Rains Reviews

4.1

Rains earns praise in reviews for stylish, genuinely waterproof outerwear that keeps wearers dry in everyday rain and looks sleek and minimal, but it isn’t consistently breathable and can struggle in prolonged downpours. Reviews also note durable, lightweight coats and functional bags, alongside weaknesses like shoulder seam seepage, material scuffing/blooming, limited pockets or structure in some backpacks, and occasional sizing quirks.

  • I love everything I have gotten from rains. I have a long thin puffer which is perfect for in between weather and that I frequently get comments on. I also have a rain jacket which is so handy and I get a lot more wear out of then I thought I would. I also just invested in a puffer vest. Overall I find the designs to be good, the quality of worth the price also.

  • I am a chronic overpacker: any available space will be filled up. I have one of those useful hanging wash bags that I can fill with kitchen sink, I bought the attached in an attempt to curb the problem. I wanted the navy or grey, but they were out of stock. I’m pleased with it: it fits a decent amount, and passed the leak-prevention test on its maiden voyage. I had an oily lotion for dry skin that leaked, but was contained. Four stars: good product, hard to clean.

  • I love that this backpack is very practical but also super cute and chic. It’s also waterproof which is another plus for the brand. I can fit a lot into the bag and there are a lot of pockets etc. to fit a lot.

  • I live in Denmark. So let’s face it, I have a genuine need for a waterproof jacket 🌧. Having said that I don’t want to look like I’m setting out on a multi-day mountain expedition every time I leave the apartment to buy some milk. This is where my Rains jacket comes in. It fits the bill perfectly. It’s stylish, and somehow goes with almost any outfit. It’s also surprisingly compact and can be scrunched up and packed into the bottom of my backpack. The other feature I love is that it’s fastened with buttons. This makes it ideal for cycling as I can loosen the bottom, or the top depending on the weather. I’ve owned it for 4 years now and it still looks like new. It’s the perfect rain jacket for Copenhagen’s year-round temperamental weather.

It’s not the most waterproof in monsoon style rain, or if it rains for hours. Having said that, my Rains jacket always gets me where I need to go relatively dry. Also, in the summer it’s not the most breathable - so I have another waterproof jacket for hiking.
