Reviews mention

  • Tasty low‑sugar candies
  • Nostalgic flavor recreations
  • Bright, fruity flavor profiles
  • Convenient portioned packaging
  • Extremely sticky texture
  • Inconsistent chewiness firmness
  • Sweetener aftertaste lingering
  • Potential gastrointestinal discomfort

SmartSweets earns positive reviews for genuinely tasty, low‑sugar takes on nostalgic gummies like Sweet Fish, Peach Rings, Sourmelon Bites, and Red Twists; it satisfies cravings and often avoids “fake” sweetener aftertaste. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: many candies are extremely sticky or tough, flavors can be inconsistent with occasional stevia/allulose aftertaste and GI upset, and portions feel small. Overall, SmartSweets is good if cutting sugar, but texture quirks and formula variability make it a compromise for purists.

  • The flavors are good but there is a bit of a low-sugar aftertaste. I also felt like the gummies really got stuck in my teeth, they're veryyy gummy.

So happy they aren't made with gelatin <3

  • I really wanted to love this and think that the product is great. I however have an insane taste and the after flavor was not for me.

If you’re not sensitive to alternative sugars this is for you!

  • I really love SmartSweets. Their products are innovative and exactly what I want and need when I don’t want too much sugar.

  • Totally delicious and a bit healthier alternative to mainstream candies. A wonderful challenge for the big brands.

Just realize that this candy will be different, whether good or bad, it isn’t exactly like its similar counterparts. Just different enough to feel better while still tasting great!

  • Better than candy! Love all of these products. They are sweet but without being overpowering. No artificial aftertaste

I wish there was more to a package

  • We are on a mission to remove all sugar alcohols, dyes, everything that is harmful. We ordered the 14 pack on Nov 24th, it was delivered quickly! We ordered these for my 5 year old, candy obsessed boy! He loves the sour kids and the gummy worms, he hasnt made it through all of the flavors yet. We were very impressed with his response and will be ordering again!

  • I do like these products because they have some vegan options. Not all products are vegan.

    Feedback

These are great for kids! Sometimes they have a softer texture rather than chewy. The sweetener they use can also taste a bit artificial at times but overall they are yummy.

  • They aren't the sugar-crash wielding treat of our youth, but they're the more elegant alternative for our current health. The peach rings steal the show! They'll quench your sweet craving, just prepare to floss well after.

    Feedback

Texture could be better! Don't expect the exact candy they emulate.

  • I appreciate the function of this product and the niche it attempts to feel. I was able to purchase different candies from Target which made this product more lucrative to me considering the accessibility of purchasing it.

As someone with a raging sweet tooth this was a great alternative for my cravings but it just didn't hit that spot for me. If you like something sweet here and there I think these are perfect. Some flavors are better than others but once you find the ones you like they are pretty good. I think these are a great alternative for parents who still want to indulge their children without all the sugar of popular candy.

  • This was pretty decent candy for adults who miss the nostalgia of candy - it's definitely less sweet, and chewier than the generic candy version (which I like). I've tried the Peach rings and the gummy worms. I'm definitely more of a chocolate person so I wouldn't buy it to eat myself regularly, but whenever I've bought this candy for a group hang out, it's always a hit. For the price and size, it's not a value buy.

It's quite expensive for the amount of candy that you get.

  • Tasty and technically sugar free but maybe not as healthy for you as they claim. Better than the alternative though! I think?

  • had high expectations for these, but did not love the product (tried the peach rings).

    Feedback

tasted too heavily of artificial sweetener and the texture was a bit off for me!

  • The flavor isn’t bad and the texture is good, but there’s an odd after taste! They’re a good alternative but not my favorite

    More unique options

  • I love the intention behind this but it’s really just meh. I’d rather just give in to my craving and have a bit of candy. They have various flavours and my favourite is the sweedish fish (they will get stuck in your teeth) but have the best taste.

    Feedback

Some bags are better than others - I’ve only tried 2 but the sweet fish are goos (minus really having to floss after) but the peach rings have a weird powder on them and don’t really curb your sweet tooth.

  • I don't like these honestly. I'm a candy finatic, so I was on the look out for something with a little less sugar to curb my cravings. I've tried several kinds (gummy worms, sour kids, sweet fish) and none of them taste good. The texture is chewy but powdery, they aren't sweet at all, and overall they just don't taste like candy at all. For the price and small amount you get, I can't really recommend these.

    Feedback

Bad texture, and way too expensive for the quality and quantity you get.

  • They are okay - dont taste the same as other sweets but i suppose that is the point. not my favorite

  • I'm not usually a big fan of Swedish Fish anyway, but I tried the Smart Sweets version and they were delicious! They tasted just like the real thing, but without all the added sugars.

  • A good low sugar option with cute packaging and fun choices. The texture is a little off - softer and stickier than flavors they may be trying to imitate. And sometimes has that sugar alternative after-taste.
