quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • I used quip a ton when I was traveling a lot for work. It's nice because it's compact, sleek and super light. The downsides are that it's not like a true electric toothbrush like a oral-b or sonic where it does the work and you are just moving it from tooth to tooth. It's more like a regular toothbrush that has a slight vibration. The thing I hated most was that there wasn't a great way to cover the bristles to make it sanitary with all the travel. I felt like it was always getting gross and had to constantly change the head out. That's fine when you have a lot of replacements but it tends to add up.

  • A lovely toothbrush in terms of aesthetic but after that allure went away, I wanted a more powerful toothbrush that could actually remove plaque. I felt like the vibrations from this toothbrush gave more of a tickle than an actual cleaning.

  • Great idea and design, but par experience and product. I find my traditional electric tooth brush cleans much easier, however this one has a much cleaner design.

  • Quip is a good travel toothbrush. . I like to limit my use of single-use items so I like that you can change out the brush head. Although finding replacement brush can be hard in some places and other brand brush heads don’t work.

  • I bought one of these for my son, hoping for a lower cost alternative to the sonic care. His dentist had recommended an electric toothbrush to help decrease the plaque build up on his teeth. The package was easy to open and the toothbrush had a fun look that appealed to my son. They had an easy autoship program to get your replacement brush heads and batteries which was cool and convenient. The vibration was gentle. Unfortunately at the next two cleanings there was not a noticeable difference in my son’s plaque build up, so we switched him to the soniccare toothbrush.

  • Pretty decent for the price. Love how the kit comes complete with everything you need and comes on a convenient schedule. The only downside is it's a subscription and if you forget to cancel it can be a pain.

  • I have been using quip since 2017 and I love it. Super easy to use, I love that they released a soft brush on subscription. I don't even think about it and then boom new brush head in my mail. Feels super premium and battery lasts very long. I like the design of the floss traveler but it does get kinda annoying to cut new pieces when flossing. Overall 5 stars.

  • Great on the design front, lacking a bit on the power. Love how long the battery lasts. Easy to travel with!

  • I was excited to try out a quip, so I purchased one from target. The overall look of it is really nice. But after having it for a while I found there is nothing entirely special about it other than the vibration that alerts you to change sides where you are brushing. It was also really hard to remove the head to exchange it and hard to change the battery to.

  • I started using a quip toothbrush in 2018, and I’ve never looked back! The toothbrush itself is attractive and high quality. I love that refills automatically process on a set schedule so that you never have to think about ordering a new brush head. Highly recommend!

  • I've been using Quip's mouth care products for a while now, and I have mixed feelings about them. On the positive side, Quip's approach of combining dental expertise with design sensibility is quite interesting. The electric toothbrush is sleek and minimalistic, and the subscription model for brush head and floss refills is convenient. I appreciate the effort they put into making oral care more accessible and stylish. However, when it comes to performance, I've found the electric toothbrush to be decent but not exceptional. It does the job. Another downside is the cost. While the initial purchase price may seem reasonable, the ongoing cost of refill heads and floss can add up, making it a bit more expensive in the long run compared to other oral care options. Overall, Quip's products are stylish and have their merits, but they don't quite reach the level of performance and value that I had hoped for. If you prioritize design and convenience in your oral care routine, Quip may be worth a try. However, if you're looking for top-tier performance or more budget-friendly options, you might want to explore other brands.

  • I think it's an okay toothbrush, but you're much better just buying a Phillips or another better brand. This comes with a whole package, and refillable subscription. If that works for your lifestyle, cool, but I didn't think the electric quality actually cleaned my teeth. I use Phillips now - yes it was way more expensive, but for something I use every day, I get a better clean and have healthier teeth.

  • 4 stars because it’s a travel essential and a great product for a good price 1- star because I’ve had to replace the charger now twice

  • Always on a quest to improve my kids brushing habits. There’s nothing wrong with these toothbrushes but I didn’t notice enough of a difference in my kids oral hygiene to keep investing in their pricey toothbrush refills. My daughter tends to chew on her brushes so we just went through too many too quickly.

  • I have had my quip for about 6 years now and I will never go back! Ever since I started using it my dentist always says my teeth look great when I go in for my cleaning. Not to mention I love the design and the wall mount so I have less items on my bathroom counter! The recurring refills always make it extremely convenient as I don't even have to think about when I am due for a swap. As soon as they arrive I just change it out which keeps you consistent with ensuring you are actually changing out your brushes as often as you should!

  • sleek design, easy to travel with, and has a great program to get replacement batteries and brush heads. I just wish they would come out with a version that had a stronger electric brush for better cleaning. I only used this toothbrush when I was traveling but it didn't replace my permanent one.

  • I have for my kids, I like that it is less waste to change the heads. Seem to work well. Me and downside is the cost of replacement had seems high.

  • we love quip! my husband and I have used them for years, the bristles are so soft. 10/10

  • Considering the high price for the toothbrushes, I was expecting more in terms of effectiveness, ergonomics, and/or aesthetics. I think there are better options out there with the same or better effectiveness at a significantly more wallet-friendly price point.

  • I've been using quip for awhile now, and I've generally had a good experience with these toothbrushes. Plus, these are more affordable than a Philips or Oral B.
