    quip

I've been using quip for years, and after about 4 years, my old battery powered one just... stopped working. That's fine! That happens! It's a little motor, and motor's wear out. I could have reached out to them and they would have replaced it, but I figured it was a good time to upgrade to the new rechargeable one. The amount of battery waste was a lot and I didn't want to have to throw out batteries every few months. What a mistake! After the first charge, my brand new rechargeable suitcase stopped working. Just would stop charging. I reached out to customer service and they sent a replacement. Great! And then! It happened again! Now, it would charge, the light would stay on for hours designating that it was charged, but I could not get it to turn on. I reached out, heard back like a week later, and haven't responded, mostly because this seems crazy, and I'm beginning to doubt myself that it's the toothbrush and not user error. But I've tried to many times to charge it, different ways of hitting the button, and no luck getting it to work. So now, I've been using an overly expensive mechanical toothbrush for months while I get the courage to buy a different electric brush. While I love the idea, and the 3 month refills are convenient and a great way to get me to actually change my toothbrush head every 3 months. But for the price it's basically a glorified mechanical toothbrush, even considering before I got a few lemons in a row.

    Pacific Tote Company

I love my Pacific Tote Co bags! I've got a few sizes over the years, and they are by far sturdier than their LL Bean counterparts. I've used them as daily work tote bags for years and love the bigger zippered version for weekends away and my plane tote bag. The tall skinny size is great for a 13/14" laptop + whatever you need for work, and the larger sizes will fit SO much more. The colors have faded with washing when I, ugh spilled chocolate mouse in one of mine. But, I had to use a lot of oxyclean to get the stain out, so it seemed like a fair amount of fading given the washing and scrubbing had to give it. Yes, I'd like to acknowledge that they're expensive, but if design, grabbing a colorful bag will brighten your day, you can swing it, AND you want to use it for years and years, it's 100% worth it.
