I’ve been using this smart helmet for biking for some time now, and I’m honestly very happy with it. The helmet feels comfortable and well made, even during longer rides, and it doesn’t feel heavy or awkward on my head. What really stands out are the smart safety features. The built-in lights and turn signals make a big difference when riding in traffic or at night, and they give me extra confidence on the road. Setup was easy, and after a short learning curve everything feels intuitive to use. I also like the design, which looks modern without being overdone or bulky. If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be making the battery status a bit more noticeable, but overall this is a great product. It genuinely adds safety and peace of mind to everyday cycling, and I would recommend it to anyone who rides regularly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing helmets and accessories loads of options light adjustments and controlling modes for helmet the turn signals defentaly save life's!. Had a problem with helmet nothing major but a defected mode but then had a genuinely outstanding experience with UNIT 1’s customer service recently. Valentina Orellana went above and beyond to help me out—handling everything with care, speed, and real attention to detail. She made sure my helmet was replaced without any hassle, and there was also a gesture of goodwill included that was brilliant and something I honestly didn’t expect to be able to get. That kind of effort speaks volumes. Valentina deserves full credit for the hard work—she really took ownership and made sure everything was sorted. When she was off, her manager Mia picked up on her emails just to let me know things were on track and to reassure me that all feedback was being passed back to Valentina so she got the recognition she was due. Mia was polite and professional, and it was clear the whole team cared. level of service deserves recognition. Thanks again to everyone involved unit 1 team rock especially Valentina and Maria👌

I can’t say enough great things about Unit 1 and their incredible customer experience. I recently had a zipper issue with my Torch Backpack, and their team went above and beyond to make it right. The replacement process was smooth, quick, and completely stress-free. A special thank you to Ana, who was exceptionally gracious, patient, and genuinely helpful on the phone—she made the entire experience feel effortless and truly cared about resolving my issue. As for the gear itself, the Torch Backpack is outstanding. The build quality is top-notch, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The pocket layout is incredibly practical, everything is easy to access, and it’s extremely comfortable to wear. Whether I’m traveling, commuting through the city, or even making a quick grocery run, it fits seamlessly into my daily routine. One of my favorite features is the integrated lighting system—I use it all the time. Living in Chicago, where the weather can be unpredictable, I’ve put this gear through its paces, and it has held up amazingly well. I also own one of their helmets, and it’s just as impressive. Unit 1 clearly prioritizes both safety and thoughtful design, which is rare to find at this level. I’m already looking forward to purchasing more of their gear as soon as new products are released. If you’re considering Unit 1, don’t hesitate—you’re getting premium quality backed by truly exceptional customer service. They’ve earned my 100% positive recommendation.

Recommend anything Unit 1 has as my experiences so far are excellent in all aspects. Safe, quality, great customer service what more can you ask for.

Hello, I own the UNIT 1 NEON model. It's undoubtedly one of the best bike helmets I've bought in a long time, and it deserves all the praise from cyclists who own one. It's rare to find a product that so perfectly combines design and safety, suitable for all uses and all head sizes. Thank you, UNIT 1.

I ride a BTWIN family cargo bike with the front child compartment, so visibility is something I worry about a lot. I added the Smart Lights, one in the front and one in the back, and it honestly felt like a game changer for me. Having lights both ahead of me and behind makes me feel much calmer when riding, especially in traffic or during cloudy days. I know cars can see us much better, not just me but my kids too, and that peace of mind is huge as a parent. I also use the Aura helmet, and between the helmet and the lights, it honestly feels like one of the best investments I’ve made for my peace of mind.

I had a few issues with the products, but that's when the magic happened: I received excellent customer service. The agent went out of her way to resolve my problems; she was quick, thorough, and very kind. I have absolutely no complaints; what seemed problematic was resolved quickly and with excellent personalized attention. I received more than I expected. First-class service, nothing to complain about. It rivals the best companies in the world. Thank you for everything.

