Kodiak earns positive reviews and proves a strong breakfast staple, with protein-packed pancake/waffle mixes and frozen waffles that cook up light, fluffy, and filling; however, some mixes can turn dense and certain items skew sweet or have less‑clean ingredients. Reviews also flag texture quibbles—granola bars run crumbly and an oatmeal flavor tastes raw—while praising convenient, quick prep, whole‑grain formulas, and flavors like banana muffin, cinnamon oat, and chocolate chip.

I find the taste is so delicious, even with all the substitutions I make to the prepared mix. I personally make these dairy free and I also omit whole eggs (l use egg whites instead) as I can't have egg yokes. I use unsweetened almond milk where it calls for milk and I use coconut oil for the oil/butter option. Maybe it's just me, but I actually prefer the way these taste to anything else now. If you're on the fence about the taste, it will likely surprise you in a good way. They still come out fluffy enough and crispy on the outside. l've repurchased multiple times.

The pumpkin flavor is perfect for fall! These are easy to make and have a nice warm, spiced flavor that goes great with a little butter or maple syrup. I like that they’re filling enough for breakfast and give you a quick way to switch up your usual pancake routine without much extra effort.

These blueberry lemon muffins are a great option when you want something quick and easy for breakfast. The lemon adds a nice citrus flavor that pairs well with the sweet blueberries. They’re soft, satisfying, and perfect to make ahead for busy mornings or grab as a snack during the day!

This honey oat granola is great for breakfast or snacking throughout the day. It has a nice crunch and a lightly sweet honey flavor without being too much. I like adding it to Greek yogurt with fresh berries, but it’s also good by the handful when you need something quick!

Maple and brown sugar is a classic oatmeal flavor that’s sweet, comforting, and easy to make. Perfect for busy mornings when you need something quick before heading out the door. I like the warm maple flavor, and it’s even better with a little peanut butter or sliced banana mixed in!

The raspberry lemon flavor is a nice change from regular pancakes! It has a sweet, fruity taste with a little citrus tang that keeps it from being too sweet. Easy to make for breakfast, and really good topped with fresh berries and a little maple syrup.

These Power Waffles are an easy breakfast to keep on hand for busy mornings. They’re filling, have a nice texture, and are super easy to pop in the toaster when you don’t feel like cooking. I like having something quick with extra protein that I can pair with fruit or peanut butter!

Kodiak Cinnamon Oat flapjack mix is a great breakfast option! The cinnamon flavor adds a little sweetness without being overpowering, and the oats give it a hearty texture. Easy to make for breakfast or meal prep, and really good topped with bananas, peanut butter, or maple syrup.

These are a quick and easy breakfast, and I love the little pockets of chocolate throughout. They have a hearty texture and are great toasted with a little butter or peanut butter. Perfect for busy mornings when you want something sweet and filling without much effort!

These Kodiak chocolate chip waffles are so good! They’re easy to throw in the toaster for a quick breakfast, and the chocolate chips add just the right amount of sweetness. I like that they’re filling without feeling too heavy. Great with peanut butter or just on their own!

Very convenient and easy to make pancake and waffle mix with 100% whole grain wheat flour and protein powders added. I personally add chocolate pieces and cold milled flax seeds and we eat them for breakfast. We are trail runners and get hungry for more protein in anything all the time!

I got the maple and brown sugar oatmeal. The flavor is okay on the natural sweet side. The texture though is a bit raw tasting (yes that’s the vibe but it’s not enjoyable to me). I used water and heated it up in the microwave. I guess this is good for camping or quick food but IMO not worth it compared to other brands in terms of texture.

Kodiak is one of my go-to brands for a variety of protein-rich items, such as their oatmeal and their granola bars. I like the many varieties that all have an excellent taste and add in extra protein, which is helpful.

I have tried most of the products that Kodiak offers. I love the pancake mix and the waffles because they taste good and have protein. The oatmeal is really good too. I wish the ingredients were cleaner and it had less added sugar.

I’ve been a Kodiak Cakes fan for a long time! Their buttermilk pancake mix, their flapjacks in a cup, and oatmeal are amazing!

These cookie butter crunchy granola bars feel like a smart start to the day. I would prefer a chewy bar as the crunchy one gets a bit messy, and the cookie butter flavor could be a bit more pronounced. Overall this feels like a good grab and go breakfast though.

I have tried their power cakes before and I think they are really good. It’s awesome to see how much protein is in this and I feel great feeding it to myself and my family. I do think it makes the pancakes a little bit dense though.

I've tried their protein waffles and the granola bar a couple of times. They definitely tasted A LOT better than I thought they would! If trying to be healthier or even just switching out some of your snacks. These are definitely the way to go plus you get about 7-10grams of protein per bar. If you want to incorporate more protein in your diet, well here you go!

I love all of the products Kodiak makes, but I am a particular fan of the frozen pancakes and pancake mixes. My first introduction to the brand was with the pancake mix and they had me hooked. I recently tried their frozen pancakes and love that they offer them. I am not a fan of waffles and never have been and healthy frozen pancakes are hard to find. However, when I discovered that Kodiak made frozen pancakes I had to try them. They are so convenient and easy to pop in the toaster or microwave for a quick meal or snack.
Kodiak pancake and waffle mix is a go-to breakfast staple—hearty, filling, and packed with protein. It cooks up light and fluffy with a great texture and flavor. Super easy to prepare and keeps me full for hours.
