Lentiful Reviews
Experience
I bought a variety pack of these to try. I was very interested in finding something super quick and easy to make for lunch and I'm on a low salt diet and liked that most of the flavors wasn't too high in sale. The Mexican Green Chile was the most flavorful and probably my favorite of the savory options. The Thai Coconut was the least flavorful which I was disappointed since I thought that would be my favorite. I was pretty skeptical of the Cinnamon Apple because I wasn't sure how that would go with lentils, but I actually loved it! It's important to follow the directions; the first time I missed that you should keep the lid on after cooking, but the experience was pretty easy to prepare. I agree with the other reviewer that I wish portions were a little bigger, or the price was $1 less.. I felt like I needed to make something in addition for lunch.

I tried the Cinnamon Apple and the Thai Coconut. I liked the Cinnamon Apple a lot, it would be a great alternative to oats for breakfast every now and then. The Thai Coconut I found extremely brand. Aside from a couple of extremely flavorful bites, it was overwhelmingly bland and didn't really hit the notes described on the package. From a portion standpoint, I think it's good as a breakfast size, but for lunch or dinner you'd either need to supplement with other food or eat it as a side. I would not buy these again. At $5 per portion, it's expensive for what it is and I didn't like them enough to justify that price point. When it comes down to $3, we can talk about buying more of those Cinnamon Apple ones for breakfast. Edit: I have now tried the Mexican Chile version and that one was my favorite of the three, but I still don't plan to purchase again at $5.
