Recess is a well-received brand for its unique and calming beverages with mixed reviews on flavor and efficacy. Some customers commended the brand for its unique flavors, calming effects, and stylish packaging. However, it was also noted that the brand's products are quite expensive and some consumers didn't quite enjoy some of the flavors. There were also a few who didn't feel the supposed calming effects of the drink.

I love discovering new sparkling water and if they have any extra benefits, it's a cherry on top. I tried the "calm, cool, collected" flavor. I don't normally like added sugar but it was a tasty sweet treat and something I would occasionally indulge in. I am waiting to see if I truly feel calm but the adaptogens can only help, not hurt.

the flavors are slightly hit or miss. blackberry chai is my favorite. i genuinely feel the calming effects, i attribute it to the L-theanine. drinking one of these after work is so much better than a glass of wine. i'd give anything to find these in stores near me! ordering soda online just feels over the top.

I have no interest in dry January and I barely drink as it is. All that said, the mocktails from Recess are good any month of the year and in any setting. The mule and the marg stand out for me. I will definitely be adding these to my regular beverage rotation.

I love the Recess brand—the packaging is eye-catching and stylish. The taste, however, takes some getting used to. Despite this, I'm eager to keep trying it because everything else about it is fantastic.

I’ve been trying to cut down on drinking for the last couple of months and have found these to be a great alternative. I love the flavor of the lime marg and Paloma. The reason for 4 stars is because I don’t know that I feel the full effects that they talk about people having from these drinks - I feel a bit calmer (maybe?) but it’s not significant.

I picked up the Raspberry Lemon at Target on a whim before heading out to a day long lacrosse tournament in 100 degree heat and no shade.   I don’t know if it was the magnesium and L-theanine or what but I managed to not lose my cool when one of our girls got heat exhaustion and we had to call 911.  The flavor was good for a sparkling water too.  I totally want to try the other flavors and in the evening to see how it actually helps me unwind without a cluster to deal with! 🤣

I love recess mood - they are amazing! I think the magnesium mix is really great and the flavors are delightful. I don't love their mocktails - I think the flavors are a bit off. 

Recess drinks are a bit of a letdown with their lackluster flavors. I was hoping for more variety and excitement, especially cuz I see ads everywhere, but they fell flat in that department.

I wanted to like this, but I can’t see what the hype is all about. Didn’t have much flavor and had no effect on me at all.  Will not purchase again for these reasons. 

I've been working on reducing my alcohol intake over the past year, and Recess mocktails have become my go-to. Sipping on these has transformed my social drinking habits, and I couldn't recommend them more. The Paloma alternative is a must-try for anyone looking to cut down on alcoholic beverages. 11/10 

Flavor was okay, I got blood orange and did not really think it was mindblowing. As for the effects, I dont know if it was placebo, but I did feel "lighter" while drinking it.

Maybe it's placebo but I think these actually work? I first tried one of these during a work day, and I genuinely felt less stressed and more calm. 

I love their branding and aesthetic — I want to be seen holding this, ya know? Besides the look, the taste is 10/10. I'm a sucker for a flavored sparkling water. Blood orange is my favorite. 

My only complaint is the price. I think I paid $8 for one of these at a bodega in NYC. I'm sorry but that's INSANE. I didn't realize it was so expensive until I was checking out so I had to go through with my purchase — after trying it, I wasn't necessarily mad about my purchase, though. The price is the only thing keeping me from being a frequent repeat customer. Instead, I use Recess as more of a delicacy — only buying it on special occasions when I'm having a night in and want to feel extra relaxed.  

Recently tried one of these before bed. Strawberry rose flavor actually smelled stronger than the taste. Smells like a lollipop, no hint of rose.
It was good and calming, not a buzz thing.
$3.29 a can so I won't likely buy again 

Recess has helped me immensely during sobriety! Every flavor I have tried is delicious and refreshing. My favorite is the strawberry rose.  I do wish it was a little cheaper, and thats why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Thank you Recess! 

I absolutely loved the packaging of Recess and it drew me in! The product tasted nice and I will definitely purchase again! 

Some of my favorite flavors & a great alternative for a soda not too sugary or sweet.
