Post-menopause, I've got horrible, stubby eyelashes and really wanted mascara that would give them back some of the va-va-voom they once had. My sister bought me this Jones Road mascara as a gift, since it is a luxe product and quite pricey, thinking it would suit my mature beauty needs. I was excited to use it and it's certainly better than what I'd been using before: the super buildable formula feels luxurious on the eyes, it doesn't flake, smudge in light rain or irritate my sensitive eyes and it really makes my lashes look long - and consequently my eyes look more wide awake, which is a bonus. What I don't like is the prone-to-clogging brush which deposits too much mascara for me at one time, making my lashes clumpy and requiring me to use a clean spoolie to separate them. I've tried really scraping the brush on the side of the tube before application but thus far I've not been successful in perfecting my technique.
