4.2

Phyla reviews indicate that the brand is effective for many users seeking acne relief. Phyla is praised for its ability to clear acne, particularly cystic and hormonal types, and many users appreciate its non-harsh approach to skincare. However, some users experience issues such as prolonged shipping times and the need for consistent use for best results. While Phyla works well for many, the brand's high price and controversial marketing claims may be a concern for potential buyers.

  • I just finished my first month with Phyla (serum only). At first, I noticed an immediate difference. My skin healed from blemishes faster and the more surface level ones decreased dramatically. I like the twist top on the dispenser. The issue I have is remembering to use it twice a day instead of once like the other Rx cream I've used for years, and if I forget, I'll break out. Phyla did help me incorporate it into my routine with my other cream, which was nice, so if you're concerned about being able to use your other skincare products, just reach out to them. They're helpful! I'll update this review after I get further into treatment.

  • This completely saved my skin from hormonal acne breakouts. Typically before start of cycle I get it really bad but since starting this a few months ago it’s basically subsided even during PMS. GET IT

  • This product is the longest I’ve ever had a skin care subscription because the three products really do work. You do have to be consistent and it can be tough when you run out of the solution before the next shipment arrives but it kicks butt. Would just like less moisturizer and more of that face wash and main solution.

  • As someone who has dealt with hormonal acne on and off, I've tried everything under the sun: from OTC to prescription, from topical to oral medications. To be clear, I've never had severe acne, but at certain points, I would say it has gotten up to moderate. Nothing has worked quite like this - even the prescription medications. I still get one or two new spots here and there, but the frequency of new pimples has decreased by a lot. It's pretty incredible that it's an OTC topical solution. I have been using Phyla for about 3 weeks now and plan to continue to see if these results stay consistent or improve. The issues that I have are price point, packaging, and gel. The packaging seems like a huge waste of plastic. I understand the need to market as premium/luxe when you are an OTC solution, but there has to be a better way than this. You would even think that given the size of the packaging, there might be a refillable aspect, but there isn't. The size and weight of it also make it difficult to travel with, which seems like an oversight when it is imperative to apply twice daily. The price is also prohibitive for most, although considering it is patented biotech, I understand that a company needs to recoup its research costs. Finally, the carrier gel pills under most of my skincare products (including sunscreens), which is very annoying during the daytime when I need to apply sunscreen. While gel is very popular for acne products, it would be interesting to offer a cream alternative with the same efficacy. As someone with a dry skin type, I know I would appreciate this.
