Oat Haus makes various flavors of granola butter, a nut-free and oat-based spread.

Hi Thingtesters! I'm Ali, founder & CEO of Oat Haus. This company was born out of my eating disorder recovery — I struggled for over a decade with orthorexia, exercise addiction and binge eating. One day, enough was enough. I decided to embark on a journey of self love and food freedom. Part of my recovery process was re-introducing foods back into my diet that I had restricted heavily for years — nut butters being one of them. Unfortunately, my gut couldn't handle all of the nuts, and none of the nut-free options on the market resonated with me, so I decided to create my own... and Granola Butter was born. 

To this day, I'm passionate about helping others who are struggling feel less alone — and since day one, it's been our mission at Oat Haus to help others find joy and fun in food.

One of the most addictive food products I've been lucky enough to try. Not only is this an awesome nut-free alternative to nut butters, but it's one of the most delicious products I've been lucky enough to try.  You'll want to add it to everything or eat straight from the jar...

It has a really great taste, but the price is very expensive especially in a market with much cheaper alternatives. It is a bit grainy, and after you it eat it sometimes it will feel like it’s stuck in your mouth, but besides for that it’s good

its good but you really have to get used to the texture. it is much different than any nut butter. it almost has a grittiness to it. i tried the cookie dough one and while i wouldn't eat it straight from the jar, it would be good on toast, oatmeal, yogurt, or fruit.

This is addicting!! My favorite flavor so far is brownie batter! I would love suggestions on how to eat it though because I find myself eating it with a spoon (the best way) haha 

I was using this in school lunches and both of the kids enjoyed it and the packaging is cute. It was a nice little change from our ordinary staples 

Absolutely delicious! Doesn’t taste chemically - just pure joy! 

The cinnamon flavor is rich and smells nice. It tastes great, low in sodium and sugar.  It tastes great right out of the jar as well as a spread.  The main aroma comes from cinnamon. It's not really smooth and creamy, which adds a bit of a texture for me.

Tried this a few years ago right when the company was starting out - really good! Indulgent snack for sure!

This brand has lots of potential. The flavors were good, but too sweet for me and I had trouble mixing up the product for a smooth, spreadable...spread. I think the formula isn't there yet. 

Really tasty, but a bit hard to mix and slightly oily.

When I say I'm obsessed with the cookies and cream granola butter omg. I typically eat granola for breakfast and this is now my favorite way to consume. Wish it had a bit more protein like peanut butter but still a very yummy and innovative snack. 

This stuff is absolutely delicious. I do not have a nut allergy, but I can see this being a nice replacement for nut butters. I would buy it religiously if there were some protein/benefits other than it being tasty. 

There are visible tiny clumps of oats that could be smoother for the creamy consistency.

Long story short, my daughter is incredibly picky. Hates the sunflower butter and soy version of peanut butter as well. I traveled 30 minutes to the only grocery store that sold it. Bought the vanilla one. She loves it. I love it. The texture is similar to the stir needed peanut butter but easier to stir. Will definitely be trying all the other flavors.

Forget about peanut butter! I’m obsessed with OatHaus Granola Butter!! I love eating spoonfuls of it whenever I have a sweet craving. I’ve tried all the flavors and they’re all excellent. 

I'd be curious to see if it could be a bit smoother, and also cheaper. A bit of a stretch for a butter.

Definitely sandy, but honestly delicious. I got the vanilla flavor and really enjoyed it! Nice and sweet, but not sickly sweet. Pairs perfectly with a slice of toast for a snack. Would definitely try others. 

The product is a little gritty but I personally don't mind it. 

Oat Haus is my latest obsession and it won't be stopping anytime soon! I love how drippy the texture is. The granola butter is easy to mix after separating. 

I've tried several flavors and my favorites are original and coffee. Original tastes like what cookie butter should be IMO. Brownie batter literally tastes like the batter of a boxed brownie mix.

So far I’ve only tried the vanilla flavor because it seems too good to deviate from. It’s a lil crunchy, a lil creamy, sweet and salty. I love to eat spoonfuls of this granola butter on its own or drizzled overtop of a fruit and yogurt bowl or smoothie. It doesn’t require refrigeration and although the oils do separate I find it easier to mix up than natural almond/peanut butters. 

Flavor definitely needs work in that it doesn't taste as advertised, at least not for strawberry shortcake. I haven't tasted any other flavorings but I wouldn't be surprised if they were disappointing as well. The spreadability could use a little tweaking.

TASTE: Overall, the taste is decent, and pleasant. It's pretty unique. Sort of like eating a spreadable granola is how I would describe it, so they nailed that product description. Incidentally I got the Strawberry Shortcake flavor and it tastes nothing like that which I have to say is pretty disappointing. That said, it tastes decent on its own.
TEXTURE: Not bad. It's smooth but it's not smooth-peanut-butter level of smooth, there is some graininess to it. I don't find it offputting but some people may find it a bit gritty. It doesn't spread the easiest but it also didn't tear up my bread. It doesn't seem to want to stick to the bread very well though; I put two slices together and when I pulled them apart, one slice lost all of its topping.
PRICE: Very decently priced, and I can't complain there. This is exactly what I would expect to pay for a product like this, including S&H.
NUTRITION: I am primarily calorie-focused so I will comment on that. It is 170 calories per 2 tablespoons. By comparison, JIF creamy peanut butter is about 180 calories for 2 tablespoons. So it's pretty much on par.
I'd say this makes a really decent but not perfect substitute for peanut butter, especially if you have a nut allergy.
