Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

I like the available scents, but feel that this natural deodorant wears off way quicker than some others I've tried.

Honestly, this brand just did not work for me. As much as I love their scents and aluminum free products, it just did not match with my body chemistry.

Clean deodorant that works! Usually those natural ones don’t fight odor or sweet. But native is great. I’m not one to be super paranoid about chemicals generally speaking, and have used lots of scented and “not good for you ingredients” over the years. But lots of research is coming out saying those chemicals build up over time in our bodies. So as long as a clean deodorant works, and does it’s job, I’m here for it. Plus it doesn’t hurt to take care of yourself too.
I really wanted to love this product but it wasn’t for me. I didn’t feel like it took away any odor. The products do smell great but it just wasn’t for me.
Their deodorant didn’t work out for me, but it smelled nice for a little while at least.
Unfortunately, the Native deodorants were not effective for me in the least. They didn't help with body odor, and I developed a rash under my arms (most likely from the baking soda).
I really enjoy this body wash. I have the coconut vanilla one and it works great. I have many allergies and this one works for me!
All natural, so works a little less as great, but it smells great and still works! Natural is the way to go!
I used the Native vanilla deodorant and liked it! I thought it worked better than other natural deodorants and was reasonably priced.
Native deodorant is so good. The mini-sized ones are so convenient to carry around in every bag throughout the summer! I also like that they have a variety of fragrances- they smell good (not too overpowering), and feel clean too.
I used the lavender deodorant and didn’t love it. What I do love is that this brand is better for your body so I want to try the spray deodorants and body wash next.
Have tried the deodorant and while it isn’t perfect, it’s convinced me I don’t need old spice to get through the day without smelling disgusting. Had previously tried a few natural deodorants that were a total bust. The coconut oil melted and deodorizing was nil. Cutting out propylene glycol ended the rashes I was getting in my pits, while still working as a deodorant. They have a ton of scent options, however all the ones I tried so far are pretty overwhelmingly powdery smelling. Not in an overly feminine way but still not quite for me. I am curious to try the unscented to see if it suits me better while still deodorizing. Also tried the sunscreen. Rubs in better than your average mineral sunscreen. Downside is it’s some sticky, which I haven’t experienced with other brands, and it’s not labeled as sweat proof so it’s not ideal for being active. Given my positive experiences I would continue to try their products. Prices are high compared to the mass market equivalents but so far are worth it for me.
Give this deodorant an adjustment period, let your body detox, then this will work wonders. Keep 2 mini vanilla coconut deodorants in stock at all times for on the go touch ups, and I love the smell.
My favorite deodorant! Other natural deodorants leave my underarms red with inflammation and even severe dryness and irritation. Native has been my go to for years and I absolutely love it.
I like the concept of an aluminum free deodorant but it just left my pits stinky regardless of how much detox I tried to do.
Really great everyday deodorant and easy to get your hands on. It does stain my white shirts quickly, and some of the scents are super natural smelling which makes me wonder what’s in the fragrance.
I tried this since I was looking for a natural deodorant option. It worked great as a deodorant, but left oily residue on my clothes that would not wash out.
I like that they try to be less toxic than aluminum antiperspirants, but there’s not a lot of transparency when it comes to other ingredients. It seems to me, like this is just another greenwashed company, unfortunately. The products themselves were so so. Smelled good, though.
Didn’t work for me because it has baking soda in it
Overall I have tried their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and deodorant. All of which have smelt amazing and offer more clean ingredients. On the back of their bottles they describe each of their few ingredients for dumb consumers like myself. It give me more confidence in what I’m using for my hygiene and is very well thought out and honest. I was a little confused when they released super intense smelling candy scents for Christmas since I felt as though they were doing themselves an injustice. Didn't feel like it went along with the idea of having better for you products with chemical filled scents. But overall I plan to continue to use Native’s less poignant scents.
