Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

This dairy alternative foams exceptionally well compared to all of the other oat drinks that I've tried! It also makes an ultra creamy mocha.

I'd love to see this product available in more grocery stores. To date, I've only found it through a specialty coffee store online.

I've tried Chobani, Planet Earth, Califia Farms, Trader Joe's house brand, and a few other oat milk brands and can confidently say that Oatly (Regular, Full Fat, and Barista Edition) is by far the best. - High quality and doesn't separate in coffee, which is critical - Tastes great; doesn't overly taste like oat - Smooth consistency - Versatile. It's great with coffee, chai, or as a milk substitute with granola/cereal - Froths well

- Oatly still doesn't have a strong distribution network where I live; hard to find sometimes so have to settle for other brands - It has a high sugar content–14% so don't always feel great about drinking it

Love the taste of their Original Oat Milk. Might have spilled my coffee the first time I tried it (on my laptop no less) BUT the milk itself was amazing and have kept purchasing so def recommend!

I absolutely love Oatly! As someone who’s switched to plant-based milk, I’ve tried several brands, but Oatly is by far my favorite. The texture is so smooth and creamy, and it has a natural, not-too-sweet flavor that works perfectly in coffee, smoothies, or just on its own.

Cool oat milk/drink. Now it's my favorite drink, which is sold almost everywhere. I've seen Oatly so many times that I couldn't resist trying it. I tried it and liked it.

The biggest OG Oatly fangirl over here. I still remember when I first tried Oatly. There is no superior oat milk (or plant milk) substitute in my opinion! Creamy, smooth and honestly luxurious - Oatly is a must have for the dairy free or plant based babes.

Taste wise I would say Oatly full fat is the most delicious oat milk on the market but I hate that it has so many ingredients, especially gums and fillers! I absolutely love the taste and creaminess that my matcha lattes have with this brand but unfortunately had to switch to a brand with less filler ingredients.

If oatly came out with a version that contained no gums it would be my holy grail milk alternative.

My drink of choice in the mornings is chai. I was slower to shift over to nut milks, but as soon as I discovered Oatly oat milk, I was hooked. I’ve tried a few other brands and always come back to Oatly because of the amazing creamy consistency which holds up really well when mixed with chai or coffee. Usually I’ll go for the original, but they’re all fantastic. I also love their branding and voice - so fun!

Love Oatly but it’s a little pricey.

Probably one of my favorite oat milks out there, for one it’s super super creamy, it has a great yummy taste and tastes very creamy and not watery at all. My coffees are never the same without this milk in it, I definitely recommend. Good price and worth the money!

Oatly is a relief for lactose intolerance! As someone who's sensitive to lactose, it's a great alternative that doesn't upset my stomach. The creamy texture works well in various foods and drinks, though the taste might not be a perfect match for regular milk. Despite that, it's a game-changer for those seeking a dairy substitute that's gentle on the stomach. Oatly might not be my absolute favorite, but it's definitely a go-to option in my lactose-free journey.

Love oatly! I use this all the time when making coffee at home. Works great with my milk steamer too! I really enjoy the taste and the fact it’s not too expensive. If i’m looking for oat milk, this is the brand I would by!

I feel like lately is one of the few milks that taste the closest to milk without being the real thing. I use it for lattes and my bowls of cereal.

This is the one!! This is the only milk I will use in my coffee from now on. It completely transforms the taste and makes the coffee taste so much richer. Perfect to recreate Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espressos at home too. SO good!!

Hello Frothy! TASTE Compared to milk, it’s not as sweet, but it does have the richness and frothiness when used to make a latte. Doesn’t have an “oat-like”, plant/grass taste. CONSISTENCY the box accidentally froze in my fridge but after thawing it out in the fridge. It still performed really well!

I cannot imagine drinking coffee or match without oatly. This literally changed the game for me. As someone who is lactose intolerant I had a hard time enjoying coffee/matcha. Oatly is the best alternative to milk, the creaminess it gives to coffee is chefs kiss. The only downside is the rapeseed oil, but I mean i'd rater drink this than cows milk.

overall great experience! consistent flavor, great packaging and cost

One of the standout features of Oatly is its creamy and smooth texture, which is similar to dairy milk. This texture makes it a great option for those looking for a milk alternative that can be used in a variety of ways, such as in coffee, cereal, and baking. Oatly is also a great choice for those with dietary restrictions, as it is vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free, making it a safe option for those with allergies or intolerances. It is also free from artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. In terms of nutrition, Oatly is a good source of fiber, and some varieties are fortified with vitamins and minerals, such as calcium and vitamin D. However, it is important to note that Oatly and other plant-based milk alternatives may not have the same amount of protein as dairy milk, so it may be necessary to supplement your diet with other sources of protein. Overall, Oatly is a great plant-based milk alternative that offers a creamy and smooth texture and is suitable for a variety of dietary restrictions. Its nutritional benefits make it a great addition to a healthy and balanced diet.

I purchased the vanilla flavored ice cream. You can definitely taste the oat flavoring in each bite. The taste is heavenly, but only on the first few bites. Then, the taste becomes too rich. Such a great product for dairy and gluten free allergies.

Oatly Barista Oat Milk is the only alt milk that’s ever really hit. I discovered it a few years ago when I cut out dairy, and I’ve been loyal ever since. It doesn’t taste like sadness the way some other oat milks do. It actually adds something — creamy, smooth, kind of sweet but not in that weird fake way. Froths like a dream. Makes my coffee taste expensive. Honestly, everything else I’ve tried feels like a downgrade now. Keep up the great work.

Very delicious but poor nutritional value. The texture is creamy and froths well for homemade lattes which is nice. Loved the flavor also. The packaging was also great. I loved everything with the exeption of the nutrients
