  • Sibeiho has brought a unique experience and flavors to Portland. Through a thoughtful approach, the owners have created a wonderful balance of using local ingredients with Singapore technique creating a wonderful dining experience that you can enjoy from them or make on your own with their sambal for purchase.

  • Sibeiho’s food is simply delicious and amazing. So much care and thoughts go into the preparations. I ship their products to my relatives on the east coast.

  • As a Singaporean, I can say that these sambals are the best that I have ever tasted! As good as any that can be found back in Singapore. Their commitment to quality and the best produce and ingredients shines through.

  • All of the Sibeiho sambals are great, but our favorite is the AF Chili Chunka. We eat it on so many different foods - from chicken to rice to vegetables to cheese and crackers, even on pizza. We also love the story of its co-founders, 2 Singaporean women who loved to cook and missed the flavors and food from home, so decided to start Sibeiho as a way to share that love with people in their adopted home of Portland, Oregon. Another thing to love about Sibeiho is that they use and support other small, local businesses, including area farmers. They are good people.

  • Authenticity - use of small-scale ingredient producers, adhering to tradition, and playing a public role in a region's history - is key in consumers' minds when selecting products and services to support. Such is Sibeiho. BOOMZ: sweet, exotic, a "dance on the tongue"; great for fish. OMG: a jolt of heat that explodes with a lovely lingering. For experienced chili-heads!! AF CHILI CHUNKA: tart, lemony, mild heat, mellow: wonderful for chicken! Holly Ong delivers on Singaporean tradition.

  • LOVE these Sibeiho sambals! The flavor nuances makes each one unique and so darn tasty. They take my cooking to the next level of goodness! A must for all.. enjoy!

  • Great food! 5/5 recommend the Boomz Sambal but you can't go wrong with any of their products.

  • Love this stuff. It offers such a unique complexity of flavors. I have a lot of “go to”magic culinary additions in my kitchen. But their sambal takes my creations in a very different direction than anything else I can reach for. It’s awesome.

  • I had an amazing authentic flavor of Singapore. Delicious and unforgettable!

    Very fresh and healthy.

  • Can't get enough of these condiments! If you want to add a spicy kick to roast chicken, rice, pasta, seafood, or a sandwich, Sibeho’s sambals are a must. Combine Sibeho’s AF Chili Chunka or Boomz with some mayo, and a regular tuna or turkey sub becomes extra special! These sambals have just the right amount of umami flavor but are not too salty or oily that they’ll overwhelm your dish. You can taste (and smell) the high quality of the ingredients that go into each jar. If you want a hint of Asian sweetness, OMG! and Boomz are good choices. If you want something tangy, my favorite is the AF Chili Chunka.

  • I am from Malaysia and share the love of a good sambal! Sibeiho’s sambal is as close as you can get to HOME! Absolutely LOVE IT and simply DELICIOUS!

  • Love love love Sibeiho’s sambals. We use them in everything from eggs, to marinades, spicy ketchup, noodles, and grilled cheese! We love that Sibeiho is a business with a conscious and supports other makers as well as refugee farms. Not to mention it is the only place to find foods from Singapore in PDX!

  • Hands down, best sambals I’ve had! These are all so versatile—you can use them as straight up toppings for various dishes (my fave is with any ssam) or use them to marinate. If you haven’t tried these yet, don’t miss out!

  • Originally, Sibeiho’s Sambals were an awesome surprise for me – and now they're a must-have staple! Can’t cook without ‘em. I keep stopping into the store and staying up with their website for special items, periodic take-out menus, recipes and inspiration. Seems like world travel in my own backyard. I often see their name associated with worthy community projects as well. Good vibes as well as good products.

Of course, would be cool to have a tiny restaurant-ish area, but then wouldn't be as much of a push for me to experiment. Perhaps a cookbook with their unique Singaporean/Local/ Fresh blend of ingredients and cooking philosophy? Love it when I find a short how-to video from them.
