Kulala is a Nobel-Prize winning research-inspired startup that leverages the latest technology and cutting-edge research in chronobiology and sleep science to engineer lighting solutions that enhance sleep, mood, and long-term health for infants all the way through adulthood. 

Founded by Dr. Sofia Axelrod, neuroscientist, sleep consultant, and internationally acclaimed author of “How Babies Sleep”, Kulala launches with their first real-world product, The Kulala Baby Sleep Lamp.

As a sleep researcher, and previously a lifelong insomniac, Dr. Axelrod understands the fear parents have when it comes to sleep and their first child. As lack of good sleep is one of the most crucial health issues for 60% of the population, Axelrod felt that a change needed to happen - starting from infancy. 

The Kulala Baby Sleep lamp incorporates Dr. Axelrod’s science-based sleep method into a physical, high-design product. Utilizing precision-engineered DreamRed light, the lamp uses a custom-constructed emitter of red light containing only wavelengths above 650nm, scientifically proven to support melatonin, circadian alignment, and create the ideal sleep environment. Individually handcrafted with natural maple wood and baby-safe materials, the Kulala Baby Sleep Lamp is designed with parents in mind – offering a robust, functional yet visually appealing addition to any home or nursery.
