Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

I love how it's healthier than traditional cereal, but the flavor is definitely lacking. I find it tough to enjoy and my kids really don't even like it!
I wanted to like it but I can't get past the artificial sweetener taste. The after taste just sucks and the flavors aren't strong enough to make up for it.
At first bite, I was impressed. Crunchy, sweet, pretty exciting. But it was the after taste I couldn't deal with that ultimately lead to me throwing it all away. It has that chemical sugar aftertaste that I couldn't stomach. The crunch was very satisfying and I definitely liked it better dry, without milk. But ultimately, I just didn't like any of the flavors enough to eat a whole box.

The sweetness needs continued tweaking. The unpleasant aftertaste was too much to overcome.
I liked the cereal overall and honestly liked the taste compared to “regular” cereal, but the price made me not want to buy again. And I haven’t!
Great flavor, awesome nutrition facts

Wish they had a vegan option :(
Flavors are all right, but I do prefer my original cereal.
I was excited about this because I love their marketing (ads, emails etc) and I love the design but unfortunately the taste just wasn't there :(
Magic Spoon is a very fun cereal experience--especially for not everyday cereal drinkers. It is easy to buy Magic Spoon knowing that not only are you getting great cereal without crap ingredients, but you look forward to unboxing, & displaying your colorful boxes. I have given Magic Spoon as a gift several times, and everyone always gets so excited!

Taste could be stronger
Bought it for our kids and they kind of liked it. The shipping was fast however, so that was a big plus!
Tastes great, low sugar cereal option

Bit expensive and not easily accessible
I wanted to love it but this was disgusting and expensive. Where did all the hype come from? Sorry Magic Spoon.

It was just so horrible - the texture, the way it absorbed the milk. Yeah it's healthier but I don't need a healthier breakfast cereal so badly that I'd justify the horrible mouthfeel, weird aftertaste, etc. Hate to do this but just not a fan at all.
I really love the way Magic Spoon looks and feels. The box is so fun to look at or even display on an exposed shelf! The mission here is clear and well-expressed, whether through ads, the packaging, or the product itself.

I reeealllyyyy wanted to love Magic Spoon, but the only issue for me, sadly, is the most important part: taste. I've tried the frosted and cinnamon flavors, and they just don't quite do it for me. There is an artificiality to the taste, and that tragically stops me from wanting more. There are other flavors, but I'm worried the same problem will persist.
Gorgeous branding, lackluster product. The cereal may have a nice flavor, but the texture is SO off I can't get past it.

Great concept and branding. Product is meh. Texture left a strange sensation in my mouth and taste had a fake/chemical-tinge
I love having this on hand for a quick, guilt-free breakfast. I like the fruity and the classic, some of the other flavors aren't my fave. I like their brand communication and visual design as well.

Didn't love the chocolate or peanut butter, which I expected to. Also doesn't taste exactly like the old favorites, but has a pretty satisfying taste I think!
Big Magic Spoon fan; I love cereal at night & this is an awesome diet-friendly option.
Feedback
Because it's high protein the texture and the aftertaste may be a bit weird but it doesn't really bother me.
Disappointing - the cereal would stick in my teeth, was too artificially sweet, and really upset my stomach
Love the packaging and the overall idea. I wish the cereal tasted slightly more natural though

I loved the idea of this brand. The packaging, all of it was wonderful

I did not like the aftertaste. Needs tweaking on the flavor side.

I really like Magic Spoon. I know some people that aren't the biggest fan, saying it tastes like whey protein. I think since it's meant to be a high-protein cereal it's justified and it doesn't really bother me. I like how I can enjoy a cereal guilt-free and contribute to my protein for the day!

More flavors! It's also a bit expensive :/
