Reviews mention

  • Clean organic ingredients list
  • Distinct buttery flavor profile
  • Airy crunchy popcorn texture
  • Creative seasonal flavor lineup
  • Noticeable coconut oil taste
  • Occasionally light seasoning flavor
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Crispness fades after opening

Lesser Evil earns strong reviews as a flavorful, cleaner snack brand that largely delivers—especially Himalayan Gold and Pink Salt popcorn, No Cheese Cheesiness puffs, Space Balls, and seasonal flavors—praised for airy crunch, authentic buttery taste without dairy, and simple organic ingredients. Reviews also flag weaknesses: coconut oil’s noticeable taste isn’t for everyone, some flavors run lightly seasoned or uneven, bags can stale or turn soggy after opening, and a few seasonal or cheese variants miss the mark.

  • These are really tasty popcorn that are less processed from other brands I’ve tried.

  • Tasty popcorn with just a few ingredients. Not too oily or salty, so it's easy to eat a whole bag if you're not careful! Tastes fresher than a lot of other popcorn brands.

  • Lesser Evil is one of my favorite snack brands! Their popcorn is absolutely delicious—crunchy, light, and full of flavor without being overly greasy. I love that they focus on using clean, simple ingredients, making it a snack I can feel good about. The fact that they’re also committed to sustainability with their packaging is a huge plus. Whether I’m munching on their popcorn or trying one of their other snacks, Lesser Evil always delivers a tasty and guilt-free treat!

  • The LesserEvil popcorn tasted clean! The simple ingredients makes this popcorn healthy for the whole family. I felt great eating popcorn for the first time without any bathroom side effects. That is a great improvement in the realm of popcorn!

  • The fact that this pipe is in a bag and it tastes the way it does. I have no complaints. We tried this at target and I really enjoyed them. They also have extra cheesy ones, and they have a spicy one. I really enjoy this brand.

  • Lesser Evil popcorn is… fine. It’s one of those snacks that feels like it’s trying really hard to be the “better” option, and to be fair, it probably is. The ingredients are clean, the branding leans into this sort of quirky wellness vibe, and the packaging looks good on a shelf. If you care about coconut oil and Himalayan salt, that’s kind of their whole thing. The texture is light and airy, almost a little too much so—it kind of disappears as soon as you start chewing. Flavor-wise, it’s subtle. Sometimes really subtle. If you're expecting a bold, buttery crunch, this isn’t it. But if you just want something to mindlessly snack on without feeling gross afterward, it does the trick. Honestly, it feels more like a snack you eat because it seems like the “right” choice rather than something you’re actually excited about. It’s not bad, just not especially craveable. Good for office drawers, maybe a road trip, or when you’re trying to snack “better” without putting in a lot of thought. It’s popcorn that behaves itself.

  • Very tasty popcorn. I like that it's healthy and it doesn't feel heavy to enjoy. With that said i feel like i can eat an entire bag in one setting..

  • We really like this popcorn. It's light and clean and tasty. It's pricier so we usually buy it on sale at Whole Foods.

  • Lesser Evil is one of my favorite snack brands. No seed oils and super simple ingredients. Plus they are organic. I get the popcorn every week and every so often buy the space balls for my kids. The packaging is fun and eye catching too.

  • I am allergic to Coconut oil, so I can only have a little of the popcorn, but it is sooo great! It is tasty, not too salty, and fabulous.

  • Its a great quality brand however its a very light seasoning. I feel like I need to eat like double the amount I would normally to get the full taste of it.

  • I love Lesser Evil popcorn! the Oh My Ghee popcorn is my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. I highly recommend trying their snacks.

  • Really good pop corn, it does get a little soggy after the bag is opened, probably the coconut oil. The cheese puffs are some of my favorites.

  • The popcorn is very good. I like that it's made with coconut oil and clean ingredients. My one note is that the white cheddar does not really taste cheesy and could use a little more flavor. The himalayan pink salt is awesome!

  • The popcorn is delicious and macros are amazing.

  • I'm completely obsessed with the Homer's Blend garlic & "parmesan" popcorn variety — one of the absolute best vegan cheesy popcorns I've ever tried. The popcorn is light & fluffy, not overly greasy or salty, so easy to eat an entire bag in one sitting.

  • Lesser evil popcorn is amazing, I usually buy the seasonal flavors and have never been disappointed. The Lemonade is a favorite and in a plethora of Pumpkin Spice products which usually taste like candles or air fresheners, their product is truly fantastic. There is glazed popcorn mixed in with the seasoned popcorn and the spices are complex and delicious. I felt like every bite was better than the last, I should have bought more bags! The Matcha is great but I would reduce the white chocolate to experience more of the earthy Matcha flavor. I am a big fan of the Paleo Puffs, the product is better than cheese doodles in every way. Lighter and tangier and no orange dust on my fingers.

  • Himalayan Salt Popcorn is the only product I’ve tried and as long as you don’t mind a subtle coconut flavor (from the coconut oil), it makes a great snack. There’s only three ingredients so I’d imagine it good for those who want simple, tasty, foods that haven’t been overly processed. It’s very similar to products like Skinny Pop and Boom Chicka.

  • My favorite is the butter flavor popcorn. Tastes very similar to movie theater popcorn without the guilt!
