Reviews mention

  • Well-organized, intuitive website interface
  • Protective, eco-friendly shipping packaging
  • Expansive, health-focused product assortment
  • Quality, reliable house-brand staples
  • Inconsistent inventory with frequent stockouts
  • Limited everyday grocery selection
  • Annoying membership cancellation process
  • Order minimums create purchasing waste

Thrive Market earns mixed reviews: it excels at convenient, well-organized shopping for organic and specialty pantry goods with fast shipping, sturdy packaging, and an expanding in-house line, but it falters on limited everyday selection, frequent stockouts, and friction around memberships and cancellation. Reviews note that while some see genuinely competitive prices and discovery-friendly curation, others find minimal savings versus local stores, mandatory order minimums, and autoship quirks that undercut value.

  • Thrive Market is great. This is the place where you can get Rosey (store brand) cleaning/laundry products. Rosey has been getting consistently good marks in product tests and I personally have good experiences with their dish and bathroom products specifically. I discovered Thrive because I order a lot of my pantry items online and personally lean into less-processed, fewer ingredient foods. Thrive offers a lot of options on this front, in addition to numerous vegetarian/vegan options and (if you have food sensitivities) gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, etc. options. I've used them for a few years, and I appreciate that they're constantly expanding their offerings. They even have a handful of body products that I really enjoy. The best thing of all is that the discounts they provide are real. I price compare regularly for pantry and beauty staples (and I don't go cheap!), and you can save quite a bit of money by shopping through Thrive instead of a big box store or even the brand website. Also, Thrive brand grocery has been consistently good quality for me. They also give you the option to donate a percentage of your savings on each order. I always default to 50% -- it's a very convenient, reliable way to pay-it-forward.

  • This online grocery delivery service aims to replace regular trips to the supermarket, yet they don't stock many basic necessities that shoppers need. I found myself still having to go to my regular grocery store in addition to ordering from Thrive Market. The selection lacks many common grocery items and pantry staples. While they offer some specialty and organic products, you can't solely rely on Thrive Market for all your household needs. I had hoped it would be a true one-stop shop to replace my normal grocery hauls. Unfortunately, the inventory gaps forced me to continue shopping at brick-and-mortar stores regardless of my Thrive Market orders

  • I’ve been a member for a few years. I enjoy the variety and trying new items. However they’re out of a lot of items often. That makes it difficult to get what you’re looking for.

  • I have been using Thrive for about 2 years now and I have found so many great brands and they offer wonderful discounts too! I buy pantry staples, snacks, and household cleaners from them. Their prices are often better than Amazon and they have a fantastic selection. I can't say enough great things about this company!

No complaints, I will continue using. A staple for my household!

  • I’ve ordered from them a couple of times. Very good selection and love that everything is geared towards being clean and organic and healthy. However one of my orders when it arrived, one of the balms was leaking and all melted so it was unfortunate. I think it’s because shipping took quite a while and considering it was summer, it was bound to have melted when there was no cooling type of packaging … I reached out to customer service and they handled it well and just sent me a replacement.

  • Love Thrive market! So many high quality products at a great price point. Paying a membership kind of sucks but it's worth it if you use it enough.

  • I have been using Thrive Market for a few months now, and I can't say it's worth it. I think there's too many hidden fees that kind of cancel out the mark-down prices. Also, it's important to note that some of the markdowns aren't even that great, like a 5% discount isn't that great. I have summarized the pros and cons in the feedback section, so I won't ramble on anymore, but I will warn with a few more things. 1. I was missing an item with part of my order, and I needed to contact them to get refunded. The customer support was great, but I needed to go out of my way to have a phone call, which was a huge inconvenience for me 2. I had a problem cancelling autopay on two items, on both the app and my laptop, and needed to contact customer service to help me with that, which was also really annoying 3. Some of the items have an order minimum, and I wanted to get marshmallows, but needed to purchase FOUR BAGS of marshmallows, which is actually ridiculous. Now I'm stuck with way too many marshmallows. Overall was not worth it and would not recommend.

