Simulate earns largely positive reviews for plant-based “Nuggs” that convincingly mimic fast‑food chicken nuggets—especially the Spicy variety—delivering crisp breading, satisfying texture, and strong crowd‑pleasing appeal across vegans and omnivores. Reviews also flag weaknesses: occasional dryness or blandness in the original flavor, inconsistent interior texture (spongy or too soft), highly processed ingredients, and reliance on air‑frying for best results, making it a great nostalgic fix but not universally loved.

The most realistic vegan chicken nuggets that fool and please meat lovers.

Availability
I bought a box of spicy Nuggs from my favorite bodega that stocks all of my favorite D2C brands. I was looking forward to try it as I'd seen the brand talked about online, but it was a HUGE disappointment. The texture was cardboard-like, there was no flavor and it felt very dry even with dipping sauces. I never waste food and am sad to share I threw out the ones I hadn't cooked.

They need to go back to the drawing board on their recipe and improve taste, texture and flavor. I also heard founder Ben Pasternak used content created by an IG influencer without proper payment or credit, which makes me want to look closer into the ethics of the company.

Tastes great! It's not quite perfect "chicken nugget" alternative in terms of flavor but its pretty darn close. Stick em in the air-fryer, hit em with a dash of seasoning salt, and binge away.

Nothing besides even more continous iteration to make it better! Y'all are so close to a perfect chicken nugget alternative!
I'm obsessed with Nuggs. I've been a pescatarian for over a decade, so I don't have a ton of fresh chicken nugget memories, but I've served these to meat eaters and they're so impressed. I love everything about Nuggs branding, and the level of crisp on a frozen nugget that you make in your oven is just incredible.

Honestly, nothing. To me, Nuggs are perfect.

As someone who doesn't eat chicken nuggets very often, this is always a great treat for me! I have never noticed a significant difference in texture when compared with standard chicken nuggets. I think this would be a great meal for kids! Plus, the packaging is funny lol

Tried both regular and spicy. Both were really good. I heated via toaster oven and came out nice and crispy. Tasted comparable to fast food chicken nugget.

Like many others, I was first drawn to Simulate by their epic branding. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was in my local grocery store. The texture and flavor are hard to knock, and they passed the picky kids test. My kids have turned their noses up at many other plant-based nuggets, so... bravo!
Loved these. Been working on eating more plant based and this was a tasty treat.

Price is a bit high.
These were a random pickup at the grocery store that I have since repurchased time and time again. If anyone was wondering these go great cut up in homemade famous bowls. The spicy ones are 10X better in my heavily biased opinion. As someone who regularly eats chicken you'll forget these aren't when you eat them.
I haven't tasted real chicken in 10 years but this taste like chicken to my memory. I put in salads or eat with hot sauce. The best!

Reasonably priced and tastes like the real thing.
These are my go to if I’m craving a vegan alternative for chicken nuggets. They taste really similar and have a nice inside texture. My favorite are the spicy flavor!
Feedback
Kinda pricy and I wish the outside was a little more crispy.
I wanted to love these for the concept but they're just not as good as some of the competition, like Nowadays.

Texture could use some attention

Big fan of these. Personally I’m not vegan or vegetarian as I like to enjoy meat occasionally however I do like exploring meatless options to limit the amount of meat that I eat. I had the spicy nuggets and thought the flavor was great. The texture of these was also good which I feel like some other competing brands lack in that area. They very so much remind me of McDonald’s nuggets however they clearly are a way better alternative. Highly recommend, even if you enjoy meat bc I think these taste great regardless.
Tbh, while I get the appeal, this product wasn't for me. I'm all about the idea and concept, but couldn't get into it
Ouuf maybe it’s just me but these were not for me. My hot take is that I don’t think meat should pretend to taste like meat. It isn’t meat!

Great for veg or vegans and super cool place on branding but the flavour itself was just meh!
Was not a huge fan of the texture or the taste for that matter. I admire what the brand is doing, but at the end of the day the best part was just the fried coating.

Taste, texture.

loved the regular dino nuggets + after popping in the air fryer for ~10 min, they were perfectly crispy.

I wish the packaging was a bit easier / conducive to closing + using again.

I was super excited for this brand. The texture and coating was a bit tough. I didn't end up purchasing them again.
