Finally, an Aluminum-Free Deodorant That Actually Works! I've tried so many cleaner deodorants, and finding one that actually keeps me smelling fresh, smells wonderful itself, and doesn't end up all over my clothes has been surprisingly difficult. Enter Salt & Stone Extra Strength Deodorant in Santal & Vetiver. Finally! The scent is gorgeous, warm, woodsy, and sophisticated, almost like wearing a beautiful fragrance rather than deodorant. But what really won me over is that it actually works, without leaving that annoying white residue all over my clothes. As a health coach and someone who reads ingredient labels obsessively, I also like that it's aluminum-free and formulated with magnesium for odor control, niacinamide to support the skin barrier, and spirulina for skin conditioning. It's not a completely fragrance-free or minimalist formula, but for me, finding a balance between ingredients I feel good about and a product that genuinely performs is what matters. At $20, it's more than I'd typically expect to spend on deodorant, but finding one I actually want to use every day makes it worth it!

When I went to Sephoria, inside the gift bags there was a mini salt & stone deodorant that I was super excited to try out. I’ve been having a very hard time finding the right deodorant for myself which doesn’t cause me extra sweatiness more than I already have. I started to think my armpits were smelling more with other deodorants. As soon as I switched to this deodorant I was once happy again and more confident that I would not sweat with this one or have my armpits smell.

From the moment I tried it, the scent really grabbed me, it’s a woodsy mix of sandalwood and vetiver with a clean, sophisticated vibe, and I found myself actually enjoying how my under-arms smelled rather than hiding them. Reviewers who like it call it “one of the best natural deodorants” and praise how smooth it goes on and the “luxury” feel. The texture is balm-stick (or gel in some variants) that glides rather than tugs, and the brand’s focus on clean ingredients, aluminum-free, with seaweed extracts and probiotics, is a solid plus. If you’re looking for a stylish, clean-ingredient deodorant with a standout scent and actually decent performance for everyday use, then this is a strong pick. If you’re someone who needs extreme sweat control or has very intense workouts every day, you might want to pair it with something more heavy-duty for those times.

I have been using this deodorant for about 8 months now. I love it and want to give it 5 stars; however, the packaging could be improved. Because of the consistency of the product, it can get rather messy on the sides, even when you twist the deodorant all the way down. This can result in some loss of product and/or a mess in a bag if you're taking it on the go. Overall, I keep repurchasing. The smell, the product's effectiveness, and the ingredients win out, even if the price point is hard to stomach sometimes.

I use all these deodorants in rotation and absolutely love the fragrance and its performance. If you're someone who needs more odour control, then definitely go for the extra strength. Why do I use this product? because it is completely free from aluminium, alcohol, parabens, and phthalates - meaning you do not build that dark underarm from prolonged use of toxic deodorant.

I absolutely love this product. For me, it is super effective and a total game changer. For reference, I live in Texas and with the heat, doing any physical activity, especially outside can feel icky. It does what it says, leaves no residue on my clothes and it smells subtle but sophisticated. What's not to like?

Once I tried this deodorant I never went back to traditional deodorants. Not only do these have amazingly natural, clean, ingredients, but the fragrances are PERFECTION. I have put everyone I love on these. Hot tip: They make excellent stocking stuffers bc everyone uses deodorant (or at least they should!).