I was involved in an electric skateboard accident while wearing FARO Mips here in Madrid. That helmet saved my life. Crash Alert worked fine – luckily, I was with friends, so I didn't need it. Will be thankful forever. Then I got an AURA Mips as a replacement, and since then, I feel like drivers give me more space when my lights are on. I get compliments on every stop, and their customer support is fantastic. Would recommend their products and the brand to anyone out there.

As a first time E-bike rider, I was so excited to come across this great helmet when shopping for gear. Then to get style, safety, comfort and functionality all for the price of an Impossible Pass is a WIN!🎉🎉

Everything works seamlessly. Super good protection after a recent fall. The contact person was automatically notified of their location. The turn signals are a real added value in the city center. The helmet visor adjusts perfectly to the intensity of the sunlight. The backpack fits perfectly and has many handy compartments. And the water bottle is a real added value and fits perfectly in the side pocket.

Best helmet I’ve ever owned? Fit is spot on, even with the winter liner, it’s super cool looking and gets lots of looks/compliments but better yet. It makes me so much safer out on the road, especially when things get bleak in the UK. I love night rides and they are super satisfying with the AURA. I do have a couple of points that I think could be improved: 1. Power button on the helmet too stiff, needs something easier to press! 2. App interface, while very good looking is not intuitive. UI/UX could be improved. 3. More remote options would be nice. (Compact options). 4. Audible feedback for blinkers? Brighter lights on the remote. And maybe revising the way the blinkers work and making them so that they STAY on until cancelled (similar to motorcycle signals). Overall, worthwhile investment and would not hesitate one bit to recommend to my fellow cyclists!

My new Aura helmet by Unit 1 is wonderful. It has front and rear headlights, turn signals, brake lights, and it is built like a tank. Yes, it’s a little heavier than my former bike helmet, but that was only rated for bikes and this has a much higher rating for E bike accidents. It is very comfortable, very well built, the lights are customizable to your liking with their appmfor during the day or at night. The turn signals requires a separate little Bluetooth thing that clips to your handlebars. I find mine quite convenient, and there’s also an accelerometer in it that makes the brake lights automatic. Apparently they’re working on a new one, which is great, but I don’t find anything wrong with this other one, aside from the fact that it’s a separate purchase. In my opinion, it should be included. When I first looked at the helmet and first got the helmet, I thought this is gonna be really hot. I live in Vancouver Canada, so nine months of the year that’s not a problem because it’s freezing here. But for the three months when it is actually hot, I thought well I’ll just put up with it for the added protection and the lights. To my absolute delight, it’s actually cooler than my old helmet was, even though my old helmet had all kinds of strafes and vents in it to let in air, but the way they’ve designed this thing, the aerodynamics cause the wind to go right through the helmet and it keeps me nice and cool. In spite of the added weight and protection, it’s actually cooler than my old one. And although I initially had a little trouble with the magnetic clasps, now that my antique brain has wrapped itself around the concept, it’s actually very convenient and comfortable and incredibly well designed, and I like it better than the old mechanical claps. I managed to get this helmet on sale for 20% off, which was great. It comes with a visor, which is wonderful as the sun starts to dip low in the fall months. I often ride from new Westminster to Vancouver to stay with my sweetie, and as I ride after work, the sun is low in the horizon, it would be right in my eyes the whole way along if it wasn’t for this visor. They also make some accessory goggles for the front of the visor that you can either wear with glasses or without; I’m definitely gonna get one of those. And also, because they gave me a cashback deal, I have a $45 credit waiting at their store, so I’ll be able to buy the goggles really inexpensively. It’s a great company, it’s apparently the highest rated smart helmet on the market, and I would attest to that, and all the people I’ve dealt with at Unit 1 have been first rate. These helmets are not cheap, but they are magnitudes cheaper than brain surgery or a debilitating injury. I absolutely love this thing.

