  • Herbivore Botanicals is one of those brands that nails the aesthetic—their packaging is beautiful, minimal, and definitely shelfie-worthy. But when it comes to actual performance, the results can feel hit or miss. Some products deliver a noticeable glow and hydration, while others don’t quite live up to the hype or feel inconsistent over time. If you’re buying into the vibe and care about presentation, they’re a win, but if you’re after reliably effective skincare, you might find yourself reaching for other options more often.

  • I was die hard for Herbivore Botanicals for several years. There were of the first skincare brands that was more unique that I got into post-college years ago. The blue tansy oil got me through many seasons of breakouts- it felt like the only thing that would tame my breakouts in that time. As I got older, I tried the Phoenix Rosehip Oil, After Sun Soothing Aloe Mist, and the Pink Clay Exfoliating Mask. I haven't bought something from them in years as I don't have as many breakouts, and today there are a number of similar products that are much less expensive than theirs. In my opinion, they haven't kept up with the rest of skincare, but I would still be interested in trying some of the new products (in a travel or sample size).
