  • Convenient refill subscription
  • Weak cleaning vibration

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • Electric toothbrush broke multiple times.

  • Been using my quip for awhile and really no complaints! It's simple, works well, I like the subscription service as well. My only complaint is that I wish the brush head was either bigger or maybe had a little more to it. Sometimes it just feels like a normal toothbrush from the pharmacy could do more in terms of like how the bristles are laid out. Oh i do love the cover it comes with for traveling!!

  • Got this as part of a Bespoke Post club shipment. Cannot say it performed any better than a normal toothbrush.

  • Quip is a good option for travel when you stil want an electric toothbrush. But I still prefer my traditional electric toothbrush.

  • The packaging and quality of the product is great, but ultimately I decided on an electric toothbrush with rotation instead of simply vibration.

  • I had a quip for 3 years before caving and buying a sonicare toothbrush instead. It did a decent job but overall found myself using as more of a standard toothbrush vs turning on the electric function. Great in a pinch, but would recommend other options especially as there are great deals from wholesale shops!

  • I love the packaging and design, minimal and convenient. However, the bristles weren’t that great for me and I felt like my teeth weren’t being cleaned. This product just wasn’t for me when I was using it which was in 2017/2018.

  • I like the idea of it - sends toothbrush heads automatically, can attach to your mirror to clear up counter space. But it's just the arm that vibrates - doesn't really help with the tooth brushing itself. My dentist recommended I switch to one where the toothbrush head itself vibrates

  • Loved the price point and quality of this brush. I wish I could just order the brush heads in bulk and not deal with the subscription. Plus is that the subscription reminds me to replace the brush

  • I like the way they engineered the toothbrush except I do not like the brush head. It doesn’t feel like it cleans as well is the smaller brush heads such as sonic or Phillips.

  • I absolutely love that their packaging was all recyclable! I bought a quip toothbrush because my dentist recommended getting an electric toothbrush, and while it vibrates, the bristles of the brush don’t move at all, so you still have to use it almost like a non-electric toothbrush. That’s the only reason I gave this brush three stars and not five.Good quality product!

  • good customer service despite products not being built to last. I've had to replace my brush twice now (at no cost to me) but the process of doing so is a bit time consuming. love the sleek look of the brushes

  • First it was a great idea, but lousy engineering. The head and neck should be angled more where the bristles angle inward more like the mouth. It take rocket science to try and replace the battery. Its too hard to a normal person to pull it apart to replace. Needs to be easier. They also need a smaller bristle head, 70 % of all mouths are smaller and even Sonicare has a smaller head, it cleans better. When they make these changes then ill review it again.

  • Not as powerful as real electric tooth brush but makes for a great travel brush due to compact design and battery.

  • Good product but they charge you even after you cancel your subscription

  • Pretty good product and quality. We know friends who have had shopping issues but we are satisfied.

  • Ive had the same quip for 5+ years. Although I do replace the heads every few months. It's become my go to travel tooth brush. I love the 2 minute timer with 30 sec intervals for each corner of your mouth. Its well designed and sturdy. Not giving 5 stars because, other electric tooth brushes bring more power and a cleaner feel.

  • Quip is nicely portable and looks cute but vibrating electric toothbrushes are less effective than oscillating, so for the money, you’re better off getting an oscillating brush.

  • Purchased and used for a while--I had the subscription and everything. I noticed my mouth didn't feel as clean. Stopped using it after my dentist recommended I stop. I switched to a new brand (not sponsored or affiliated with my dentist or anyone) and had noticeably improved dental hygeine.
