Lush earns polarizing reviews: aficionados praise its standout bath bombs, indulgent scrubs (Scrubee, Ocean Salt, Magic Crystals), beloved staples like Dream Cream, Celestial, and Mask of Magnaminty, plus vegan/eco-minded practices and fun in‑store testing. Detractors cite overpowering, sometimes irritating fragrances, inconsistent efficacy (notably some skincare, conditioners, and shampoo bars), product discontinuations, and occasional staining or messy residue from bombs—making the brand better for gifts and sensorial self‑care than results‑driven routines.

A fun store that my boyfriend (a curious sort) couldn't get enough of. Fun to touch and smell everything. Ultimately, I often feel like I could make all the products myself with effort and am disinclined to buy.

Smells good and I enjoy the curl serum. However, the company seems to engage in union-busting tactics, which is not OK in my book. Do better, Lush.
FAVS huge fan of their solid shampoo, conditioner and massage bars for travel proposes. Compact products that smells amazing. The product melts into your skin like magic when applied.
I love the mission behind each product as well as the company as a whole. They have been practicing sustainability and natural ingredients before it was "trendy". The products are also amazing. My favorites have been the dream cream, and the sleepy shower gel. I have also given gift boxes to friends and family and they all loved them.
Everything smells amazing. I got a shower scrub from here and the scent lasted all day.
A lot of the products are very hit or miss. The bath bombs are great and are high quality but incredibly overpriced, especially with what other creators and brands are coming out with. I also really enjoy the shower gels, lotions, the Super Milk leave in hair treatment, many of the perfumes, and the Revive hair moisturizer. Lush has some really unique and complex scent profiles that I feel really stand out and have become iconic. Other products just don’t do what they claim to and are not really worth it in my opinion. For example the shampoos and shampoo bars (all of which are incredibly harsh and drying regardless of how they tell employees to push / pitch them), the skincare is really lacking in quality in ingredients and are not effective in my opinion, and a lot of the “naked” products are just not practical and get dirty / unusable before they are finished up.

It feels they don’t really keep adapting with the times and the competition despite priding themselves on being so innovative. I also feel that the ingredients in the skin care do nothing at best and can be irritating or harmful at worst. The branding seems to have lost sight of their target audience or who they want their target audience to be - recently I feel they’ve been pumping out low to mediocre quality products that appeal to kids and tweens but are putting luxury price tags on them. The prices have become outrageous for the quality and amount of product you are paying for. I also don’t really support the company itself after knowing so much about the inner working of it. They preach ethics and sustainability but I feel they are incredibly guilty of greenwashing and treat their staff in the stores and the factories very poorly. There is a lot of dishonesty and a failure to practice what they preach behind closed doors and I just don’t ethically support it. To be completely transparent, I am a former employee of the brand.
Unfortunately, I had a bit of a bad reaction to Lush's bath bombs. After using them, my skin on my arms and legs got really red, itchy, and inflamed. But, on the bright side, I did love their lavender sleep set. The sleep powder had an amazing smell on my pillow. So, it's a bit of a mixed bag for me. I don't think I'll be buying their bath bombs again, but I still think Lush is a cool brand that's all about ethical sourcing. Also, I love that you can return five clean black and clear pots to any Lush store in exchange for a free fresh face mask!

Every time I walk into a Lush store, I am greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and their knowledgeable staff is always there to help me. Their products smell amazing and come in adorable packaging. From bath bombs to face masks, Lush has everything you need to pamper yourself and your self-care routine. What I love most about Lush is that their products are made from natural, ethically-sourced ingredients, and are completely cruelty-free.

Overall love shopping here in person. The store setup is super fun and you get to see, smell and test all the products which is helpful when making a purchasing decision. The bath bombs, bar soap and face masks are my personal favourites. If vegan personal care products are important to you there are lots of fun products to choose from.

The products are a little pricey and can be hit or miss. I tend to shop here occasionally for a fun treat for myself or for gifts.
LOVE LOVE LOVE I have tried so many products over the years and have loved them all. Especially the angles on bare skin cleanser, solid vanilla perfume and strawberries and cream conditioner.

The only problem I had once was that the solid shampoo bar dissolved in the shower but this was a couple years ago and I have read since that they changed the formula.
I've been using lush for years, but admittedly I have pretty much stopped buying it. I find the products are expensive. While the scents are great and make you feel like you're walking in grass, I just can't always justify the price. At this rate, I just buy my go-to item on the rare occasion and take advantage of free samples (hey, ya'll are generous w them). I love their bath bombs, but haven't had a tub in years which does suck. I do think the in store experience is great though.

Could you bring back the smaller perfumes in the roller? The balm aren't that great and the other sized perfumes are just out of my budget! I really liked more accessible prices/sizes.
Obsessed with the Lush bath bombs. They smell amazing!
Lush products are hit-or-miss. Some of the fresh face masks and bath bombs are great, but I would skip pretty much everything else. Their recycling program is great!

These could be good gifts or a treat for yourself, but choose your products wisely because some of them are a weird consistency and/or smell.
I think lush items are great for adding to a personalized gift basket or as a stocking stuffer but some of their products have an overwhelming scent if you’re sensitive to certain scents, my fav products were their moisturizer and their body scrubs!
I have been using Lush products for years and the products I've used have never disappointed me. Every product has an amazing and unique smell. I really love the face/body cleansers because they make my face and body feel soft. My favorite face/body cleanser is the "Let The Good Times Roll" cleanser. It smells so good. It definitely my go-to cleanser from Lush. I have also recently tried their hand balm called "Sweet Wild Orange". IT LITERALLY SMELLS LIKE YOU JUST PEELED AN ORANGE. SMELLS SO GOOD. And of course, you can't go wrong with the bath bombs. They all smell so good.
I absolutely love lush bath bombs! They come in so many cool colors/ variations and make your bath feel like a luxurious spa!
Although I love the brands mission, the scents are overwhelmingly sweet. The products work well—I tried a lip scrub that left my lips feeling fresh and smooth, and the bath bomb was definitely very moisturizing. The packaging can be returned to the store and recycled, and you even get a free face mask after you return your tenth container! If you don’t mind strong scents, then these products are perfect for you.
I enjoyed the body scrubs, but a lot of the products have very strong fragrances.
Bath bombs are amazing - fragrant and clean. My 7 year old daughter loves the bath bombs and has had no skin reactions to any of the ingredients. Bath time for me is relaxing and luxurious and for my daughter, fun and colorful.

Sometimes the fragrance can be a lot but overall, the product is amazing.
Although the store is a tad overwhelming with scents, the products do wonders! The face masks are perfection and the bath bombs are fun for those who enjoy baths. The sugar lip scrubs are also great especially in the winter months. Staff are always so helpful and don't try and push products outside your needs.

The masks really deliver on their promises and are a reasonable price. They also have great sales on and after holidays.

I wish there was some more retail integration because there is no brick and mortar store near me.
