Monos earns polarized reviews: praised for sleek, lightweight designs, smooth wheels, smart organization (compression panels, front laptop pocket), and distinctive colors, yet criticized for fragile shells that scuff, dent, and crack, finicky or sticking telescopic handles, and inconsistent customer service and warranty experiences. Reviews indicate the luggage can work well—rolling smoothly and packing efficiently for frequent travel—but durability of the outer shell and hardware issues, plus slow responses, are recurring drawbacks to weigh before buying.

I get so many compliments on my Metro Backpack when I travel. I love the modular front pocket system, and the ability to swap it out with different "kits." Currently, they have two different kits, would be cool if they had more options to swap out with.
I love the mission of the company and the sleek design. Although I knew it would get scuffs and scratches I didn't mind since it is luggage and it will get scuffed. I got the carry-on with the front pocket and when it is stuffed the handle does not extend all the way. I wrote to customer service for a solution but never got a response back. Despite everything I do like that the luggage is lightweight and can hold a lot. The colors are great and not ordinary so you can spot your luggage easily.
Love this suitcase! I have the medium size that needs to be checked. It does scratch easily, but doesn’t look any less sleek. It was expensive, but is high quality and with the reviews I’ve read on the lifetime warranty, I think it’s a lifelong investment. Saving up for the carry on size!

I have the carry on and the larger size. I like the large size, but find it annoying that the carryon inserts can't be removed. I prefer an away bag for the carry on size. Quality is great otherwise.
Love my monos, lightweight and has lasted. My only problem is when it’s really full it makes the handle hard to pull up
So far, so good! I purchased the larger carry on for my husband and it’s a great suitcase. The hard sided construction means he can pack a ton of stuff in his carry on! They also have fun colors and collabs. I’m thinking this will be my next suitcase too!

I can't say enough good things about my carry-on pro. I picked it when choosing between several competing brands in the space and haven't regretted it for a minute. As someone who often works when traveling, I really value the easy access laptop pocket in the front (not least of all because it fits my large MacBook pro). It provides and easy way for me to grab my laptop without needing to access the rest of my luggage. The interior easily holds a week’s worth of stuff for me (I use compression packing cubes) and is very comfortable to wheel around. I like the multi-level handle that makes it more comfortable when choosing whether to drag the bag behind me or roll it next to me on the four wheels. The tsa friendly lock is reliable and easy to use.

I purchased the carry-on, check-in medium and large in the green color and have had them for a year and a half. They are still in great shape from quite a few flights. They have taken a beating, but the scrapes clean right off. Interior is roomy and secure. Love that they have a lifetime warranty. Would recommend!
I liked that the website let me compare the sizes and functionality between the product lines to make my decision on which luggage to get. I liked the price point compared to other competitors and the colour options they offered! It came with a small eraser to help with scuff marks, which was a great added touch. Also that they are Canadian. :)

More variety of colour ways would be fun!
I have a checked bag and a carry on bag and I love the color (ocean) but they do scuff easily as others have said. The scuffs can also be buffed out easily but it would be nicer not to have to worry about that.
I travel at minimum twice a month and my Monos carry on comes with me. It’s sturdy, has lots of room and I love the colours. Overall the bag is made very well. However the wheels are killing me. It is not a smooth and easy bag to glide through the airport with. On carpeted areas I feel like I need to LUG the bag, especially when I compare it to my husband’s TravelPro. When we travel together, we end up switching our carry-ons because the Monos bag is significantly more difficult to push around.
I have the Check-In Medium as well as the Carry-On Pro in the Ocean Blue color. I've had them for three years now. I travel regularly, meaning 1-2 international trips a year as well as an average of 2 domestic trips a month. These are still going strong. I did have one zipper pull bend on one of it's first trips, so it is difficult to get it into the lock. But other than that, I haven't had any issues. My biggest wish is that the interior lining were removable. Shampoo spills etc. can be difficult to clean and I would love if I could just throw it into the washing machine instead.
I get a lot of compliments on my check-in and carry-on hybrid suitcases. A few things: Upon purchasing, these look and feel very sleek, they are light weight enough without feeling cheap in construction. They are spacious, and I have had no issues with boarding my carry-on for domestic flights in Canada (Air Canada, West Jet), but have not yet travelled internationally. Cons: It can be finicky to lock the suitcase, as any small amount of fabric sticking out of the suitcase will prevent the clasps from engaging. These suitcases also scuff extremely easily. They lose their clean, scratch-free exterior the moment you take it out of the box. I have vinyl flooring, and sliding my suitcase even slightly causes permanent markings. Expect to have your case looking worse for wear after a single trip. Though I am personally indifferent to aesthetic defects, I imagine this could be disappointment for others who perhaps hope their luggage holds up its pristine look for at least a couple of trips.

I purchased the Large Check-In suitcase and I love it! This is my first time purchasing a hard shell suitcase and I will definitely be purchasing another piece from Monos. I traveled to Italy and with 4 flights, this suitcase took a beating and still looks great. I love the sturdy telescopic handle and the ease of the spinner wheels while moving thru and airport. Also, they have many color options which i liked. Definitely recommend!
Really good organization for travel but for such an expensive luggage gets scratched up pretty easily
I have the Carry-on, the Carry-on large, Check-in Large, Metro Backpack, and Metro Duffle. All pieces have been used extensively for multiple trips abroad and more locally. their internal design makes packing so easy and keeping things separate when needed. use the Backpack as my daily work bag for toting my lunch and laptop around, and when the zipper on my first one got jacked up the customer service was fantastic at processing my warranty request and sending me a new Bag. Over all best luggage I have ever owned and 100% worth the price!
Really like the look of this suitcase but unfortunately the quality didn't hold up very well for me. I have the large suitcase in grey and it immediately got pretty scratched up after the first time checking for a flight. After about 6 months the lock broke and one of the corners got dented in and has continued to crack. Still functional but disappointed in the quality after such a short period of time.
I have the carry-on and the metro backpack and both are great products to travel with around the world. They are sturdy, look and feels great. 😌

Shipping was lightning fast and I purchased my item during one of their sales. I ultimately returned the Monos Metro Backpack because it felt heavy and bulky to me. It weighs 3 lbs when it’s empty. I’m petite and I don’t mind wearing large backpacks when travelling, but it looked boxy and felt heavy without anything inside. I really wanted to love it, but knowing me as an over-packer I would dread carrying that extra weight on my back. The nylon felt thick, but it didn’t scream luxury to me, especially at this price point. I’m sure it’s a great backpack, but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me.
I have 3 of the suitcases and in different sizes. Carry on, XL carry on, and large check in bag. All are very durable, good looking, with a TSA approved lock. Excellent compartments and compression boards which make packing an easier task. My only mixed comment is that the wheels stick out to create more room in the bag but ultimately create a more unstable product and leave the wheels at higher risk for injury when getting tossed around by airlines. Fortunately, the corner dent we experienced did not break the case and was easily reversed.
