Hoka earns strong reviews for comfort and performance—many runners, walkers, and all‑day-on-feet professionals report pain relief, plush cushioning, and durable mileage from models like Clifton, Bondi, Arahi, Mach, and Speedgoat—yet critiques cite bulk, uneven fit between styles, and polarizing aesthetics. Reviews also flag premature wear, narrow or wide fit mismatches, and inconsistent stability on trails, making model selection and foot type matching critical.

  • Nike, it’s like I never even knew ya. And you feel like a wooden clog compared to my beloved Hokas. Won’t ever stop buying. I love you.

  • The best walking, running, everyday shoe. I have high arches and need something with support, these are the best I’ve found. The Bondi are by far my favorite. Love that they come in leather for easy cleaning with a nonslip sole. Highly recommend!

  • GREAT shoe. I have a high arch, and this shoe has helped decrease foot pain at the end of the day.

It’s on the expensive side, but such a great shoe it’s worth it to me.

  • Great shoes! Lots of support, everyone in my household has a pair (or two).

  • Replaced my Clifton 7's with Clifton 9's because my old ones were destroyed from a few years of good use. I love how comfortable they are, and the all-white is super cute and clean-looking. They also have a wide fit option which is nice.

    Feedback

Pricey for running shoes, but worth it.

  • these are amazing shoes! so lightweight and have great arch support.

  • I bought these because I have plantar fasciitis really bad & needed better shoes. These do feel great to work in and my foot doesn’t hurt nearly as bad. My mother also just bought a pair.

  • I have the ahari due to needing a stability shoe and love it so far! For training and running it’s been a solid shoe but I wish it was a little bit wider even though I got the wide version.

    Feedback

Make the wide, wider the ahari.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE my Hokas! I'd been purchasing Brooks sneakers for about three year and just wanted to try something new. I went to a running store to get fitted and recommendations and ended up with Hokas. They are amazing, so cushiony, lightweight and I also love the color options they have!

  • Offers a wide range of footwear with super comfortable technology. I’ve began using the Clifton 6 model I believe and there’s been no complaints so far into use. I’ve heard great things about the recovery slides so I’m hoping to try them out soon.

I think Hoka puts out great products at well justified prices. The cherry on top is their collaborative work for more lifestyle options.

  • I was hesitant to pay $140 for casual shoes when I’m used to buying them off the sale rack. But these are worth the money—very comfortable, decent looking and long wearing. I’ve been wearing my current pair for over a year and they still look great

  • I originally bought Hoka's because I heard that the "maximal" padding style was really great to relieve pain and injury. As a weekend warrior, who runs to cross train, I was slowing down from knee and ankle aches. Once I tried Hoka's all the pain went away and I was running again! I have bought Hoka's for years since. I also converted my partner and my father in law to Hoka's and they now run with nothing else. Best running shoe ever.

Hoka's don't aways last that long. I've often had wear on the inner linings.

  • These shoes are overrated. Wear out fast. Had my second pair for a few months and the foot pain became annoying after 3 hours of wear. Placed gdefy insoles in the hoka sneaker and what an improvement. So back to gdefy shoes , no more hoka mania. Wearing a great comfort shoe in Gdefy.

  • I rarely leave negative reviews. I’ve been a loyal HOKO customer for years and have always appreciated the comfort and quality of their shoes. Unfortunately, my recent experience with their customer service has left me deeply disappointed. While in New York on business, my dress shoes began giving me painful blisters. I stopped by the HOKO store on 5th Avenue in hopes of finding a more comfortable shoe. As I’ve encountered before, the store had limited stock, but they didn’t carry my size. A salesperson suggested I purchase a larger size to get me through the week. He assured me that if the shoes weren’t comfortable, I could return them by mail once I got home, and they would send the correct size. Trusting his word, I wore the shoes for three days, then mailed them back as instructed—clean and in good condition—requesting the proper size. To my surprise, the shoes were returned to me with a note stating they had been “worn” and were therefore ineligible for return. I was shocked and frustrated. Of course they had been worn—that was the salesperson’s recommendation. The shoes showed no real wear, and I had followed the exact guidance provided by HOKO staff. Does HOKO not stand behind the promises made by its sales team? In the end, I’m left with an ill-fitting pair of shoes and the feeling that a company I trusted let me down. HOKO lost a loyal customer for no good reason. I have always heard HOKA has good shoes but they don't have a customer service culture - I found that to be very true.

  • Soon, I won't be able to count but I believe this is my 6th pair of HOKA running shoes. Just got the Bondi 9. Did know the 8 could be beat but it was.......increased stability and seems more absorbent on the heel. I'm a little sad they took away the heel hook to help put them on, I used that feature all the time. The colors are fun, maybe not what I would have picked but it brought me out of the same ol same ol so I guess that's ok or maybe even better. :) I replace every 6 months and I'm always pleased at how well they hold up.

  • Absolutely the worst customer service ever. I have no trainers and no refund. Pretty obvious they have a blanket policy of not refunding for items lost by the courier. I can see by the reviews, I wish I'd read before purchasing , that I'm far from alone . I have proof of posting. This is all that is required by Royal Mail to allow a claim to be made by the retailer. The retailer should always refund the customer and then claim from Royal Mail.

  • I wouldn’t have any idea how the shoes are because I never got them. I ordered two pairs, spent over $300 for nothing. I contact customer service at HOKA about this 7 weeks ago and they said they would “look into it.” I haven’t heard a peep from them. Contacted them today and they still can’t give me any answers as to if I will actually get my shoes or my money back. Horrendous customer, I was scammed out of my money.

  • The HOKA Running Shoes have exceeded my expectations! They provide outstanding support and cushioning, which has made my long walks much easier on my feet. The breathability of the material keeps my feet cool, even during hot days, and the lightweight design allows for smoother movements. The comfort and performance of these shoes are exceptional. They really help reduce fatigue during extended wear, making them a great choice for both running and walking. However, I would love to see adjustments to the material as it tends to get dirty over time, which can be a bit frustrating. Despite these minor issues, I highly recommend the HOKA Running Shoes. They are a fantastic lightweight option for anyone looking for comfort and supporting running shoes!

  • Regarding purchase from HOKA website, I would give zero stars for customer service if I could. Issues: 1. I ordered shoes that were "in stock" and signed up to get free shipping, to save $8.00 2. Next day, got email from HOKA saying shoe not available 3. I clicked email link to shop for same shoe in different color 4. Order went thru, but they tacked on $8.00 for shipping 5. I've been dealing with bots for 3 days 6. can't get through to a human 7. I've had to provide same information in different configurations, again and again 8. Bottom line, they won't refund the $8.00 shipping fee Date of experience: July 01, 2024
