My experience on the website and with the company itself is great. I did not find the conditioner near conditioning enough, and the shampoo was good but not great. I would, however; recommend their dry shampoo. That is fantastic. Does not leave build up, isn’t overly fragranced, in nice packaging.

I had a formula made based on my quiz results and found it didn’t work for me at all. Their customer service was great, and were able to get me a reformulation based on what didn’t work with the first batch. They sent the new formula and it was okay, but I found that I had drug store products that worked better for my hair and gave me the results I was looking for much more than the Prose products. Maybe I’ll try again in the future but at this point, the products weren’t worth the money when I can get comparable products or products that work better for my specific hair elsewhere.

Nice and custom, but left my hair heavier and oilier than standard Walgreens brand shampoos.

Unfortunately, this product was standard at best. For the ingredients provided and quality of product it does seem a bit overpriced.

I have curly hair and use their curl cream and conditioner. The curly cream is a bit too light for me as I'd prefer a stronger hold like my Ouai curl cream, which has a thicker texture. Also I had to pause my subscription because they sent refills faster than I was using the product. However, I really like the way the bottles look. And the curl cream has a great smell. In humid summers in New York, I use the Prose curl cream WITH my thicker curl creams too.

I loved the personalized experience of crafting my own ~ hair potion ~ but was ultimately left disappointed by the lackluster results on my hair. It borderline felt like I just got out of a heavily chlorinated pool, so no, do not waste your money on this.

I tried Prose (shampoo, conditioner, pre-shampoo scalp treatment) for over a year. the sign up process is easy and almost fun, you fill out a survey about your hair to create a custom formula based on what your hair is like currently, what you would like to improve, and environmental factors. The packaging is beautiful and customized to you with your name and looks great in your shower. The scent options are also great and you can choose different ones each refill without changing your base formula. However, since using prose I didn’t notice any significant change in my hair or scalp and for that reason I don’t think it is worth the money. It’s convenient that it ships directly to you, but I also didn’t like that they would ship the next bottles without giving a notification. I had a lot of product left and would get a new shipment without being ready for it. I ended up cancelling my subscription about a month ago because the price just wasn’t worth it to me.

I tried Prose shampoo and conditioner after taking a survey to see what ingredients would work best for me. The shampoo was alright, it didn't foam like other shampoos I used in the past andt he bottles are small, so I was using less than what I typically use. I did love the conditioner. My specific conditioner had rice water, which I believe did the trick.

Prose is why I don’t trust podcast ads. Hosts from one of my favorite podcasts would rave about this (sponsor) and I fell for it. Good concept, I liked the in-depth quiz to get “my formula” but the shampoo felt cheap. It smelled good but left my hair feeling limp and greasy. I did like the custom name printing on the product.

I love that CBD is low key included in my blend. So far I love my products. Smells amazing.

I had been curious about Prose for a couple of years and finally invested. I think custom is a bit of a stretch as it seems they produce a few stock formulas. I wasn't wowed by performance and definitely didn't feel like Prose fit my hair needs more than other hair products I've used.

I started out really liking Prose. My hair felt fresh, my curls were bouncy and the smell was great. As time went by, though, it’s almost like my hair got used to it, and I found it didn’t give it enough of a boost to justify the price.

Has made my hair shinier and easier to manage. Love being able to customize my formulation and scent.

The scent is amazing.

The products are pretty good - I liked the hair mask they gave me a lot - and my hair looked nice after using it. However, I didn't really see that much of a difference between their custom formula vs a regular hair care brand without the customisation.

This shampoo is the best I've ever used. It let me go from washing my hair every day to every other day.

I loved the idea behind the products, the packaging, and the fragrances were great. However I'm not sure it did more than or a better job than other, less expensive shampoos/conditioners. It helped a little with frizz, but otherwise I found I needed to wash my hair more often and could never get it totally clean. I used it for a couple of years and tried a couple of different formulas, but will swap to a different, less expensive option.

I've been using their products for three or four months now and if anything, my hair is less bouncy than it used to be. The scent is not great and also not as strong as I would like. Extremely expensive for what the "results" are. I'm going back to drugstore products.

Absolutely love this product. I have been a subscriber for the last couple of years and have really enjoyed the customized products. I do wish some of the seasonal scents were permanent options because they smell so great.
