Subset Reviews

Best of Thingtesting4.6

Subset earns strong reviews for organic cotton underwear that feels soft, breathable, and durable, with many noting superior fit and comfort versus brands like Organic Basics and Aerie; however, reports cite visible panty lines, inconsistent fit on certain cuts, and occasional elastic wear or inseam warping over time. Reviews praise the brand’s garment recycling program and thoughtful packaging, while noting limited no‑show options and some sizing quirks.

  • I’ve been really impressed with this brand. I’ve only tried their underwear so far, but in terms of organic, non-toxic, and well-made, they’re top-notch. I’ve tried other brands for the same reasons—including Organic Basics—and none have fit me as well as Subset. They are a bit pricey, so I usually wait for a sale, but the quality feels worth it, and I expect them to last for years. Definitely a brand I’ll keep coming back to.

  • These are my everyday undies for the past year+. I'd been on the lookout for a while, after deciding I needed to retire my non organic cotton regulars. I have tried a few brands and I think the mid-rise briefs deliver on comfort and feel barely there. Only knocking off a point because they are often sold-out in my size, and the current colors aren't that exciting -- would love to see some new ones!

  • Underwear perfection! After searching and combing through multiple, sustainable underwear brands, Knickey and Pact have come out on top for me! Neither have more seamless options, but that's alright with me. They're comfy, cotton, and make me feel great in them. They come in such a fun array of colors as well. The only thing I don't love is that on some of my pairs, after washing, the inseam gets all wonky and doesn't lay flat. This is after I wash it according to the instructions. It's not a big deal and it doesn't affect the comfort level, but just a pet peeve of mine. I also tried the Triangle bra and am obsessed. I've been looking for regular bras that are nursing friendly and I finally found one! Super cute and comfortable, just like the underwear.

  • I love the fact that I can recycle my worn garments with this company. I love their underwear and their bras - they're all super soft and comfortable and the colors are all so wonderful. It is on the pricier end, but I still think it is a great purchase for me to wear and take care of.
