  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • Oatly was the first oat milk I tried, and when it comes to creaminess and overall texture, it is one of my favorites! However, I think there are now other products that are a little cheaper and have similar taste and texture.

It's good, but not always worth the price, especially when there are other options!

  • Delicious. Makes my coffee experience better everyday. Love there’s shelf stable Oatly to have on hand so I’m never without yummy oat milk.

    Feedback

    My preferred oat milk brand.

  • It's ok, very watery taste and look. Full of more than just oats, looks to have a lot of additives, preservatives and chemicals

  • Love how my latte tastes with Oatly, however upon a little research I feel like its not the best option for me as it contains alot of oil which can cause inflammation.

  • Ever since Oatly, I have never gone back to dairy milk. I prefer oat milk in my lattes (including matcha), and use this as a substitute for "cream" when cooking. This turns out amazing!

  • This is the best oat milk in the market as far as the thickness and creaminess are concerned but not at all happy with the additives/fillers in it. This is the only option available most of the time at coffee shops so I don't have a choice.

    Feedback

Additives and fillers added in Oatly are not at all healthy but I feel out of options when I go to coffee shops and ask for non-dairy milk. I avoid where I can but sometimes it is all that is available.

  • Oatly's product is not the problem here. The big question for me is how does this OG stay relevant and move on as the rest of the market moves on. I am not suggesting that they should not stick to their true north but I feel Oatly has the potential to really lose its connection with its customers and market share as it becomes more and more ubiquitous and less and less relevant.

Above my pay grade but if they don't do something that feels genuinely original and fresh sooner rather than later then all good will may end up drying up.

  • Oatley is the closest thing I’ve found to replace regular milk. The taste is amazing and pairs well with my morning coffee. The only reason I gave it 4 stores is because of the added gums in the ingredients.

  • Oatly is the best! The flavor is so balanced and the texture is perfectly smooth, not slimy like some other oat milk brands. I don't drink alternative milks regularly, but if a coffeeshop has Oatly as their oat milk or I have it on-hand at home, it is my preference over anything else! My favorite combo is Oatly + matcha.

  • Really nice alternative to cowmilk. I like that it is kind of sweet. However, the foam decreases relatively fast after frothing.

    Feedback

A lot of sugars in there and foam decreases relatively quick. However, I don't mind this.

  • Love it!

I can’t drink cows milk and this oat milk is my favorite :)

  • I like oat milk, It makes a nice addition to my morning chai. Oat-ly met all my expectations, good taste. texture, and for my purposes as just an additive it lasted a long time.

Oat-ly is the poster child for oat milk, and while I do like it, you could save a couple of bucks by purchasing other brands, they all taste about the same to me. That being said, I'm just drinking their original oat milk, cold, so perhaps the barista formula has some edge above the competition or it's noticeably better than other brands when warmed up.

  • I didn’t like the barista ingredients at all. I also don’t like that they market it as using fiber rich oats but in reality, there’s very little fiber in these milks. As a result, you get a drink that is essentially sugar water, with 10 grams of sugar per glass (3 sugar cubes). Yes it’s naturally occurring sugars but it’s still turned into glucose in the body. I understand that people like it because it’s creamy and sweet but as a nutritionist, I don’t like the nutritional profile.

    Feedback

I do like the idea of oat milk because it’s hypo allergenic and sustainable but it would be great if they found a way to increase the fiber content. Also - please don’t use seed oils in your barista blend (or use cold pressed seed oils).

  • I don't love the fillers and junk that they use to make this product. What's conflicting is that it tastes so good!

    Feedback

    Beware of the ingredients.

  • This oat milk is very creamy with an amazing consistency. I normally use the Barista edition with my Chai tea and it works very well for my morning drink. I have tried a variety of oat milk and this definitely competes with other products.

  • Saw it at the grocery store and wanted to see if it was as good as its reviews say. It’s really good

    Feedback

Really good product would definitely try it again

  • Delicious! Took some getting used to but I really enjoy the consistency and the taste. My body feels better after making the big switch from cow’s milk. It’s just easy and just delicious.

The new point of no return!! Oatly has dramatically changed the way I approach cow-dairy products. You feel good when you eat good-for-you food.
