OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: many report visibly stronger, smoother, shinier hair—especially with No.3 Hair Perfector, No.6 Bond Smoother, No.7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo—while others experience dryness, heaviness, greasiness, or no lasting improvement. Reviews suggest it can work brilliantly for bleached/blonde or damaged hair but may weigh down fine hair and effects may fade without consistent use; some users also mention fragrance concerns and allegations of hair loss or irritation.

Love the way this makes my hair feel. My hairstylist first used this product on my thick, coloured hair, and I found that it made my hair smooth, not weighed down, and it smells amazing!
I've used the entire Olaplex lineup (#0-6) as directed on my bleached/dry/strong hair and I have not noticed any bond improvement.
Everyone raves about Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, but it did nothing for me. Using No5 Bond Maintenance shampoo did nothing for me. I think for a regular drugstore shampoo and conditioner set I would probably be okay to use it, but not at this premium price.
I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, purple shampoo, no. 3 hair repair and bonding oil. I definitely bought into the hype and read too many reviews before purchasing. I find that their products leave my hair extremely dry. The three stars are solely for the bonding oil. I finished all products trying to make it all work and get my money's worth but unfortunately it made my hair problems worse leaving my hair more dry and brittle. It may just not be suited for my wavy hair type..
I’m someone with short and a lot of thin hair. I personally did not enjoy this as it made my hair greasy and would have to wash my hair more frequently. But it is very hydrating. If you are someone with thick, long hair this may work better for you.
My hair feels healthier, softer, and shinier. My holy grail- Olaplex No.3 ✨
I wanted to love this more but I think it is pricey and works the same as other products on the market
I have had olaplex treatments in salon and I have used the #7 bonding oil. My expectations were pretty high for the oil. The product is 30$ and is 1 fluid ounce. It claims to add shine, strength, and heat protect. I feel like it does do all of those things. I like it’s light weight and doesn’t weigh my hair down. It does last a long time a little goes a long way. I think it’s good and performs but at 30$ price point it is high. I have used other less expensive oils that compare for way less. So it works it’s great product it lasts long and is effective! Definitely try it out!

I used to be ride or die for Olaplex until... 1. The price for the amount that you get has never made sense to me but the results had me coming back and handing over my wallet. I bleached my hair with blonde highlights and the No. 6 Bond Smoother always kept my hair soft, frizz-free, healthy-looking and almost split-ends free. The No. 0 didn't do much for me, or at all, but I was so loyal to the brand & their shampoo & conditioner that I gave the others a shot. Currently finishing up No. 7 Bonding Oil, but can't say that I'm completely in love with it. This is my first time trying an oil consistently & it makes my hair look greasy. I only apply a very small amount on the palms of my hands and run it through the middle to ends of my hair but it still gives my hair the appearance of not being washed for 7 days. It smells amazing though but so far I have not seen any difference in the texture of my hair in the past 2 months while using this product. 2. Finding out about a recent class action lawsuit really did it for me. That's all I'm going to say about that.
Their conditioner never fails to revive my hair

I like this brand but I'm not sure it's worth the price. I have used the number 3 for a few years intermittently and haven't seen a huge difference in the texture or length of my hair. It isn't a bad brand but I think there's similar products for a cheaper price.
I’ve tried almost all of their products, but my hair only felt drier and worse after using them. Their products are expensive too. Not worth it in my opinion.
I have tried the purple shampoo, leave in conditioner, number 3 hair perfector and the number 8 hair mask. Love all of the products as they make my processed hair feel so soft and luxurious. I do think prices are a bit high but you’re paying for a product that works.
Made my hair fall out!! Stay away far far away!
I am constantly having to rebuy my olaplex products due to my mom and sisters taking them. we’re all obsessed!
The products good I just run out so fast because I have a lot of hair and the bottle are small. If it wasn’t so expensive It wouldn’t be such an issue buying more often or bigger bottle

The purple shampoo saved my highlights from going brassy but don’t overdo it because the color gets too ashy and doesn’t look good.
Love love love these hair products! I used the conditioner and oil for a while and absolutely adored the smell & feel of the products. However, it’s very expensive & I stopped using it due to other products being more in my price range with the same quality.
Love. It’s trusted by hair professionals. I use the #3 as a leave-in on the ends of my hair and it’s amazing.
My hair felt worse after. So dry and straw like. I tried using the way directions advised. Then tried using it the way influencers suggested. Neither worked well for me. It was the treatment. Not the shampoo.
