Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, heat, travel, or a night out—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (standouts include Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) make it easy to use. Reviews also flag consistent drawbacks: many flavors taste overly sweet or salty, some feel thick or artificial, and the added sugar and sodium (with a newer sugar‑free line noted) are frequent concerns; mixing can clump and flavor hit-or-miss. Overall, the brand is effective but polarizing on taste and ingredients.

As someone who experiences the mid-day slump daily this is the perfect pick me up. I always feel hydrated and refreshed after drinking!

I’d like if it’d dissolve easier, sometimes it clumps at the bottom of the cup.

I am obsessed with these, especially after a super dehydrating workout or to help cure a horrible hangover. They taste good, are easy to transport, and fairly reasonable in price when purchased in bulk from Costco.

Packaging seems to be in all plastic. More eco friendly packaging would be great

Super easy to use. I love it for after a workout. Tastes sweet, but not too sweet. I’m from Florida and it’s pretty humid so it’s a must have when my family goes skiing or on vacation in dry climates!

Love the concept of this & the powder dissolves easily, but wish the flavors tasted better.

Drink the powders a few times after a terrible hangover they definitely helped but didn’t cure it completely.

Very strong flavor. I have to dilute with water

I like the taste and flavor of liquid iv but it has too much sugar for my liking. If they did a zero sugar one I’d be all over it.

Less sugar would be great.

My boyfriend loves these after work outs but I’ve always been concerned with the amount of sugar. He got me to try one when I was hungover and omg they do taste delicious and made me feel so much better! I really think Liquid IV is good for hangovers and work out recovery but do I really need to be drinking sugar water every day? Probably not.

Amount of sugar!

I really liked the Liquid IVs. I had the strawberry and watermelon flavors; they both taste amazing! I forget to drink enough water in the day and I like to use these as a hydration booster every now and then.
Feedback
If it is possible to reduce the sugar content, that would be great!

Only reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because some of the flavors taste very gross and artificial. I currently have the lemon lime flavor and I LOVE it! Great way to get in electrolytes and make me feel my best pretty quickly.

Flavors! I have only found a few that I can tolerate and don’t taste super artificial

I get dehydrated easily so after having some of their strawberry flavor I feel refreshed.

Flavor was fine but a little pricier. Not really better than Pedialyte.

If you don't want to read my full review, at least know this: It's better than regular gatorade, but can't beat pedialyte when you need serious hydration. The powder to water ratio when mixing it is complicated. Too much and it can taste either too sweet or slightly salty at worst. I've never found the full packe to mix well with the amount of water they suggest, I always opt for 2-3x more water. The reason I scored it lower than 4: It's been suggested that folks with Celiac Disease should not use Liquid unless you have a device or service animal that can help you with gluten detection. Not all flavors were found to test positive for gluten by celiac friendly detection methods, but enough did that it recently sparked controversy for the brand. When this started being talked about on social media among gluten-free/celiac communities, the companies response was lackluster and left a sour taste in my mouth in how they chose to weakly respond or otherwise ignore concerns versus really face them. I do expect they'll work out a better plan of action in future though. I personally only have an intolerance and, (likely thanks to my regular flavors, and preferred powder to water ratio), I never ran into significant side effects aside from mild, short-term bloating. Strong points for Liquid I.V.: When you're keeping up your water intake and adding these in it makes a difference. I'll give them a lot of credit for helping me recover from a lot of back to back colds/illnesses. Staying hydrated was a significant factor of recovering as quickly as I did, I liked switching to these to STAY hydrated when the pedialyte started tasting too strong. But I can't say I relied on these alone for hydration recovery. It travels well and the flavors are pretty great when you find your perfect powder to water ratio. I personally liked the golden cherry, acai berry, passion fruit, and tangerine flavors the most. It's a great option on the go or when you want to be able to control the ratio and be able to stretch the powder into two servings vs. just one.

Their response to the so called gluten controversy wasn't ideal, and it's left me avoiding Liquid I.V. for the foreseeable future. Could I see myself returning to the brand? Yes! But my first choice for now will be going back to pedialyte for the heavyweight hydration and gatorade for lightweight work like cold recovery and mild hangovers.

I’ve tried this a couple times after night out, but I really don’t think it made much of a difference. Flavor was in grade, and I didn’t notice much of a difference than how I would feel if I just drank a lot of water.
Feedback
It’s very hard to evenly dissolve all the powder, and the taste is really bad. It leaves a sticky mess behind.

Strawberry is my favorite flavor. Vodka shots chased with it was my go-to Vegas drink. It also helped wonders after food poisoning and I was severely dehydrated.
Feedback
I’m not sure if possible but I wish it wasn’t as sweet.

I absolutely love this product and I love the taste. I do add about 20 ounces of water instead of the recommended 16. Such a great drink when I’ve been outside in the heat all day or after a night of drinking.

I don’t typically like drink mix-ins but this product was very smooth and not too sweet. Tangerine is my favorite flavor

I've definitely used liquid IV quite a few times. I'm a girl that loves her margs. I love the taste. They definitely don't erase all your bad decisions but I do find myself feeling better when I take them.