Pros: - Packaged extremely well, even with fragile items - Fast delivery time (~2 days) - Good customer service - Good branding and marketing - They have a large database offering popular healthy brands and some niche brands too - Simple user-friendly interface on website and app Cons: - Annual membership fee of $59.95 per year - Order minimums (ranging from 2-4 items needed of the same item) - Free shipping only on orders over $49+ (otherwise costs $5.95 for shipping) - Wine box only has free shipping on orders over $79+ (otherwise costs $13.95 for shipping) - Frozen box has a minimum order amount of $65 - Frozen box only has free shipping on orders over $120+ (otherwise costs $19.95 for shipping) - Some items can only be discounted when placed on Autoship - Their price match guarantee is not worth the extra effort it takes to reach out and tell them about a lower price at a different store - Free gift items with every purchase, but only when order total is over $49

  • Thrive provides a lot of convenience, and the types of product that I love-- but I wish they had a better variety of international/ethnic ingredients that I have a hard time finding at the grocery store. A lot of the time, I think "I should just do a pickup order at the grocery store" and it saves me money over thrive.

  • I enjoyed the convenience of the delivery to my door. Great for restocking pantry items and finding new brands to try. Giving it a lower score because it is not as all encompassing of a grocery service and I found myself still having to get a lot of my food from elsewhere. Additionally it was a bit difficult to cancel my subscription when I was done.

  • Overall I love Thrive Market. They have a lot of good, quality house brand items as well as a large selection of other food, pet, and household products. I'm happy they've expanded to offer frozen foods but would like to see this continue to grow with more vegan options. I just wish they would offer refrigerated items – maybe one day?

  • I found that almost all of the products in my box left me unsatisfied. I only gave the box three tries. I'm sure there are some great products available it just didn't fit with my taste.

  • I enjoy Thrive for the snacks. There have been several times that what I have in my autoship is not available. A good variety and love that you can sort via dietary preferences. I've tried a few new items (probiotic sodas, that I honestly use for a mixer) that I probably would have never found!

    Feedback

If you can get a referral code to try some stuff out before having to commit to the subscription but honestly it's not too expensive considering the value of the products they provide. They make it really easy to skip or move your ship dates too!

  • This would be great for me if I didn’t live in Southern California. I can get most things available on the site at my local Sprouts for about the same price. Not worth the money for me. If I ever move somewhere with less access to healthy grocery options though, I would sign up again.

    Feedback

The pricing is consistent with the pricing of products at my local Sprouts. I’m not actually saving money with my membership

  • A nice and convenient way to order and receive “healthy” staples and snacks. You do pay a membership fee but get a huge variety of products to choose from and they are delivered so quickly.

  • Was a member for over two years.

    Feedback

Love the idea, love the concept but do not like that I have to pay a subscription fee when I can grab the same food s at my local health foods market down the street with the exception of thrive branded products. Drop the fee and I’d be a regular customer.

  • I am so upset after purchasing a 12-cup alkaline water pitcher and 2 months later can not find a replacement filter for it! Thrive Market doesn't list a phone number to call and their "chat" feature is with an AI bot that didn't understand or answer my questions. I googled Thrive Market and found a phone number and did verify with Tyrone at Thrive Market that they don't sell the replacement filters. He said Target and Walmart sell them, but I searched both stores and their websites and they do not. Tyrone gave me a $10 credit to use on future purchases, but I'm turned off to that company now!

  • I love their selection of products, and it has been growing over the years, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, I don't use it as often since I still need to buy fresh veggies at Whole Foods and often end up buying what I need there. But if you are looking for better pricing on some items, Thrive Market often has very competitive pricing compared to other stores. Customer service is impressive.

  • Found some things that I liked and the Prices were kind a high if you couldn’t work the deals they have available. Wasn’t really for me. Sent a note resigning my membership. Months later they charged me again for membership. Squawked and complained but they gave me 1995 off out of 50 bucks. Made sure they knew that I didn’t ever want to deal with them again, and that I was totally out of their customer base. They acknowledged this and wished me a good day. Nearly a year later I checked to see if they were going to screw me out of my money again, and they were planning on it! Good thing I didn’t trust these crooks. I took a picture of the note saying that I am free from their grip. Highly recommend you just stay away and look somewhere else for your good food. Period

  • This is the worst customer service you can ever talk to about canceling your subscription! That is all I wanted to to! Instead of understanding that I just wanted to cancel my membership she was try to sell me on different membership lower membership prices! The throw in 20% off or another 45% off. It's I don't care about anything of that. I clearly told her I made the account to see what kind of products they carried. I thought I canceled it back in 2020 right after I made the account. She still didn't care and just made it hard and difficult to gut simply cancel a stupid subscription! Why make that difficult! Definitely does not make you want to come back in the future!

  • Thrive market had so many healthier food choices and the prices really are the best i can find. I received a box of my favorite food every month. Can't live without them!
