  • These were awesome because the seasoning was so rich, it gave an excellent flavor to my dish!! It was awesome on a day I didn't have much time to cook. The rich flavor is just awesome !

  • These make for a really easy pantry dinner! The Kimchi Sesame is my favorite flavor that I've tried—I appreciate that on their own they don't feel too salty or over-seasoned but are still favorful. To turn them into a meal I've added rice, and maybe an egg or whatever veggies I have on hand.

  • I tried the Apricot Glazed Baked Beans and the Encilada Black Beans. The enchilada sauce on the black beans was delicious, highly recommend this variant. The baked beans were a little too sweet for my taste however. They are fairly expensive as well. You can find them at Whole Foods.

  • I`ve never tried canned soup before, but when I went to Whole Foods I saw a new product from Heyday Canning Company, and I knitted 2 jars to try it out. The ingredients are wonderful, I didn’t even believe that in our time there are products without any E additives and soy proteins. The jar opens easily, you just have to pull the ring, which is very convenient. Well, what can I tell you - it's very tasty. I couldn't even believe that it was in a jar, a very rich, thick taste, with a bit of spicyness. My husband liked it so much! He even joked that if there is no time and guests are on the doorstep, you can warm up the jar and pass it off as your own creation, well, you can't say that it is canned food.

  • I loved the simplicity! The can has a pull off tab on the lid, you dump it into a pot, and heat it up for a couple minutes. That's it. It was so easy. I paired mine with a plate of jasmine rice as was recommended on the can. The flavor was authentic and delicious! The ingredients were healthy and all very top-notch. I didn't feel guilty eating this one, and I definitely wouldn't mind purchasing this again.

  • I just love HeyDay! Every variety I’ve had to far (enchilada black beans, coconut curry chickpeas, kimchi beans) have all been delicious. I wouldn’t say I’m a huge bean person and would really only buy canned black beans before but love how easy it is to have the base of a meal with the beans already in a sauce/seasoning. So easy to heat up and put over rice.

  • Super fun packaging. I've tried the Enchilada Black Beans, Harissa Lemon Chickpeas (the recipe on their site is incredible) and the Kimchi Sesame Navy Beans. Each of the sauces have a ton of flavor, and it's such a great way to elevate a pantry staple like beans.

Check out their website for some recipe ideas as even though I had ideas of how to use them it was fun to consider other recipes or uses

  • I was drawn to these beans because of their packaging and the company's marketing and ended up really liking their products! The coconut curry over rice was a quick and easy meal when I didn't feel like cooking. Interested in trying more of their flavors!

  • These beans are not basic by any means. These have great sauces that taste amazing. All make a fantastic meal with some veggies. I can't find the Apricot Glazed, but have tried a few of them with much to rave about. First, organic. Second, great label designs. The harissa, coconut and kimchi all have a great texture that I have yet to see with a bean and sauce combo. These are worth the price. With a few veggies, you have 3 meals from one can. The sauces are abundant and able to coat your vegetables.

  • I enjoyed trying out Heyday's coconut curry chickpeas. It has just the right amount of sauce with a nice balanced curry flavored. The price is much higher than a typical can of chickpeas, however, I think that the added sauce does make it worth the price.

  • Black beans with a lot of flavor! I used these to make enchiladas and they turned out great. I felt it needed additional tomato sauce adding as it was spicier than expected for the family Other than that no additional spices needed.

  • While looking at Wholesfood, this caught my eye because of the cute & vintage packaging. The Kimchi Sesame flavor intrigued me enough to buy it and tried it that night. I've never really liked beans, but not often have I seen beans paired with Asian flavors like Kimchi so I had to try! The verdict is it's a HIT! I heated it and ate with with rice, the beans have so MUCH flavors in them, I might be a fan of beans now?! I'll be sure to try out their other flavors!

  • It has good flavor, it’s a nice mild coconut curry. Makes for a quick meal, I just added jasmine rice like suggested on the can.

  • I recently tried the Heyday Canning Harissa Lemon Chickpeas and absolutely LOVE them! They have a delicious flavor, perfect balance of heat and are so quick to prepare. They used these chickpeas in a recipe along with garlic, sliced fennel, lemon slices and feta and it tasted delicious! I will definitely be buying these again!

  • Very tasty as is, just heated from the can. Loved the flavor, the kimchi and lots of sesame notes really come out. At my local store the price was much lower than I believe they usually sell for (i.e at the price I paid I may buy them again, but if they were $5 or more I would not) My only drawback was creative ways to eat it aside right from the can. I think next time I’d enjoy it as a side dish by itself, but I mixed it with ramen noodles and didn’t really want to eat a whole bowl. The website has a couple suggested recipes/good ideas for use, but with flavors as unique and stand alone as they have, these beans are a niche product. If they’re on sale, I’d give them a try otherwise, they’re best suited for true bean lovers.

  • One of my coworkers was raving about them at the lunch table one day & thought I'd give them a try next time I was at Whole Foods. I've now purchased the enchilada can SEVERAL times. It really hits a spot and saves me a bunch of time & ingredients when I'm craving a nice bowl of beans. (I grew up on bean heavy chili so this really hits the spot in terms of spice & flavor). My one complaint would be the price is a lot more than your normal can of beans but for the time it saves & flavor it delivers I can't complain too much.

  • I tried the enchilada black beans. The beans themselves are delicious, I added them to tacos. The seasoning is flavorful, doesn’t need any additional salt. I like that right on the cans they tell you if the beans are mild, medium, or hot. As someone who can’t tolerate spicy food this is often a concern when trying something new that you know could be spicy so I felt confident I wouldn’t have an issue. The beans have a little kick that builds as you eat but nothing too much. I think I could even try the medium level although probably wouldn’t be able to have too much at a time. If you really like spicy food you would want to add more spice to the black beans. While definitely pricier for a can of beans, you don’t have to do any additional work that you would to doctor up a can of plain beans.

  • These beans are so tasty, full of flavor and have a nice texture. Heat them up for a few minutes and you can get a quick dinner on the table. They are so versatile and can be used in many different dishes.

  • I absolutely love this concept and branding. I threw the Tomato Alla Vodka can in with a plain can of beans, diced tomatoes, and frizzled onions with other flavors (red pepper flakes, lemon zest, garlic). So, it wasn't a clean taste test. I will say that I wasn't overwhelmed with the flavor of the beans when I tried them by themselves. But I will buy it again because I am super curious about the other flavors.

  • I tried the coconut curry chickpeas. I just heated them up and served them over rice, and it made for a really easy and tasty lunch. I could see this becoming a go-to for when I'm busy. I love the spices!
