

I paid $155 for a bouquet for Mother's Day, I also paid extra for a special vase, and wrote her a letter. The company sent the wrong bouquet that had flowers my mom is allergic to, a letter from a different family, and did not send the vase I paid for. When I reached out for help, asking for they could send my correct order that I did not receive, they only offered me $15 if I ever want to buy something else from them in the future. I'm shocked, disappointed, and embarrassed that my mom received a letter from a different family.

Scammers. This company is making charges to people all around the world who have never even heard of the company, myself included. The company is illegally buying card details and trying to charge all of them. If you notice a charge on your statement, contact your bank immediately.

Lost my business on this last order . My niece’s graduation. Totally disappointed with the count and quality . Years back they were good. Last two times ordering from them has shown me quality and count are of question . Worked for a company such as this so I learned a few things

To begin, I have placed a few ordered with UrbanStems in the past and had pretty good results. The "double" bouquets arrive separately bundled which is slightly annoying but quality was o.k. overall. Unfortunately, the flowers I ordered for my beautiful Wife for Mothers day arrived in extremely poor condition- they appear to have had been left in a hot truck with other heavy items on top of them or something. Almost every flower and leaf was crushed. Also the flowers were not as abundant as pictures on the website. To top it off, the vase recommended on their website was not large enough to accommodate the flowers, even though there were less than there should be. "O.K." I thought, you can't always get it right with this sort of thing. I figured I would reach out to the customer service department to help resolve the issue. Nope. I emailed them the day of the delivery but no response for 2 days. I tried again early the next week and still so response. I called and was directed to what seemed very much to be an overseas call center where the people there act very concerned but can't actually do anything to help- they asked that I email them again with pictures and assured me they would escalate and follow up. Since there had been no response to my previous 2 email attempts I asked her to email me something I could reply to. She did and I replied within 5 minutes. Still no response the following day so I called again. Call center again. This person said they couldn't see my emails and asked me to email again. I did this and she asked me to try again later to follow up with them. I explained that since after they messed up my order, I had made 6 attempts (including this call) to contact them for resolution, to no success. I asked for her instead to have them reach out to me with a resolution (or options) by the following day. Today is that day. Instead of solutions, I received an email to review their Customer service response from my first email to them which I still have not received any response to. I replied and let them know about the situation. I even tried calling them one last time and this time the call center person (or whatever they were) was having trouble hearing me but I had not trouble hearing roosters crow in the back ground I sh--t you not. I give up. It was over $200 but not worth the aggravation giving them any more opportunities to fixt the issue (or even reach back out to me- in ANY way at all). Hope this review may save others the trouble. If you want to order flowers, I recommend you consider finding another solution.

Well the flowers delivered on time, beautiful my first thought, sent by my daughter, 2 days later dropped down and discoloration setting in, so got in touch with the customer service, sent me a second batch (mind you 2 flower arrangements) now 3 days and this shipment the same thing happens, the stems of these flowers are dried up, should have taken pictures of them, didn't have the time, these are not fresh by any means whatsoever, never again! Sadly my daughter must of spent a small fortune on these flowers for mothers day! Bad business far as I'm concerned 😟

Absolutely horrible. Avoid Urbanstems at all costs. They never delivered my sisters plant for Mother’s Day and insisted it was delivered until I showed them their “proof of delivery” picture which was literally a zoomed up pic of their logo. I even created a case with FedEx but they said to reach out to the company. Then urbanstems offered to redeliver without any discount and I would still be charged $25 for their special delivery date that was missed. Gave me the run around for days and finally I requested all my money back. They also delivered my mother in laws orchid broken. Horrible company with robot customer service. You couldn’t pay me to use them again. They will ruin your special occasion.

What I ordered in the picture had 18 roses and the bouquet delivered was 8 roses. I contacted UrbanStems and they told me it was fine and that the vase was just too big. They did not give me a credit. I will not recommend nor ever use it again.

Poor customer service and issue resolution. They don’t seem like the type of company that cares about its standard customers.

Ordered a special sunflower arrangement for a child's funeral. I contacted them before placing the order to be sure that they would arrive on time. They told me to set up delivery a day earlier than I needed them and that there would be no issues and deliveries were all scheduled on time. I ordered for a day early and received an email that it was on fedex delivery truck and out for delivery. Not only did they not deliver a day early .. they never arrived for the funeral the nest day either. I had ordered from them before and they had made a mistake ... this one was unforgivable. Will NEVER use them again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I ordered a tulip bouquet with a vase and a personalized note attached for my grandmother on Mother’s Day. Tulips arrived destroyed and dead!! Vase did not arrive at all and there was no note attached. My grandmother had to call the company to confirm who sent them. Only plus was they refunded me and resent the item. AND THEN the 2nd bouquet arrived equally dead as the first one, AND the vase was crushed and broken. This whole experience was awful and I won’t be using this company again.

Don’t trust the shipping time. I received Mothers Day flowers the day after. Must have spent the weekend in a hot fedex truck. I received dead flowers.

UrbanStems is a scam. Stay away. My Mother's Day order was delayed due to "carrier issues". Yet, 5 days AFTER Mother's Day flowers never arrived. They emailed me at midnight ON THE DELIVERY DAY....... How would I make alternate arrangements the morning of Mother's Day? I live 16 hours away...What can I order day of to make-up for their incompetence? They offered to send an arrangement, but they want to send it Ground..... They'll be dead on their expected arrival date. requested a call back from a manager..... Rep flat out said NO, then hung up on me.... Two seperate times..... I am completely mortified.... NEVER again
