  • Convenient refill subscription
  • Weak cleaning vibration
  • Fragile head connection
  • Hard-to-remove battery parts
  • Bristles wear or feel harsh

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • Love my quip toothbrush and flosser! Quip has been my consistent go-to for all of my oral care needs for a few years now. I've had issues with a few of my brushes in the past, but customer service has always been great and super helpful!

  • I've never been a big fan of electric toothbrushes as I have sensory issues and I don't like the feeling of vibrating in my mouth. This toothbrush is an exception, and I actually don't mind the feeling of this brush. It's easy to use, easy to change the heads out, and is relatively inexpensive. I do get cleanings twice yearly, and my hygienist says this brush has been doing a great job!

  • The toothbrush itself and replacement subscription was gifted to me for a year. I liked that the product looked modern, was easy to carry, and that each replacement came with both a head and even a battery. The product felt very effective since the battery would last the toothbrush a very long time, even to the point where I started to collect the extra batteries since they wouldn't run out by the next time the replacement came. I also found that its vibration was strong enough to act as a great toothbrush for traveling or short stays away from home. I would only generally use this product for that reason -- for normal, everyday brushing, I would use an Oral-B toothbrush.

  • Really helpful! I appreciate the clarity of a timed brush. I don't need to worry if I am under or over brushing.

  • I loved Quip when they first came out and happily used my Quip toothbrush for a few years. I really like the slick design and all the matching products. However, I was disappointed by loyalty program in the app, the "prizes" were really just designed to get you to spend more money. I also didn't like how gunked up the brush handle would get, and once you take a brush head off, you can't put it back on.

  • I’ve loved quip for years. I think I got my first one around the 4 years ago. The world has changed so much since then and my toothbrush game has too. I used to settle for a basic toothbrush but then my life picked up the piece, I needed something that could help me build good habits in good time. I didn’t grow up consistently going to the dentist, or brushing at night, but with quip I can’t help but include it in my daily rhythms.

  • This toothbrush looks very nice but it is not endorsed by dentists and if you're used to sonicare/oral-b and use this you will get cavities... Might be good for a trip but I don't recommend as a daily toothbrush. It is not nearly as powerful as sonicare or oral-b electric toothbrushes. If you are really into oral hygiene - stay away.

  • I feel like this does a good job of cleaning mu teeth.

  • Own one. Great but not always easy to find replacement toothbrush head

  • I love using these products I have the tooth brush and floss pick. I love both except the floss pick doesn’t not hold the floss well enough it comes loss after a couple teeth.

  • Cleans my teeth thoroughly and is so chic and light. Perfect to bring while travelling. I always carry one in my bag to work.

  • My favorite toothbrush! Most electric toothbrushes I’ve seen are insanely expensive all for the same thing, this one is affordable and great I love it so much.

  • Toothbrush works for what you need. It’s not an impressive electric toothbrush but for the price, you can’t beat it. The subscription is also nice as it comes with batteries and you can add on toothpaste for pretty cheap. I actually like their toothpaste better than my normal stuff. I’ve got sensitive gums and they didn’t break out with it so that’s a good sign.

  • I've been using quip for years, and after about 4 years, my old battery powered one just... stopped working. That's fine! That happens! It's a little motor, and motor's wear out. I could have reached out to them and they would have replaced it, but I figured it was a good time to upgrade to the new rechargeable one. The amount of battery waste was a lot and I didn't want to have to throw out batteries every few months. What a mistake! After the first charge, my brand new rechargeable suitcase stopped working. Just would stop charging. I reached out to customer service and they sent a replacement. Great! And then! It happened again! Now, it would charge, the light would stay on for hours designating that it was charged, but I could not get it to turn on. I reached out, heard back like a week later, and haven't responded, mostly because this seems crazy, and I'm beginning to doubt myself that it's the toothbrush and not user error. But I've tried to many times to charge it, different ways of hitting the button, and no luck getting it to work. So now, I've been using an overly expensive mechanical toothbrush for months while I get the courage to buy a different electric brush. While I love the idea, and the 3 month refills are convenient and a great way to get me to actually change my toothbrush head every 3 months. But for the price it's basically a glorified mechanical toothbrush, even considering before I got a few lemons in a row.

  • Not all of their products are great. I'm not a big fan of the floss and middling on the gum. But I do like the quality of the toothbrushes and the timing mechanism as I've always had a hard time brushing long enough. I also like that I can schedule shipments of new brush heads and toothpaste.

  • Quip is a nice product--I used one of their toothbrushes for almost a year--it cleans very well, and is a good way to make sure you don't rush through your brush, I stopped using them because it was not eco friendly, but now that they offer a rechargeable, I may consider using them again. I really did like the product. I wish there was a way to make the new brush head they send every 3 months out of a more eco-friendly material, but being exposed to so much moisture, I don't see that happening. Guess throwing out 15% of the brush is better than a whole toothbrush every 3 months.

  • Cute product but I've tried it two different times now and it always seems to malfunction. First with customer service- I didn't get sent my order and they didn't send me a new one and then once I did receive it, it would just go off at random times, including the middle of the night and wake me up. A actually really wanted to like this product but I threw it out after 1 month.

  • These primarily are good in one area: as electric travel toothbrushes. They're compact, and travel-friendly. More so than anything produced by Sonicare or Oral B. They take AA batteries, which means you can take them with you anywhere without worrying about having a charger, or plugging them in. As an actual toothbrush though, they leave a lot to be desired. Chiefly, there isn't enough vibration in the motor, and it doesn't leave the teeth feeling as clean as most other electronic toothbrushes.

  • The design is beautiful but I was unimpressed when I tried switching from my Philips Sonicare toothbrush to a Quip. The subscription was convenient although changing the battery can be challenging. It's now my designated travel toothbrush instead of my everyday toothbrush.
