UrbanStems earns largely negative reviews: the brand disappoints on quality control and reliability, with many reports of wilted or dead flowers, short vase life, wrong or downgraded bouquets, missing vases/notes, and missed delivery dates that ruin time-sensitive occasions. A minority of reviews praise modern, distinctive arrangements, occasional on-time delivery, and helpful credits, but persistent inconsistencies and substitutions without consent make UrbanStems a risky choice for meaningful events.

My order for Mothers Day was not processed due to a “technical error.” They offered to resend but the turn around time was 1 full week. Absolutely unacceptable.

I was hesitant, but they have beautiful arrangements so I gave it a try. The flowers delivered are beautiful, fresh and delivered quickly and thoughtfully. Customer services is attentive and very helpful.

If I share my experience, you will think I’m making it up. It began with the plant I sent to a friend on the anniversary of her husband’s death. My note said something about it being something that would not die. It arrived, as you may have guessed, dead. Days later, and completely dead. Fortunately, it made the widow laugh because it was completely absurd. Then there were several credits and emails and refunds and a live plant got there eventually. Using the credit, I ordered a bouquet of dried blue flowers for mom. Great news from the Happiness Team (yes, really)! They upgraded to yellow flowers! To make sure the recipient is happy! No, I don’t want yellow flowers. Too late, they’re sent! But you can order more stuff! No, really…no yellow flowers. OK, a credit to your credit card! Wait, to store credit? For 1/3 of the amount? For the whole amount? We just don’t know! Maybe there are yellow flowers en route. Maybe I’ve been credited back. Maybe I haven’t. You just can’t know! Happiness Team is on it!

If you want flowers, delivered, use someone else. Even with a store credit, it’s just too painful to deal with UrbanStems.

Difficult user interface. I was marketed that particular bouquets would ship for free, then it would still charge me shipping. The promo codes that they sent in relentless emails never worked when I tried to apply them

Better website interface would be beneficial, I get too frustrated trying to order flowers and different buttons won’t work on the website

I ordered the Henley for my mother's 79 birthday. Unfortunately the flowers were wilted and not that attractive. I'm so upset. The amount of money I spent on these flowers...I could have shopped local and received an amazing fresh arrangement. I had high hopes that this would be a fantastic online company for my flower delivery needs and am very disappointed.

I am a retired professional florist, but always enjoy receiving flowers. My 2 besties chipped in via Urban Stems to send me flowers for my birthday. The flowers never arrived. I thought my besties forgot my birthday, which really hurt my feelings. When they inquired about the flowers, they were furious to find out they never arrived. Then Urban Stems fast logged another order and dropped the flowers off at my front door, IN SUB-ZERO TEMPERATURE - late in the afternoon, one day after my birthday, in late Jan. The flowers sat outside for over 3 hours. When I arrived home, and unpacked the flowers, they were frozen solid. The flowers were also extremely hard to unpack, as they were zip-tied all over the place. They also had no water source - so were packed dry.... not that it mattered, given the temperature they were exposed to outside my house. This order, from start to finish, was a total disaster. BUYER BEWARE!! DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Mattie L.

Urban Stems seems to pride themselves on their "unique" and "different" company style. But they are clearly not a professional floral operation. I had a horrible experience with them - as a professional florist, I know all the ins and outs of floral care, and floral customer service. Their packing of flowers is outrageous - no water source for the stems, flowers precariously zip-tied everywhere inside the box, flowers never arrived on my birthday sent by friends, even tho it was guaranteed to arrive on my birthday, and the courier that delivered the flowers left the box at my front door, a day later, in SUB-ZERO TEMPERATURE!!!! Arriving home, later in the evening, I retrieved my frozen, dead flowers from Urban Stems. I know the world is not functioning as it used to, but, we cannot afford this kind of lazy and careless operation to exist. I am not including a photo of the flowers because they went directly into the trash. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! EVER!!!

My best friend who I’ve known since I was born passed away last year. Today is the one year anniversary of her passing and so I sent a huge bouquet of flowers to her family, and especially made sure to triple check the delivery date to align with todays date. Well, they moved the delivery to next Thursday without informing me, no phone call or email, no status update on the website. When I finally called them, the customer support rep told me they had “quality issues” and delayed my order. No asking me if there were alternatives I’d prefer, no asking if I’d prefer to cancel. When I explained the situation of why this was so important, he put me on hold for 20 minutes while he tried to find a manager, told me that all managers were busy and couldn’t take my call because “there’s an escalation process”, and that I’d get a call back in 2 days. He then proceeded to make a show about how he’d be generous enough to give me a refund and store credit without taking any accountability for what happened. The fact that they screwed up my order and then decided flowers for the family of a deceased friend wasn’t important enough for them to address right away blew my mind. They not only have a broken system and terrible customer service, they completely lack empathy.

People send flowers on important dates. Flowers have meaning because of the day and occasion in which people receive them. *WHEN* people receive their flowers aren’t just a matter of convenience, it’s a matter of making or breaking the meaning behind it. Clearly, urbanstems has zero regard for this and zero remorse, let alone any efforts to make this right
