Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • I'm a huge fan of everything Liquid IV offers! This flavor captures the essence of summer perfectly—just the right amount of sweetness! I highly recommend it!

  • Huge fan, it’s effective (I can always tell when I’m dehydrated which happens a lot) and tastes pretty good. Favorite is the cherry flavor.

  • Hydrates you like no other water, Gatorade, or electrolyte drink. Pop one of these bad boys in your water bottle and not only do they taste good but you feel really good after. These are on continuous order on amazon at my house and golden apple is the best

  • I have tried multiple flavors and purchased both at Costco and Directly from Liquid IV. Their shipping was okay, nothing slow but not quick. My biggest gripe used to be all the good flavors were 'limited edition' celebrity collabs but they've since come out with most as stand alone flavors. For the sugar and salt contents I find there are a lot of more affordable options like spark and even just powdered Pedialyte.

  • Super helpful for avoiding dehydration after tennis.

  • These! Are my go to, after a night of drinking, I drink one of these bad boys, chug some additional water and take some excedrine before bed and wake up hangover free! Which is amazing, considering I get EXTREMELY BAD hangovers!

  • I use these for two things… Hangovers and mowing the grass. Sometimes those things happen simultaneously. Liquid IV is my savior in all scenarios. Stay blessed. Stay hydrated.

  • I love this product. Obsessed with the hydration plus immunity support right now. It cost the same as the other flavors but has a ton of zinc and other vitamins. I tried other flavors and most are delicious, but I’m not a fan of the strawberry.

  • Tried these as an add in for water during gym workouts. They tasted pretty good and seemed to keep me well hydrated.

  • Quickest way to go rehydrate!!! All you have to do is open up the pack pull a little guy out and mix it with some water and drink it up and all set for the night and day

  • Liquid IV has been a life saver for me a few times when I was hung over or working out in hot temperatures. I definitely have noticed a difference in how I felt from taking it. Taste is pretty good and is sold in bulk at Costco!

  • Really enjoyed the flavors I tried and they seemed to work well. I feel like they're priced too high to consider buying regularly though

  • My go to liquid iv! Great source of vitamins.

  • I love this but mainly use it for hangovers -- which I don't think it helps much of my hangover.

  • I wish I didn't love this so much because it's an expensive product but I'd have one of these a day if I could. Sometimes I'll feel low energy or have a headache. Before taking advil or having coffee, I'll have one of these and feel like a new person. 75% of the time it makes a headache go away and gives me energy. Also, it tastes great.

  • Coincidentally, today is my two year wedding anniversary… and also my two year anniversary with Liquid IV. What we started out calling “Snake Oil” has turned into so much more. Not only did Liquid IV get us through those first few days of record levels drinking and celebrating, it became a regular household item to prevent feeling “crispy.’ Most recently, I also took Liquid IV with me on a two week trip with my 74-year old mom. It was going to be extremely hot, and with long days ahead I was really flipped out about her getting dehydrated, and all of the other health conditions that might set off. We had one together each night, and it’s now a few months later, and she still has kept up the ritual… it turns out the electrolytes have helped get her chronic, nightmare-status leg cramps under control. Who knew?! And on the technical side, I always use cold water to mix, and I’ve tried Lemon Lime, Golden Cherry, Açaí, and Concord Grape. We’re currently a Watermelon family. And yes, everyone still does call it Snake Oil, but now with love.

  • Unfortunately the taste is something I just can’t get past. I bought these for a trip to aide in hydration after drinking, it made me more nauseous then I was in the first place. Granted my sister in law doesn’t mind the flavor as much and drinks them before going out and she says it helps with her hangover.

  • Great for people who want to stay hydrated but don’t like the taste of water. I love the strawberry flavor. Unlike other brands of powdered drinks, it provides nutrients and electrolytes, but on the down side it is not shelf stable once added to water and will spoil more quickly. But I suppose that’s all the more motivation to finish the drink to stay hydrated!

  • This stuff is awesome! I discovered this after returning from India with a bout of food poisoning from some questionable street food. This was a lifesaver for recovery without needing to go and get an Actual IV to rehydrate and maintain fluids. After that, I kept them on hand to travel, when ill, before having a few drinks, while nursing and struggling to maintain supply and keep myself hydrated. If you struggle with fluid intake this is way better than your kids electrolyte drink.
