Reviews mention

  • Transformative bond-repair technology
  • Highly concentrated, efficient formulas
  • Salon-fresh, clean fragrance
  • Standout purple toning performance
  • Occasional drying shampoo texture
  • Heavy residue on fine hair
  • Purple pigment staining risk
  • Inconsistent long-term results

OLAPLEX delivers noticeable repair and shine for many—especially bleached and color‑treated hair—with standouts like No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo frequently praised in reviews. However, reviews also flag drawbacks: some experience dryness, heaviness or greasiness, residue, overly strong toning or staining from purple products, mixed or short‑lived results, and concerns about overuse or sensitivity, making OLAPLEX effective but not universally foolproof.

  • Great branding and form factor. Did not really seem like a ultra premium hair product and I would prefer Aesop next time. Would try again at a slightly lower price.

  • As a licensed cosmetologist, I would say Olaplex treatments get the job done

  • Didn’t love the conditioner, I didn’t feel like it was thick enough

  • olaplex is by far the best shampoo and conditioner i have ever used. i color my hair and this does not strip the color. it also makes my hair manageable with no frizz or dry ends.

  • Great a bit overrated does dry u out a little bit

Received a free product from OLAPLEX
  • I use them on dump hair and they help to prevent frizz and my hair look so smooth and shiny

  • I must be one of the only ones out here not impressed with this product. I see it all over instagram so I gave it a few attempts to win me over, but for the cost the bottles were so small and the result that we saw was just not there. Disappointed and feel influencers were just pushing something they were getting paid for. Well I was sucked in and can not give a positive review on these products. I would look else were. Sorry.

  • Got the #3 Hair repair perfector and followed instructions carefully. I have used it for about 2 months now and I see somehow a small difference. I like the scent and the texture and you can feel the moisturizing effect when the product is on your hair and when you rinse it out but that feeling does not stay on for long. I was expecting more of an impact given the price tag and the time I have been using it. It is unlikely that I will give it another try given the price tag. I have also tried their travel kit and did not notice much of a difference in using the 3 products concurrently. Overall, decent product but it does not justify the price.

  • Didn’t work for my thick and plentiful hair. I need to much product to justify the price tag. Doesn’t even work well.

  • I got a sampler pack and tried the shampoo and conditioner. I definitely feel a difference from the other ones I used. Running my fingers through my hair feels soo nice and it's a nice smell.

  • Honestly I wish i could say I’ve seen a difference… I’ve used the bond no 3 shampoo for over a month now along with the oil and they’re great products just nothing amazing

  • I like the heat protectant, use it weekly when I plan to style my hair and not air dry.

  • Broke my hair right off and my colorist had to give me a full haircut and re-dye to account for the damage :(

  • I have used several of the products from Olaplex. No 6 is my all time favorite product. It gives great moisture to my hair.

    Works for OLAPLEX
  • The purple shampoo is not pigmented enough compared to fudge purple shampoo However a lot of purple shampoos are drying and the olaplex one is not As someone who bleached their hair olaplex is a must have in my beauty routine I love the hair cream and oil mixing it together really makes my hair feel silky smoothe all day

    None
  • For the price, I expected much higher quality. My hair is damaged due to sun exposure but the shampoo didn't help much.

  • I think if you’re not blonde blonde, there are better bond repair products out there (I’d recommend the curl smith bond repair for all hair types and colors)
