Reviews mention

  • Engaging, charismatic instructors
  • Extensive, evolving class library
  • Sturdy, smooth ride hardware
  • Motivating, community-driven platform
  • Uncomfortable, rigid bike saddle
  • High, recurring membership fees
  • Occasional clunky software updates
  • Inconsistent hardware longevity

Peloton wins praise in reviews for motivating, studio-caliber classes, engaging instructors (Cody Rigsby, Alex Toussaint, Robin Arzón), seamless app breadth, and sturdy, smooth hardware that makes at‑home workouts convenient and habit‑forming; however, recurring membership costs are widely criticized, the bike seat comfort and occasional hardware maintenance issues recur, and some find the experience overrated or less effective than live classes. Overall, Peloton is good if you’ll use it consistently and value variety and community, but buyers should weigh subscription demands and ergonomics.

  • I bought the treadmill last year after trying my friend’s, but she had the OLD one, which was wider and MUCH more well built. The one I got feels rickety as hell, no good shocks because it’s got a low quality crappy running strip and the membership is stupid expensive. Live and learn, but definitely wouldn’t recommend. The instructors are good, especially Jess Sims, but they’re such a ripoff.

  • Really in love with the full subscription service which offers a large variety of classes including yoga, strength, outdoor running, etc. I only have the bike and even bought my sister one!

  • I don't like the layoff process I heard from former employees but I like the product itself. The upper management could treat employees better and offer job security to the loyal employees. Exercising is great for health and the product provides that.

  • This platform has changed my life. Started as an app user and now own both the bike and tread. The community is one of a kind and the trainers are exceptional. I finally look forward to exercising daily!

  • I recently tried out Peloton and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. While the bike itself is sturdy and well-made, the classes and instructors were lacking. I found the workouts to be repetitive and not very challenging, and the instructors seemed to lack energy and enthusiasm. Additionally, the price point is quite high, making it difficult to justify the investment. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Peloton unless you're really committed to a daily workout routine.

  • great idea but cant justify the price. i dont have the time and find it a chore at times.

  • Too expensive of a subscription, but the experience is great. Could be easier to manage profile when having issues. Should all be done at the bike/treadmill. Very cool brand and loved having it!

  • I bought a bike in February 2020 right before the world shut down. I was so grateful to have this in my home going through covid. I’m someone who needs to be pushed at the gym so I would always take classes as working out on my own didn’t get me very far. I find having the instructor on the screen to be very helpful. I also like to ride with friends and that really pushes me to pedal harder because I don’t want to lose lol

  • Great customer service, a good quality product, and the classes are vast and great for every level of cyclist. Super slow shipping though

  • I think Peloton has had an unfair mixed reputation. I joined in January 2020 as an app subscriber and I’ve been hooked since. While I don’t own any of their hardware, I must say that when I’ve tried their bikes at hotels that it is a superior experience. Speaking strictly as an app user, I have loved getting to dabble in yoga, Pilates, and strength classes. Their attitude toward fitness is often inclusive and it doesn’t feel aggressive in the way that some fitness brands can be. Favorite instructors of mine are Callie, Becs, Emma, and Cody. While I’m not pleased to hear about upcoming pricing plan changes, I’ll still be a loyal subscriber in some form.

  • Yes, it's expensive - let's get that out of the way! The routine you form and the virtual company you get is priceless! It truly becomes a part of your life. Perfect especially in the cold months when you don't fancy leaving to go to they gym!

  • I personally don’t have a peloton bike but I have the app and I absolutely love it! There are so many different workouts for all ages and different levels of intensity. I use the app about 5 days a week.

  • I honestly love the classes but the price point makes it very difficult! The price to purchase a bike or treadmill, plus paying over $40 a month to stream the classes is a lot when the price of everything has gone up so drastically. The classes are motivating and fun but you have to be very committed to make it worth the money!

  • I got my peloton during the pandemic and although I don't regret it, I definitely use it less now than I did when I first got it. But, I still like it for the same reasons I did when I bought it. It's compact and convenient and definitely helped me work out more. Although not all of the instructors are great it's easy to find 1 or 2 you really like. If you think you'll actually use it, I'd recommend. But if you're hoping getting it will force you to work out more, it might not.

  • It took several deliveries over 3.5 months to finally get a working tread, but now that I have it, I’m obsessed. Absolutely love the classes, the scenic runs, the music, the motivation and the community!
