Reviews mention

  • Refined, memorable fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, glide-on application
  • Accessible, diverse scent range
  • Inconsistent odor longevity
  • Occasional white residue transfer
  • Gritty, sticky deodorant texture
  • Noticeable shirt staining risk

Native earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its deodorants and body washes smell exceptional and many users say they work for everyday wear, while others report short wear time, residue, and staining. Reviews praise clean-feeling formulas, sensitive-skin options, and standout scents like Coconut & Vanilla, Eucalyptus & Mint, and Citrus & Herbal Musk, but note inconsistent odor control in heat/workouts, occasional rashes or grit, and cardboard-packaging ergonomics.

  • All natural, so works a little less as great, but it smells great and still works! Natural is the way to go!

  • I used the Native vanilla deodorant and liked it! I thought it worked better than other natural deodorants and was reasonably priced.

  • Native deodorant is so good. The mini-sized ones are so convenient to carry around in every bag throughout the summer! I also like that they have a variety of fragrances- they smell good (not too overpowering), and feel clean too.

  • I used the lavender deodorant and didn’t love it. What I do love is that this brand is better for your body so I want to try the spray deodorants and body wash next.

  • Have tried the deodorant and while it isn’t perfect, it’s convinced me I don’t need old spice to get through the day without smelling disgusting. Had previously tried a few natural deodorants that were a total bust. The coconut oil melted and deodorizing was nil. Cutting out propylene glycol ended the rashes I was getting in my pits, while still working as a deodorant. They have a ton of scent options, however all the ones I tried so far are pretty overwhelmingly powdery smelling. Not in an overly feminine way but still not quite for me. I am curious to try the unscented to see if it suits me better while still deodorizing. Also tried the sunscreen. Rubs in better than your average mineral sunscreen. Downside is it’s some sticky, which I haven’t experienced with other brands, and it’s not labeled as sweat proof so it’s not ideal for being active. Given my positive experiences I would continue to try their products. Prices are high compared to the mass market equivalents but so far are worth it for me.

  • Give this deodorant an adjustment period, let your body detox, then this will work wonders. Keep 2 mini vanilla coconut deodorants in stock at all times for on the go touch ups, and I love the smell.

  • My favorite deodorant! Other natural deodorants leave my underarms red with inflammation and even severe dryness and irritation. Native has been my go to for years and I absolutely love it.

  • I like the concept of an aluminum free deodorant but it just left my pits stinky regardless of how much detox I tried to do.

  • Really great everyday deodorant and easy to get your hands on. It does stain my white shirts quickly, and some of the scents are super natural smelling which makes me wonder what’s in the fragrance.

  • I like that they try to be less toxic than aluminum antiperspirants, but there’s not a lot of transparency when it comes to other ingredients. It seems to me, like this is just another greenwashed company, unfortunately. The products themselves were so so. Smelled good, though.

  • Overall I have tried their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and deodorant. All of which have smelt amazing and offer more clean ingredients. On the back of their bottles they describe each of their few ingredients for dumb consumers like myself. It give me more confidence in what I’m using for my hygiene and is very well thought out and honest. I was a little confused when they released super intense smelling candy scents for Christmas since I felt as though they were doing themselves an injustice. Didn't feel like it went along with the idea of having better for you products with chemical filled scents. But overall I plan to continue to use Native’s less poignant scents.

  • I must be too stinky, because this deodorant doesn't work for me AT ALL. It may also just be the one I got, but the product was lumpy and irritated my sensitive skin when I rubbed it on my underarms. Good variety of scents, though!

  • I love this brand of deodorant. I wokr very long hours and want to make sure that I don't sweat too much. it also is safe as it doesn't have any carcinogenic ingredients which is a big plus for me

  • I’ve been using Native for a few years now, as they’re cleaner than a lot of other deodorant options. I like their scents, especially the Coconut Vanilla, but they don’t linger for very long after application. However, both my husband and I have noticed no BO after using them so that aspect is good! They also have a few ecofriendly packaging options, which is a plus.

    Feedback

I wish all the packaging was ecofriendly instead of just a few options. Also, be aware that this is just a deodorant and NOT an antiperspirant.

  • The scents are nice but the product builds up on the sides of the tube and gets gross. I barley use deodorant in general and the product just turned brown out of no where on the sides of the container. It is not sheer either and builds up on your skin with small chunks and then rubs on clothes. I do notttt get the hype.

    Feedback

I don’t recommend this brand. The product isn’t sheer on skin and melts easily all over the container.

  • The coconut scent is so lovely. It just doesn’t last long and I ended up sweaty and smelling. Love the minimalist packaging,

    Longer lasting effects and smell.

  • These deodorants smell amazing! It glides on smooth, and the white packaging is super aesthetic too!

I havea recommendation that they create a collection for those with sensitive skin, I developed a reddish bump under my arm and so I had to stop using it. It took a few weeks for the bump to go away. Not sure what happened, I love the many scents native offered but my skin is just too sensitive.

  • I have used Native's CoConut and Vanilla, shampoo and conditioner, I really enjoyed the smell of the product. The shampoo was a very clean without stripping all my hairs moisture, I also have oily skin on my face and I liked how the conditioner didn't leave residue on my face and make me break out.

    Feedback

I like that there us a variety of smells for every person's type of scent.

  • I used to religiously use the plastic free deodorant from Native and loved that they offered that version of the product! However, after using the product for around a year I found it completely stopped working for me, even though I tried to rotate between scents, and work in a different brand on occasion. I also found the tubes a bit too long for my fingers and would have to use a pen/pencil to push the deodorant up when it got closer to the end. Shorter but wider packaging would be better!