Current owner of Faro helmet. Purchased an Aura helmet this past week and impressed with the quality, features and less weight than Faro. Aura equipped with visor whereas Faro is not. Ordered an Adaptive Helmet Visor to compliment the helmet (shipping from China). Previously reviewed Smart lights mounted on a Surface 604 eBike. Purchased two Smart Lights and installed front and rear on a Surface604 eBike. For the front removed the OEM Light and used same mounting bracket. Rear light mounted under seat with Unit 1 hardware. Setup: Front Flasing White, Rear Flashing Red. Both have turn signals activated by remote. Aura Helmet with front and rear flashing. Lights provide for maximum visibility for traffic. Absolutely the best lights on the market. Sync feature with remote to turn on/off all lights is a PLUS. Great products from Unit 1.

The bag is definitely designed for the modern-day user! This bag has been extremely engineered for the user. Having my iPad, laptop, and a little pouch (think of it like a mini pencil box) magnetically attached to the top for easy access. So many areas to store items, and they aren’t placed at random; it is entirely engineered to make sense. You don’t even notice the weight when you have the backpack on. With a cheap backpack, I noticed the weight, but with this one, it even has memory foam to support it. I know it is pricey, but the quality is spectacular. Their customer service matches the price you pay. There was a shipping issue, and the team was quick to action! Always following up with me, ensuring everything is a smooth process, and honestly, this is beyond any service I’ve received. 10/10

Their customer support is top notch and I had one of my best experiences ever with them. The AURA helmet is amazing and makes me feel a lot safer. It's light, strong, MIPS, looks good, feels good, easy to adjust. The lights are powerful, the different modes are super helpful and connecting it to the other accessories is very easy. I'd definitely buy it again. The magnetic rim is also quite strong and doesn't feel like it would detach.

I've had the Unit 1 Faro for about a year and a half and I have used it for maybe 400 days during that time (daily). Overall, I love the creativity and effort put into this helmet. A big part of the reason I wear a helmet at all is because of how cool this one looks. More importantly, as someone with a tendency to destroy gear, I have been happy with the durability and versatility of this commuter-style beast. I ride in all weather for pretty much any kind of trip whether it's to work or the grocery store all year round. I also have the turn signal remote which I think is a worthwhile addition. I'm regularly surprised when cars yield to me after I used my turn signals. While they might not be as visible on a blaring sunny day, in most weather, others on the road will see you. If paired with a balaclava or thin hat, your head stays warm in the winter, yet it has plenty of ventilation for the summer. I'm very impressed with the battery life in low temperatures (~10° F) of both the helmet and remote. Even if you use a higher energy custom light pattern on their app, you get at least three consecutive hours of use out of it, but it can go way longer if you use the energy conservative mode. The app itself is pretty easy to use and very customizable. Despite not taking particular care to look after the helmet, outer shell is in very good shape and the waterproof plugs on the remote and helmet are as new. Despite everyday wear and regular soakings in the rain it does not pick up a smell. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone that is a commuter and is worried about their safety on the road or is trying to kick a bad helmet habit. If you're looking for something a little more high speed, you should check out their Aura which is a lighter version of the helmet, although it doesn't have the super cool hidden light. Both helmets come with a rotational impact system which differentiates them from a lot of other helmet providers. This is really big for protecting yourself from concussions.

The Unit 1 Torch backpack is absolutely phenomenal. As someone constantly on the go, this bag has been a game-changer. It's thoughtfully designed for commuters, blending functionality, comfort, and style seamlessly. From the built-in smart lighting to the quality construction, every detail feels purposeful. I’ve actually purchased everything this company makes — including their smart helmets and lights — because their gear just works. It’s not only about safety, though that’s a huge plus; it’s also about the convenience. Unit 1 has created a full ecosystem that truly understands the needs of modern commuters. If you're looking for dependable, high-tech gear that keeps you safe, organized, and mobile, I can’t recommend Unit 1 enough. The Torch backpack is the best place to start — or continue — your journey.

App
I read a lot about the app not working great has it been updated? is it working better?
