MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist brand that delivers natural, blendable color and a polished “no‑makeup makeup” finish—especially via the Minimalist Complexion Stick, Flush Balm blush, Shade Slick lip oils, and Clean Lash mascara—yet several reviews flag weak longevity, patchy or sheer payoff on some items, and packaging quirks like product breaking or hard‑to‑access components. Reviews of MERIT also cite creamy, skin-friendly formulas that don’t clog pores and flatter sensitive skin, while noting issues such as dryness on textured or very dry skin, limited shade nuances for some tones, and brow or mascara performance that’s too subtle for bolder looks.

Absolutely love the bronzer. I got the shade "Clay" and its really lightweight and non-clogging for my pores in the summertime. Packaging feels very high quality and it's super blendable and dewey. Need to try all of their other products!
Basically the only makeup I wear. Provides the right amount of coverage and has nice packaging while maintaining a minimal, no makeup makeup vibe. Love the blush and the complexion stick, plus the bag!
I'm incredibly minimalist when it comes to makeup - my favorite part about this brand is that they're making no-nonsense, cut to the chase, reach-for-everyday items that you can't not have in your makeup bag. Their packaging is simple and sophisticated. Prices are a little higher than I'd like to spend on makeup but the quality keeps me trusting what I'm putting on my face, which makes it worth it.

First time trying these products - I appreciated the free bag with my first order and enjoyed my products, especialy the foundation brush which was great quality and a versatile addition to my makeup bag. I look forward to trying the SPF tinted moisturizer over the coming weeks.

I really love Merit products. I think they have high quality formulas and great colors with strong performance. I like that they don't have a million products and they're a brand that is easy to shop. The simple but classy packaging is also great. For friends who want to wear a little more makeup and look put together without putting in a ton of effort (or spending a lot) I recommend Merit all the time. When I do a 3-minute face it's mostly Merit products and I definitely always pack them to travel.
I’m more of a skincare guy, but Merit Beauty has been a solid intro to minimal makeup. The Complexion Stick is super easy—just swipe, blend with fingers, and I’m good. It evens out my skin without looking or feeling like makeup. The Brow Pomade keeps things tidy without making it obvious I did anything. Everything feels clean, low-effort, and fits right into my routine. Great for guys who want to look a little more polished without going full glam.
My favorite mascara! I’ve been using Merit mascara for a couple years now. It’s a perfect everyday mascara. Doesn’t really leave as much undereye darkness when I inevitably rub my eye. Also love how easy it is to remove. I only wish they would make it in brown

Merits products are very easy to use and buildable. The perfectly glowy bronze for the summer. The product also lasts a very long time and the consistency stays the same no matter how long you have had it for.
I love love the Merit packaging; it feels luxurious and... adult? In a way many of the more playful beauty brands do not. Their social media is fun and their products are good, especially their highlighter

I don’t understand the hype on this brand. Their makeup doesn’t stay on your face, the concealer stick is cakey. The blush literally stays on for 15-20 mins that’s it. I’ve purchased the bronzer, blush and concealer hoping to like it but was disappointed each time.
Great luxurious feeling makeup! Two of my favorite products are the new sheer lip liners & the cream blushes! They go on so smooth and are foolproof, especially for someone who doesn’t wear much makeup! The packaging is beautiful and the ingredients are clean.

The flush balm is really great - super pigmented and long lasting. The applicator was super easy to use and you can use a brush or directly apply it to your face. The bronzer however was very disappointing. It was just too sheer and while that is in the name, the bronzer would come off throughout the day and I ultimately exchanged it for another brand

I love the foundation stick and purchased one for my mom as well! It’s so nice to be able to throw in my purse. The coverage is great for quick touch ups, covering blemishes, or for a full face. The shade range is great too!

I have three of the Merit blushes and they are so nice and quite pigmented as well. They are also pretty easy to blend in to skin or with other make up on too. The colors look very nice on. I recommend their blushes!

I have only tried the concealer stick, and it's probably the only concealer I will ever buy from now on! It's just so perfectly my complexion match, and the finish is so natural-looking, with or without setting powder. It never slides off or looks too dry or cakey.
The cream blush is my favorite blush product right now. I love the colors - plus the formula is buildable and blendable. I also like the minimalist perfecting complexion stick but I wish they had more shade options.
I really like Merit's branding and aesthetic, and the fact that their sensibility is consistent across their product line. In general I think Merit products are really good – the lip oil is amazing, and I use the blush balm almost daily. i do think the price/quantity ratios are a bit off, with Merit, though. I love the complexion stick but it simply isn't worth the money – if you're using something as a foundation + concealer, you use it pretty quickly! and I "hit pan" on my blush balm shockingly quickly. High quality basics, but a bit rich for my blood.

I initially really liked this brand but the make up caused my skin to react very badly. Mostly around the most sensitive areas around my face such as my eyes. I like the blush and the lips but would not get any of their other products.

This review is specifically for the highlighter, which I purchased while trying to find a replacement for a previous holy grail highlighter from a brand that folded. Merit’s highlighting balm was the first one that hit the mark! I love the dewy texture and the fine shimmer, and I especially love that the color Cava has no gold tint or shimmer to it (super hard to find one that doesn’t!). Anyway, I will keep repurchasing this one over and over.

I have the merit brush, bronze balm and lip oil in marrakech. I used the bronze balm as a contour stick for a while because I prefer something sheer and buildable for contour instead of anything too harsh. Loved it for a while but realized it’s a bit too warm-toned for contour. I use the brush the blend it out and it works great. The lip oil no complaints, it has a nice texture but I prefer the kosas lip oil so wont be repurchasing.
